It was 7:00 PM and Hikari had gotten back to the headquarters and was currently having a meeting with The Chairman.
"It seems this is bigger than what we had initially thought. There were 4 of them, not just one, and the teleporter was among them."
"I see... Describe them to me."
"Well, there was a girl who looked like she was around 15 or 16 wearing a high school uniform. That was the one I dispatched immediately and the teleporter had to take her away. The teleporter dude was wearing white robes. There was the girl with the fire breath too who was wearing like a black suit with a red shirt and silver chains and stuff. Finally, there was the samurai dude who was wearing a purple kimono."
"Any common piece of clothing between them?"
"That's the creepy part. There were all wearing the same silver earring on their left ear, one with the kanji for prisoner, 囚, engraved on it. Its like how we wear the kanji for human, 人, on our belts. They're showing that they oppose us meaning they know a whole lot about us. Don't you find that concerning, Chairman-sama?"
"How is it that these alter-"
knock! knock!
"Its me, Chairman-sama! I have exciting news, we have a new alternate-user with us!"
"Really? That's good to hear, Yuko. I'm busy at the moment so just go to bed with your group and I'll meet him tomorrow morning."
"Okie dokie, sir!" Group 5 left the scene.
Hikari made a shocked face. "Another new member already? Its not even been a month since we got Take-"
"..."
"How's he doing now, that kid?"
Yuko, Rento and Kanji-Man got to the Group 5 dorm room and started cleaning themselves up. Yuko removed her suit jacket and said, "I'll go to the shower first. You 2 have a nice chat with each other, ok? Don't go on your phone, Takahashi-kun."
"Alright, senpai...", Rento said while looking annoyed at Kanji-Man.
Yuko went to the bathroom and Rento sat on his bed. "That's the bed Senpai sleeps in and this is the bunkbed you and I will use."
"We're gonna become bunkbed buddies? Thank you, comrade!", Kanji-Man said while doing a salute.
"What the hell are you doing...?"
"I'm expressing my gratitude, comrade.", He replied while still saluting.
"Uhh... Don't call me comrade, dude. That's weird."
"Weired...? Weird, you say? Tell me, comrade! AREN'T YOU AND I GOING TO FIGHT TOGETHER TO DEFEND EARTH FROM EVIL!? AREN'T YOU AND I GOING TO TRUST EACH OTHER WITH OUR LIVES AND PROTE-"
Rento went on his phone.
"..."
Rento stayed on his phone.
"WHY ARE YOU IGNORING ME, TAKAHASHI-KUN!?"
Rento sighed. "Just stop it with that stuff. You're an absolute weirdo, you know that? The fact that you accepted this life so easily makes me wonder if you're even human. You do understand that you have to say goodbye to your life until now, right? This is it now. Waking up and risking your life and fighting those monsters every single day. That's your life now."
"..." Kanji-Man just stood there making a blank expression at Rento.
"You gonna say anything?"
"I've thought about it now."
"You hadn't thought about that before!?" "Where do these people come from?"
"My whole life, I just wanted to be a hero. That's it. I wanted to save others, I wanted to be the reason for people's smiles. So when you say that I have to say goodbye to my previous life in order to live this one? I'm absolutely delighted by that!", Kanji-Man said while giving a thumbs up to Rento.
"This is all cause of Super Sentai, right?"
"Of course, it is!", Kanji-Man said while making a big goofy smile.
Rento chuckled. "You're lucky, you know?"
"Lucky? What do you mean?"
"I wish someone else I knew could be happy about this like you.", Rento said in a voice with a slight hint of sadness.
"Who are you talki-"
Rento put his phone back in his pocket and said, "Sleep well tonight. You have a lot of stuff to do tomorrow. You'll talk to the chairman, get your suit, talk to Otori-san about the thing, go on patrol for the first and learn to use the 2nd form properly."
"That makes me nothing but excited, comrade."
"Good to know and stop calling me comrade!", Rento said while smiling.
Yuko got out of the bathroom wearing her pajamas. "Its your turn, Takahashi-kun."
"Alright, senpai.", Rento said and went in to take a bath.
Kanji-Man looked over at Yuko and said, "He's a nice kid, isn't he?"
Yuko sat down on the bed and said, "I know, I'm glad you already realized. He tries to act all tough but inside, he's just a good kid that cares about others. He needs to work on his manners though. I've been trying to help him with that for quite some time but it still hasn't worked. He's quite a lot of work, that Takahashi-kun..."
"I bet.", Kanji-Man smirked.
Yuko laid down on her bed and said, "We'll eat the stuff we bought at the convenience store after you both are done cleaning up."
After a while, both Rento and Kanji-Man were done with their baths and all 3 of them sat down on a mat and began eating their instant ramen and drinking their juice boxes.
"Hey Kanji-Man-kun, what's your real name?", Yuko said while munching on her ramen.
"Its Louis Bernard, milady. Also, its rude to talk while eating, young lady.", Kanji-Man replied. "Hmph! You can't tell me what to do, Kanji-Man-kun! I'm your senpai and only I get to teach you lessons and stuff!", Yuko said while pretending to be annoyed.
"You're a Frenchman, Kanji-Man?", Rento asked.
"Yes I am, Takahashi-kun."
"Cool, you guys make some great food. When did you move here?"
"Its been a few years now. I hope the folks back home are doing well."
slurp! "Why'd you move to Japan, Kanji-Man-kun?", Yuko asked.
"Well, its because-"
"Wait wait wait! I'll answer that for you, senpai.", Rento interrupted.
"Huh? Takahashi-kun?"
"Its cause of Super Sentai."
Kanji-Man jumped up and made a shocked face. "HOW DID YOU KNOW? DO YOU POSSESS THE ABILITY OF MIND READING, TAKAHASHI-KUN!?"
Rento smacked his head and said, "Geez..."
Yuko started laughing hysterically and said, "I think you guys are gonna be great!"
