Rento was chasing Kanji-Man with extreme annoyance. "He's suddenly getting faster!"
"Yo, dude! I already said I ain't no monster! Just stop and have a chat with me!", Rento shouted.
"Hell no, monster-kun! You'll devour me!"
"JUST SHUT UP ABOUT THAT, WILL YOU!?"
Outside Ignis Coffee, the alternate and Yuko were still having their brawl. The alternate stretched out its right leg, increased the size of that foot and flung it towards Yuko. She dashed to the side easily dodging it and sent out another energy blast pushing the alternate back once again. It was getting extremely pissed. "HUMAN DIE!!!!!"
"Well, I've had fun with you but I should get done with you already. Sorry, alternate-chan.", Yuko said with a pleasant smile on her face. She dashed towards the alternate, sent another energy blast while still in the air and sharpened her nails. The alternate lying on the ground due to the energy blast realized it was going to die and screamed in utter fear. "NOOOO!!!!! STOP, HUMAN!!! I BEG!!" It tried to release its sleeping gas but before it could,

Yuko had stabbed her nails straight into the alternate's brain as she landed on the ground. "Sleep well, alternate-chan. I guess I should chase after Takahashi-kun now tha-"
"Senpai, I captured the weirdo!", Rento said as he walked over to Yuko while dragging Kanji-Man with his right hand. He threw Kanji-Man in front of him and said, "You can't run anymore, answer our questions."
"PLEASE DON'T EAT ME!", Kanji-Man screamed in fear. Yuko began to laugh and Rento looked annoyed. "Just stop it with that. I'll say it just one more time, we're not monsters!"
"You're not...?"
"Of course we're not!", Yuko said in a friendly voice trying to remove Kanji-Man's fear.
"Then what the hell are you guys...?"
"We ask the questions first, weirdo. When exactly did you awaken?", Rento said trying to sound tough and commanding.
Kanji-Man who was still on the ground started to feel extremely intimidated by Rento's aura. Meanwhile in Rento's head, "Damn, that was so tuff. I have so much aura right now, I bet I sound so cool and masculine to Ikari-senpai right now."
"Awaken? I... I don't know what that means..."
"I'm asking you when your alternate awakened and you became an alternate-user!?"
"What...?", Kanji-Man said sounding extremely confused. Yuko looked over at Rento and said, "Come on, my kohai. We need to explain his situation to him first otherwise he won't even understand our questions."
"Sorry, senpai..."
"Its okay, Takahashi-kun. It was just a small mistake.", Yuko said with a pleasant smile. Kanji-Man was feeling more and more anxious, his situation was terrifying. Two people wearing black suits with weird powers standing above him talking about stuff he didn't understand as he just sat there.
Yuko bent down to meet Kanji-Man at eye level. "You don't have to be scared, Kanji-Man-kun. We're not bad guys. Let me explain everything, the reason you have the supernatural abilities to defeat that monster over there is because an alternate awakened within you.", Yuko said while pointing at the dead alternate from earlier with holes in its forehead. Kanji-Man gulped.
"An alternate is a monster that awakens within random people all throughout Japan. In most cases, the alternate completely takes over the host and that creates the monster you defeated but in some cases, the alternate fails in taking over and the host becomes an alternate-user. That's us. We can willingly transform specific parts of our body to the alternate and use its abilities."
Kanji-Man started to feel a bit more calm. "Is that all really true?"
"Yup!", Yuko replied. "We alternate-users join a secret organization called SOMA and fight against alternates daily. You'll be with us now."
Kanji-Man's eyes started to glitter in excitement. "I ha-"
"Before that, you'll answer our questions.", Rento said in a serious deep voice once again trying to sound tough and intimidating.
"Oh- Okay..."
Yuko looked over at Rento and said, "You don't have to be so rude, Takahashi-kun!" Rento looked shocked. "Sorry, senpai..." "Aww man... Senpai didn't think I was cool at all..."
He looked back at Kanji-Man and asked, "When an alternate awakening occurs, SOMA is immediately informed about it and where it happened, how the hell did yours go unnoticed?"
"I don't know..."
"When an alternate appears, the area is completely evacuated through Otori-san's ability to subconsciously command others. Only SOMA agents can get into that area so how the hell did you manage to come here when that alternate awakened?"
"I don't know..."
"Why the hell are you wearing a Senshi suit?"
"Its because I'm the biggest fan ever of Super Sentai! Its the reason I've always had the dream to be a hero and that's why I started hunting down these monsters when I got these incredible powers!"
"..." "What a character..."
Yuko started to ponder. "When did you get your powers, Kanji-Man-kun?"
"It was around 2 weeks ago, young lady."
"Two weeks ago, huh? I think I know why your awakening went unnoticed. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm older than you."
"Brilliant, senpai! You've already figured it out, what do you think the reason is?", Rento asked while his eyes were filled with admiration.
"I can't be sure but two weeks ago was when Kagura-san was replacing the Chairman for a day, right?"
"Oh..."
Flashback to 2 weeks ago when Hikari was in charge of informing the groups of the alternate awakenings,
Hikari sat there in the chairman's office bored out of his mind.
"Man, this is so boring... Does the chairman really just do this all day!?", Hikari said sounding annoyed.
He glanced at the electronic table in front of him and said to himself, "That thing hasn't gone off in a bit... There probably won't be another alternate awakening for a while, I should go mess with Jiro-kun and have some fun!"
He then left the office all excited for another one of his pranks and exactly when he did, the table went off signaling the awakening of Kanji-Man.
Back to the present,
"Kagura-san...", Yuko and Rento both sighed.
"Who's that?", Kanji-Man asked.
Yuko looked back at him and said, "You'll meet him soon, he's the strongest."
"The Strongest? I can't let that stand! I must join this SOMA, surpass him in power and become the no.1 Hero!"
Rento offered his hand to Kanji-Man and said, "Get up, its getting dark. We're heading back to headquarters. I guess the only way we can find out why Otori-san's ability didn't work on you is by asking the man himself."
Kanji-Man gladly took Rento's hand and said, "I look forward to working with you two! I promise that I'll be of great help in the battles to come."
"Whatever, man.", Rento replied in a nonchalant voice trying to sound cool.
"I look forward to it too, Kanji-Man-kun!", Yuko said sounding excited.
