THE SEVEN -- THE PRIMORDIALS

We are not worshipped. We are older than worship. Worship is what happens when something small perceives something large and cannot decide whether to run.

— SORYN, in conversation with VAREK

-----------

The Seven Primordials are not gods. They share the Observer's creation but not its nature. They were born from the shockwave of the universe's first moment, crystallised from the most fundamental forces before those forces had names. They cannot die in any conventional sense -- they are concepts made flesh, and a concept cannot be killed, only forgotten.

Each of them walks the earth. Each has done so since the first civilisations lit their first fires and gave them something to observe. They walk in shapes that make sense to the world they are visiting -- not disguises but genuine expressions of their nature rendered in mortal-readable form. They meet, when there is reason to meet, in the courtyard of the Observer's Tower. These gatherings are not comfortable. The seven have the specific familiarity of siblings who have shared eternity and have never once agreed on anything important.
