Chapter 28 - Always Watching

Seo Yoon thought she was alone.

She wasn't.

High above the city, in a quiet, dimly lit room filled with glowing screens, Sang-Hyun stood with his hands behind his back, his gaze fixed forward.

Dozens of monitors flickered before him—each one showing a different angle, a different location, a different moment.

And in almost every one…

Her.

Seo Yoon leaving her Mansion.Seo Yoon entering her company building.Seo Yoon walking through the city with that same calm, untouchable expression.

Every movement recorded.Every pattern observed.

Sang-Hyun didn't miss a single detail.

"She leaves at 7:10," he said calmly. "Not 7:00. Not 7:15. Always 7:10."

An assistant beside him nodded quickly, taking notes.

"She avoids crowded streets unless necessary. Prefers controlled environments. Observes exits before entering."

Another note.

Sang-Hyun's eyes narrowed slightly.

"She's always thinking ahead."

There was no admiration in his tone—only recognition.

Because he was the same.

Days turned into patterns.

Patterns turned into understanding.

Understanding turned into control.

Sang-Hyun didn't just watch Seo Yoon—he studied her. The way she held her posture when she was relaxed versus when she was alert. The slight pause before she answered difficult questions. The way her eyes shifted when something triggered a memory.

To anyone else, these were invisible.

To him… they were everything.

Meanwhile, Seo Yoon paused mid-step one evening.

A strange feeling crept over her.

Like someone was watching.

Her eyes moved subtly, scanning her surroundings. Nothing seemed out of place. Just the usual city noise, people passing by, cars moving.

And yet—

Something felt… off.

She didn't show it.

Instead, she continued walking, her expression calm, her pace unchanged.

But her mind had already shifted into alert mode.

Back in the control room, Sang-Hyun noticed immediately.

"She felt it," he murmured.

A faint smile appeared.

"Interesting."

Most people never noticed.

Most people never even questioned.

But Seo Yoon…

She sensed it.

Sang-Hyun stepped closer to the screen, his gaze locking onto her image.

For the first time, there was something different in his expression.

Not just calculation.

Something sharper.

More focused.

"She's not just observant," he said quietly.

"She's aware."

And that made her even more dangerous.

The screens flickered softly as Seo Yoon disappeared into a building.

But Sang-Hyun didn't look away.

Because even when she was out of sight—

He was still watching.

Still learning.

Still waiting.

And somewhere deep inside, Seo Yoon felt it again.

That quiet, persistent sensation—

Like the game had already begun…

And she didn't even know the rules yet.
