As soon as the system showed, something hit me with a full sense of suspicion and awareness.
*What does it mean [Chapter 1]?*
Another thought adds up.
*Am I in some sort of story?*
While I'm deep in my thoughts, everyone is starting to do the second step of the plan.
The mud is now covered with goblins trapped inside it. There must be over twenty of them stuck in the mud. Although orcs aren't as intelligent as goblins, they take advantage of their allies trapped by using them as footholds to continue charging toward us.
Other Goblins before the mud, using rocks and stones as weapons and throw at us like rain is coming. There are dozens of rocks and stones coming toward us. We were lucky as Tankers in our team protected us with their big iron shield. Archers, who were on the tree, were shooting arrows toward those orcs and goblins.
"Everyone, it's time to freeze the mud!"
Seraphine shouted and grinned.
The ice mages of Frostveil start casting their spells when all the orcs are on the mud. The temperature of the mud begins to drop. The mud slowly freezes. The orcs notice the freezing particles and try to charge toward us as quickly as they can to reach us.
The goblins behind the orcs start throwing rocks and stones toward us. The tankers immediately raised their large iron shields, blocking the incoming objects while holding back the charging orcs. On top of the trees, the archers take care of the goblins by shooting arrows. Some goblins are crying out in pain as arrows pierced their bodies.
Within a moment, thanks to the tankers, the ice spreads across the battlefield, trapping those orcs in place. Those orcs' lower bodies are now stuck; they can only move their hand only. Archers know that, so they use their bows and shoot at the orcs' hands that hold the weapon.
When ice mages stop their casting, someone shouts.
"Everyone, charge!"
It's Kael; he shouts and charges toward those monsters before everyone can realize it.
Inspired by his lead, everyone else also charges into battle. The adventurers and knights rushed straight toward the remaining goblins.
Meanwhile, the spearmen stayed behind, using their long spears to damage the orcs. The trapped orcs struggle to fight back as they swing their arms wildly.
From the trees above, the archers continue firing arrows, stopping the advancing goblins and supporting the fighters below.
Behind the battlefield, the mages cast support and attack spells, assisting everyone from a safe distance.
The battlefield is now turning to chaos. The King beside me watches his people fight. His gaze falls on Arthur, who leads his members as they corner some goblins and kill them. He then looks toward Kael and the other adventurers, immersed in battle against monsters. Not far away, Seraphine and Vaelira, with the other mages, use dazzling spells. A proud smile slowly forms on the King's face.
I'm still lost in thought, wondering about the "welcoming" to [Chapter 1] shown by the system hologram. While my mind is focused on that thought, a goblin somehow slips through the battlefield and is about to approach the King and me. Several people notice it and shout, trying to warn me to kill them with the sword in my hand.
"Kid! In front of you!"
Several voices suddenly shouted. They tried to warn me of the danger.
"Be careful! Protect the King!"
When I finally snap out of my thought, it's already too late. The goblin is already near; instead of heading and attacking the King, it comes and tries to attack me.
*Shit... Am I gonna die?!*
I fall back and close my eyes as it approaches.
I keep my eyes closed, hearing a cutting sound. Confused, I open my eyes.
As soon as I open my eyes, I see a goblin head in front of me.
"Wha!"
I screamed as I saw the goblin dead.
The King, holding a sword, was still on the horse. But his iron and gold sword was now covered in the purple blood of the goblin in front of me.
"W-what just happened?"
I said confusingly.
"You just escaped from the death gate, young man."
The King sighed, putting his sword back to the sword cover.
"You should pay attention. This place is dangerous to get distracted."
"I-I understand..."
I answered. Standing up to get back to myself.
*No... I need to be careful. I need to find a way to save everyone from the danger I saw in my future vision.*
I thought, holding tight my sword and looking toward the battlefield.
The King looks at me and speaks up.
"You should know this..."
I turned my head to the King, not answering him yet.
"Do not force the blade..."
He said, a smile forming on his face.
"...A sword shows its true weight only to the wrong hands."
"W-what?"
I said, confused at his words.
"What do you mean, y-your Majesty?"
I asked.
