Riley's POV
His gaze lands on my face and for a split second, something dark flickers in his eyes before they clear completely. I watch his knuckles go white as he grips my doorknob tighter, then slowly forces himself to release it. "Mind if I crash your movie night?" Caleb asks, but his attention stays locked entirely on me.
I haven't had a chance to process everything that's happened recently, but as I scan the room, confusion washes over me. Every face around me is unreadable, their expressions giving nothing away. Then it hits me that all of Caleb's closest friends are gathered in this very room. Guilt twists in my stomach as I realize I've stolen them from him again, just like yesterday.
"Sure, come in," I say, keeping my voice casual. The last thing I want is to turn this into some dramatic production.
