THE GATHERING -- WHERE SEVEN BECOMES ONE ARGUMENT

The Tower Courtyard

The seven Primordials meet at the base of the Observer's Tower when something requires collective decision. In the entirety of creation, this has happened twenty-three times. The Twenty-Fourth Gathering is where this story begins.

There is no formal summons. When a gathering is needed, Aevun sends what can only be described as a feeling along the seven chains -- a quality of attention, like a change in air pressure, that each of the others recognises as: we need to be together now. They arrive from the earth one by one, shedding the forms they have been wearing among mortals. They arrange themselves in a circle at the tower's base. The chains hum. The Observer sits above. It does not speak. It listens to them the way it listens to everything: completely, without judgment, without response.
