The hunger followed.*
"Scree.... krrk.."
The small spider stood up with difficulty driven by a single feeling, intense hunger.
It was in pained but it moved slowly but surely.
It stopped near the carcass of a fellow spider, opened its fangs biting into the food without stop, it secreted its venom directly into its food the insides of carcass liquified at remarkable speed afterall this spider was not a normal spider anymore but a mutated one.
The spider devoured its food at increadible speed the food sucking up into its stomach, the cells in its body seemed to vibrate with energy as the food entered it stomach.
It stood up soonafter with a little less difficulty than earlier and looked for its next prey it seemed like it was still hungry, very hungry, and moved onto its next prey.
Although most of the spiders in the container were dead some were still alive though barely, they twitched in pain the black spider continued to eat them one after the other.
Soon it stood up from its last pret clacking its fangs in what seemed like a display of joy and satisfaction.
The energy in the body of the little spider continued to rise but the hunger it did not seem to end, but it at least it was satisfied a little.
The energy flowed into its whole body making the spider soon stiffen, its body slowly hardened.
Was it dead?
No body knew.

The Rebirth*
Hours passed, the sound in the nearby labs had decreased by lot, almost quiet, it seemed like most of them had gone to their homes already.
A crack sounded in the container at this time, the black and dull hardened shell cracked slowly as a new shiny black fur appeared from the inside.
It struggled a little before it finally molted out of its shell, its head first appeared then its abdomen followed by its eight legs.
The black on its body was deep, its body was not fluffy like normal spider just out of molting but it was harder and sharper almost metallic looking.
Its legs were the same size but the ends were pointed and looked like shard needles.
Its fangs sharper like they could cut through their food with ease.
It was no longer in pain but was brimming with vitality, with energy.
The spider was reborn, a mutated spider.
The spider finally moved its sharp needle like legs leaving small pointed dents in the glass container.
Now that it was reborn the spider moved with renewed agility moving around the glass container.
As soon as it was reborn the feeling of the hunger continued grow, it was hungry, it wanted food but there was nothing there not in this contianer atleast.
"Scrree..."
It moved around the contianer looking for a way climbing the walls, the ceiling, but there was not way out. So it had to make one.
In anger it struck the glass container everwhere with its fangs with its sharp legs.
Fortunately for it it didn't have to waste much energy since there already a crack on the container. As soon as the sharp leg struck the crack spread and the glass exploded in the direction of the crack flying and hitting the contianer around it cracking them in the process as well.
The spider free from constraints move around a bit before fixing its eyes on the adjust container or more precisely the prey waiting for it inside.
The container tagged with code sx68.
....
Norman looked at the data recorded for this experiment with slight disappointment then brought up the data from the previous experiment 'SX68'
SX68 VS SX69 (times)
Body functions enhanced: 2. Vs 1.2
Neuron Snaptic enhancement: 2 vs 1.4
Brain size enhancement: 2 vs. -1
Brain cells enhancement: 4 vs -2
Healing factor enhancement: 0.2 vs 0.2
It looks like this once is failure after all.
