Chapter 34 - A New Day

It was around mid day, and a single figure stood upon the green grass; a boulder beside him--his small hands came upon the rock and pushed.

Of course, this was Koji, who was now nine.

Currently, he was in a very tough situation that challenged the very fiber of his being!

'This fucking rock won't budge!'

He strained his small arms to the point of them shaking and wobbling like old railroad tracks attempting to hold a train.

'Holy shit... Holy shit! I am going to fucking destroy the next asshole I see because of this!'

Koji was having a rather... Interesting internal confirmation....

'Ugh....!'

Sweat poured from his eccrine glands, cascading over his small figure and cooling him down a bit.

"Keep going Koji! This is essential for your training!"

Lin simply snickered as he witnessed Koji's grueling situation; after all, he was the one who had devised this!

'Eh? Old man, one day... Mark my words you filthy brute, I shall humble thou for ever daring to send such words my way!'

The sun shined in all of it's beauty; though, for Koji, it was more like a factor of his suffering in his present condition.

'Wait.. Did I even think that correctly? Is it thy, thou, thee? Wait! No, it doesn't matter; what matters is the great wall in front of me, the wall I shall climb, no--the wall I shall leap over!'

Yet, although Koji may spew these confident phrases to himself, currently he was failing under the weight of the rock.

"Uhm Lin, I don't think he can move it..."

Mei cringed slightly watching Koji struggle so horribly.

"No, don't worry Mei; Koji can do it!"

Lin laughed more, lifting his giant arm and patting his stomach.

Meanwhile, back inside the house a figure stood looking out through the window.

Ivan's eyes dilated as he watched his wife--who he put on a grand pedestal, who he held dearly with his very being--he watched as she talked with Lin.

He watched not with joy of her making a new friend--he felt utter jealously and rage.

'Lin; how I despise you. Oh yes, yes that should do; just being able to see you cut, diced up into pieces. You deserve it, you are seeking it--how could you not be? So obviously treading into my wife's life, trying to get your disgusting hands on her!'

'Is she smiling? No, she's smiling in mockery! Yes, she could never find such a vile being humorous; my beautiful Mei, you're so perfect... Eh? I am being delusional... She may enjoy talking to him, she may want him--no, no! Fuck!'

'This suffering, this utter suffering; please, Mei come back to me--only you, and only you are able to distract me from myself.'

His hands sweat more than Koji's body did while trying to move the rock; truly, a normal person would describe his behavior as insane.

--

'Come on, push! If I can't push such a small obstacle, how will I ever complete my gigantic goals? Like fucking Ivory one day!'

He tried to push harder, but his arms only failed him; he tried to move forward, yet his legs wouldn't budge; he tried to focus harder, however his thoughts only grew wilder.

All goes to say, that all went to nay.

'Come on--Koji, you need to focus man! Wait! Ah shit, I forgot this stupid self motivation thing doesn't work for me--eh!? Why am I not focusing?'

'Shit, I give up! I can't... Well, let me see actually--oh! Yes, of course!'

He looked over, his tired gaze settling upon Lin and Mei.

"Master Lin, can i have help?"

'Hopefully he says yes...'

Lin smiled in response to Koji's question.

"Yes, actually that was the whole test Koji; all you needed to do was ask for help."

Koji's face paled instantly, transforming into that of a ghost.

'W-wait... What!? Lin you demon!'

Koji watched angrily as Lin got up and walked towards him--then moving the rock by himself with little effort.

--

The kitchen of the house was not completely light, still only being lit by a single chandelier like most of the house.

Especially now, because it was nearing dark.

"So, since you don't want to eat raw food Ivory, I will teach you to cook!"

Mei smiled down at Ivory, who had stated she didn't like raw food.

"Okay! Do you think I'll be good at it?"

Mei responded with a nod, after all she found Ivory to be a smart girl.

--

"Phew! Okay, the fire is put out..."

Mei had attempted to teach Ivory to cook... However, it was an utter failure.

(A Few Minutes ago).

"Ivory! No, don't put flammable objects over the fire!"

"Huh? What does flammable mean?"

Ivor's eyes widened in horror as a fire caught and burned passionately; it completely disrupted her vision.

"Ahh!"

(Back to now).

"Yeah, Ivory I think I will cook for now; when you grow a bit older I'll teach you, okay?"

Ivory was a little let down; she really wanted to learn, but still understood.

"Okay, I'm sorry about the fire by the way..."

Mei really didn't mind, and that was because Ivory was just a child.

"No, it's okay don't worry about it Ivory; now run along, I'll finish up."

Mei smiled, her blue eyes shining as the chandelier light hit them at the perfect angle.

After Ivory left, Ivan walked into the kitchen.

"Did everything go okay?"

He instantly wrapped his arms around his wife, like she was his possession.

Of course, Mei felt no issue with this--Ivan was after all, her husband; it was not weird for him to randomly hug her.

"Yes, but she did almost burn the kitchen down..."

Ivan simply laughed as she responded.

"She is just a kid, it makes sense."

--

'Are we serious? Why do they do this so much?'

Later that night, Koji heard the moans of Mei and the rocking of a bed above him.

'I can't even think when they are doing this--I just keep imagining it!'

His face scrunched up in disgust as his ears continued being assaulted by the "fun time" occurring above him.
