Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Forgotten Street

Aarav didn't sleep that night.

Not even for a minute.

Every time he closed his eyes—

He saw her face.

Not clearly.

Never clearly.

Just fragments.

Her eyes.Her voice.That strange sadness.

"…Why can't I remember properly?" he whispered.

The mark on his hand burned faintly again.

Three lines.

Crossing each other.

Proof that something real had happened.

Even if his mind kept trying to erase it.

🌅 Morning

The world looked normal.

Again.

Too normal.

Aarav stood near the bus stop, staring at the road in front of him.

Cars passed.

People talked.

Someone argued on the phone.

Life continued like nothing was wrong.

"…Maybe I really am losing my mind," he muttered.

But then—

He noticed something strange.

"…Wasn't there a shop here?"

He frowned.

Right next to the bus stop—

There should have been a small grocery store.

He passed it every day.

Bought water there last week.

Even yesterday morning.

But now—

Nothing.

Just an empty wall.

A blank space where the shop used to be.

Aarav stared at it.

"…No way."

He stepped closer.

Touched the wall.

Cold concrete.

Old.

Like the shop had never existed.

🧠 The Memory Test

A man walked past him.

"Excuse me," Aarav said quickly."Wasn't there a shop here before?"

The man frowned.

"No. It's always been like this."

"…Are you sure?"

"Yes," the man replied, annoyed. "Why would there be a shop in the middle of a wall?"

He walked away.

Aarav's heartbeat started speeding up.

"That's not possible," he whispered.

He turned to another person.

"Excuse me, do you remember a small store here?"

"No."

"What about last month?"

"No."

"Last year?"

"No," the woman said. "You're mistaken."

❗ Panic Rising

Aarav stepped back slowly.

The street felt wrong.

Familiar—

But incomplete.

Like something had been removed.

Something important.

Then suddenly—

A flash.

The girl's voice echoed in his mind.

"The world removes me."

Aarav froze.

"…Not just you," he whispered.

The realization hit him hard.

"If the world can erase you…"

His breathing became uneven.

"…then it can erase anything."

📍 The Proof

He looked around desperately.

Trying to find something—

Anything—

That proved he wasn't imagining it.

Then he saw it.

An old electricity pole.

Covered in posters.

Torn.

Faded.

Messy.

But one of them caught his attention.

A missing poster.

The picture had been scratched out.

Completely erased.

Only the words remained.

MISSING PERSON

Aarav's chest tightened.

"…Who was missing?" he whispered.

He leaned closer.

Even the name—

Was gone.

Just a blank space.

Cold fear crawled up his spine.

"This isn't normal," he said under his breath.

🌒 The Connection

A faint breeze passed through the street.

And suddenly—

The world felt quieter again.

Not completely silent.

But close.

Aarav turned slowly.

Because deep inside—

He already knew what he would see.

She was there.

Standing across the road.

Exactly the same as last night.

Still.

Silent.

Watching him.

"You noticed," she said softly.

Aarav swallowed.

"…The shop disappeared."

She nodded.

"Things that are connected to me… disappear too."

Silence fell between them.

"…How many things?" Aarav asked.

She didn't answer immediately.

Then she said something that made his chest tighten.

"I stopped counting a long time ago."

⚠️ Bigger Truth

Aarav stared at her.

"…So what happens if you completely disappear?"

The girl looked down.

Hands trembling slightly.

Then she whispered—

"The world becomes empty."

Aarav felt his heart drop.

"…That's impossible."

But even as he said it—

He remembered the forest glitch.

The ruined world.

The cracks in reality.

And suddenly—

The impossible didn't sound impossible anymore.
