The Next Day:
Everyone was standing in the centre of a huge stadium.
All the teachers, existing students and the parents of those who were assigned to the tournament.
It was a huge ground, about 2 times of a typical football stadium!
Every viewers were sitting on the seats, waiting for the chaos to start.
Suddenly, a loud voice covered the whole stadium:
"Good morning everyone, myself Albus Griffin, the headmaster of this institute.
And we all know what is going to happen right now!
Yes, you all guessed it right!
Today's the day of the Tournament of Power!
So, let me introduce to our contestants so that we can see them more clearly!
But firstly, we need to talk about the instructors who are going to declare who has been defeated by whom.
Our first instructor is sir Draco Thomson who will give you the details of each and every fights.
Now, coming to our second instructor, our second instructor is sir Charles Thorne, who will announce every single victors and losers!
Now, let us see our contestants!
At first, we will see our mage contestants.
So, as we all know, that yesterday the primary selection was done of the Archmages and Alchemists,
There is not a single alchemy student even though 35 had come!
Also, 10 archmages had come and luckily, we have now 4 of them!
So, that leaves 35 normal mages!
I would like to see the students inside this stadium!
(Two individuals in black uniform went inside a room and brought the 35 contestants in)
So, here are our mage contestants!"
Suddenly, a huge panel appeared out of nowhere which displayed the names of all the mages.
Inside the list, the name of Alexander was at the bottom!
Such humiliating moment.
But, Alex did not think much.
"If the nobles wanted this, then I can do nothing.
However, the placement of name isn't important.
What is important, is to get selected." Alex said to himself.
However, Albus declared the rules.
"So, in this stadium, every student is set free!
Yeah you heard it right!
So basically, this stadium will be come 3 times larger by magic and the ecosystem would be like a dense forest.
There, no one can see anyone, so this tournament is basically a test of reflexes and fast attacks and all that.
However, to make matters worse, the whole dense forest biome would be dark, so you have to constantly use your mana to even walk or rest!
Also, any contestant found hiding for more than even 5 minutes gets disqualified!
Another thing to tell you all,
Contestants can team up with each other to defeat any opponent, but for only one fight!
So if three contestants team up to fight one stronger opponent and suddenly after their victory another opponent runs into them,
Then the three can no longer team up again.
So the contestants can team up for once and after that they turn enemies!
Now, I would like to see the stadium grow big and I want to see the dense dark forest!"
Suddenly, the two individuals who had brought those teenagers started casting one spell.
As soon as they started, the whole sky darkened as the visions of the teenagers faded bit by bit as the stadium grew bigger.
For them, the stadium grew infinitely.
But for the audience, it was just the same, just a black colored dome appeared and covered the whole area, just the stadium and not the audience.
After 15 minutes, the two individuals stopped.
"So, let us start the tournament.
But firstly, I request sir Draco Thomson and sir Charles Thorne to go inside the domain so that it would be easier for our audience to get the news!"
Soon after, those two individuals casted one teleportation spell and got inside the domain like stuff which was inside the black dome like barrier!
Well, let's say that the tournament is difficult for all the teenagers inside.
Suddenly, Albus said, "The Tournament of Power,
....
Starts Now!"
And suddenly, a male voice came from inside the barrier:
"The tournament has begun and all the contestants are now running in any direction they could find the more comfortable.
Right now, no one has came in face to face with anyoooo- Yeah!
Contestant Alexander Count'de Goldstein has met his first opponent as soon as he started walking!
It might be that they started from nearby paces.
The opponent is contestant Cain Thorne!
As soon as they met, Cain Thorne has already started to attack with his wind magic.
But, our Alexander Count'de Goldstein tried to approach him in a friendly manner!
What is happening? Cain Thorne has begun to attack much more faster than before with every step Alexander Count'de Goldstein came nearer and nearer!"
While the man described each and every detail of their sudden meeting.
Cain was violently wasting all his mana to throw out Alex who was standing before him.
Wind Blades!!
Blades of air began to cut through everything it caught in its path.
But right as it was about to hurt Alex,
Alex evaded it with ease.
"Wait wait wait, let us team up and defeat one of the stronger ones!
Listen to me! I have calculated it from the beginning."
"You are just wasting my time, Alexander.
You don't stand a chance against me.
Just get lost!"
The air blades began increasing in number.
From the initial two, it became four,
Then five,
Then six all the way up to eight!
Eight blades arranged vertically, horizontally and diagonally,
Like a web of blades.
Suddenly, Alex rushed and went away, leaving a huge seven meters distance from Cain.
Since Cain had just started in his magic, he could no longer sustain it once it went more that 4.5 meters!
However, Alex said, "Since you are not listening,
I've got no chance to persuade you further."
Water Splash!!
Three blobs of water flew towards Cain.
"This is all you got, Ha!?
Well, what your water do against my mighty blades?"
Wind Blades!!
The blobs and the blades met with each other.
As soon as they met,
Unnaturally, the Blades disappeared and and the blobs came rushing towards the shocked Cain,
Who was caught off guard.
SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH!!
Cain flew away about half a kilometer away!
And since he did not came outside the boundary, it did not count as a defeat.
BUT,
Male voice came out after detailing their fight, "Alex Count'de Goldstein has defeated Cain Thorne!!
This is the first victory of a contestant among this tournament!"
The whole audience roared in entertainment.
The more happier were Theodore, Theodora, Elizabeth and the teacher whom Alex had considered as his mentor!
Apart from them, few seven or eight year students were also happy!
The reason is quite unknown.
Meanwhile,
Aurora Fitzpatrick encountered one boy.
He was about the same age as she was and he was a bit shorter than herself.
"Hey, where you going? Trying to call your allies!
Well, you will not survive to even see their faces."
Helix Blast!!
"We got our second match and the winner is contestant Aurora Fitzpatrick,
Who has defeated contestant Zeff Jefferson!"
This announcement came just as the audience came back to normal after the news of Alex.
Well, the male voice was saying the details of each and every contestant at the same time using some cloning technique like that.
The audience's mind was not messed up with those cumulative news at the same time because in front of them,
There was a device which let them to see everything happening inside.
They can see any contestant's performance as they want.
Now, out of the 35 contestants, only 33 remained.
Suddenly, a loud noise filled the forest.
It was like an explosion.
The caster was unknown, but the one who got defeated was Gilbert!
At once, every companion of Alex was defeated.
Let me tell you the fight of Gilbert:
So, Gilbert was walking for few minutes straight.
He even used his lightning magic to set up traps since Gilbert only knew the trap magic like cages, thorns and all that.
When he was finished,
He thought of putting one bait so that if a contestant comes and gets trapped,
He could simply drag him till the end and throw him and win,
Such plan did not come in handy when one cute looking boy came.
He came as if he was unaware of the traps and all that,
Even though he had seen every single one of them!
Suddenly, he got trapped in a lightning sphere.
Gilbert got happy after seeing him trapped like that.
But then, as soon as Gilbert came near to him,
The sphere broke!!
Gilbert was caught off guard and then,
That boy exploded a huge rock right on Gilbert!
And that's how Gilbert got defeated.
Now, 18 minutes had already passed.
The number of contestants decreased!
What started at 35, now ended at 20!
The rule was:
Once the student count reached ten, the tournament would stop and they all would be selected as a student.
Now, only ten remained if we see from the minimum numbers!