"Nothing."
He chuckled.
"More goblins are coming; be careful."
He said, catching my attention back to the battlefield.
I turned my head, seeing three goblins slip through everyone and come toward us.
I looked at the sword in my hand and those goblins with determination.
*Let's do this!*
I rush toward them.
The ferociously charging goblins notice my attention and charge toward me more ferocious.
I stop myself and swing the sword toward them.
The sword feels a little bit heavy, but somehow I manage to deal a hit on one of the goblins. It got a shallow cut.
The goblin screams in pain, even though the cut is only shallow. The other two goblins are distracted by their hurting friend. Seeing the opportunity, I swing my sword at them again.
The King watches me attack those goblins, seeing the attack as a clumsy lack of power, and he smiles.
*One day... one day you will understand that word means...*
I struggle and finally land a critical hit on one of the goblins.
The familiar sound of the system hologram appears, catching my attention.
*What?! The system?*
I think, confused.
Another system message appears.
I stop myself while fighting two goblins and look at the system. The two goblins stop in their tracks, confused by my sudden pause.
*What?! My [Authority]? And why is the system not glitching when it talks about my [Authority]?*
The system appears again.
My eyes widen as I see the message.
*My [Authority] is lending me its power?! Is it a living thing?*
I thought, but stopped my thought immediately to fight those Goblins.
*I will check it later.*
Another system pops up, but I know what it's going to show, so I ignore it.
< STR: 1 —> 2 >
I swing my sword and somehow kill one of the two goblins with surprise.
"Hm?"
The King sees the whole scene with interest.
Three system messages show up as I finish the goblin.
< STR: 2 —> 3 >
< You have obtained [Basic Swordsmanship] >
< [Basic Swordsmanship] Lv. 1 >
As I try to examine the message, the last goblin angrily attacks me.
I see through it and dodge it. I step back as I dodge his punch and attack it with another sword swing.
Now all three are dead, I look at them, loosing my grip of my sword a little, panting tiredly. My white t-shirt and my sword are covered with their blood. My eyes glow dark brown as I'm panting, waiting for something to happen.
*So tired... I need to res—*
As if fate heard my thoughts, the ground suddenly rumbled.
*Could it be?!*
I thought, stepping back near the King behind.
Skeletal hands burst through the ground, startling everyone in the middle of the battle.
*It... Happening...*
I hold my sword tight again and get back to the fighting position.
More skeletal hands appear; those hands press against the ground, showing a skull. Revealing themselves as skeleton.

"Those damn skeletons."
I mumbled angrily.
"Are they skeletons?"
Somebody shouted angrily after their fight, catching my attention.
"They are here too!"
Others shouted.
Everyone was angry as they appeared, even knowing that the battle would have undead.
Alice, one of the Holy Knights, raised her hand. A bright light comes from her palm shines over the battlefield. The living skeletons around her turned into lifeless bones, erased by the light.
*W-what is that?! A holy light?*
I thought, amazed by her power.
Other members of the Holy Knights with
*Right, I forgot that the members of the Holy Knights can kill them easily...*
*I'm such an idiot.*
I chuckle at how stupid I am, as I see five skeletons try to go out of the underground to welcome me with their attacks.
"C'mon, I'm ready."
I said, charging toward one of them.
One skeleton finally pulled its skull free from the ground.
"Too late."
I smiled evilly.
I am already in front of it. I kick its skull so hard that it flies toward the Holy Knights members trying to kill more skeletons, while other adventurers assist them with defeating goblins.
< STR: 3 —> 4 >
Another message pops up.
< [Basic Swordsmanship] Lv. 1 —> 2 >
*In my memories, these skeletons' weaknesses are their head, the light, and water.*
I smiled as I thought.
Another skeletons are also finally gets out from the ground and surrounds me. I take a step back as they try to corner me into a circle with only four of them. My head starts to sweat a little because of anxiety. They start getting the fifth skeleton that I kicked the head, legs, and arms as weapons.
A message pops up before those skeletons charge toward me.
*Fuck! I'm getting stress and anxiety?!*
I smirked, full of anxiety now.
