Peter also took the override program from Peni and handed it over to the Ultimate Green Goblin along with the key.
"It's all yours, Norman!"
"Just don't forget our deal."
"I won't. You're part of my multiverse squad, after all."
"Oh? So you've decided you're the captain now?"
Faced with the Ultimate Green Goblin's jab, Peter merely shrugged.
Well, obviously.
He was the natural leader here, wasn't he?
Meanwhile, Sandman had already been burned into glass by the Ultimate Green Goblin's intense flames, then completely blown into powder by two Pumpkin Bombs from New Goblin Harry. As for whether he could come back from that, who knew?
The Ultimate Green Goblin inserted the override program and the key into the proper slots, then worked the controls and reversed everything.
Come on, Norman was a scientist. Something like this was not going to stump him.
[Quantum polarity reversing...]
At once, all the Spider-People leaped to the very top of the ceiling. New Goblin Harry went up there too, and when he saw that whole group of Spider-People gathered together, he got so excited he almost started dancing.
After all, he really had been a Spider-Man fan before.
Furious that his plans had been ruined, Kingpin smashed the glass with a punch and roared like a wild beast.
"All right, now you all need to go! This city has this little Spider-Man now, and with my help, things should not get too bad."
The Ultimate Green Goblin spoke.
"I'm sorry. Peter's death in this world was partly my fault. But I heard he became one of the Living Dead. He'll probably be a dangerous enemy in the future."
"It's okay. I'll find him, and I'll fix all of this."
Miles said firmly.
"Find him and kill him, you mean?"
Peter said half-jokingly.
After the battle just now, he seemed a little less bothered by the kid than before. Only a little less, though. He still found him annoying.
"I'll think of something..."
"Doesn't matter to me. He's not really alive anymore anyway."
Peter shrugged.
"All right, Spider-People, I think I'm heading back first. The Peter in my world will probably need me. So goodbye. And goodbye to my dad in this world too."
New Goblin Harry pulled off his mask and grinned, but before leaving, he still took out his phone and snapped a big group photo.
Of course, the phone came from this world's Norman. Harry had not exactly arrived here with a bunch of electronics on him.
With a wave of his hand, New Goblin Harry jumped into the Quantum Turbulence.
"Then I'm next! I just want to say I love all of you guys, and I think I'm taking this little cube back with me. I still don't really know how to use it, but I'll figure it out."
Spider-Noir pulled out the Rubik's Cube, though the colors on it had been twisted into total chaos, and he still had not managed to solve even one side.
"And Peter, you're the most unusual one out of all of us. I think you've got limitless potential. Just don't lose yourself. That's all."
Spider-Noir struck an impressively cool pose, then dropped into the Quantum Turbulence as well.
"I think I'll miss Aunt May's pie in this world. The lasagna was great too. Miles, say goodbye to this world's Aunt May for me. And also... I still want revenge!"
As Porker was talking, he suddenly pulled out a wooden mallet from nowhere and smashed it into Peter's head. A ridiculous cartoon effect popped up above Peter's head, and by the time he reacted, all he heard was that pig's cackling laugh.
"See you around, pal. Going against you was pretty fun too..."
Watching Porker jump down, then looking at the wooden mallet he had stuffed into his hand at the last second, Peter smiled.
Peni took a deep breath. She looked at all the Spider-People present, poked her head out of the mech, and smiled.
"Even though this whole journey through time and space happened so suddenly, knowing that there are others like me in every universe... that feels really nice."
"Goodbye, everyone."
"And Peter, you're a genius when it comes to science. I won't forget you, so you'd better not forget me either."
Peni looked at Peter with a bright smile as she said that.
"Of course not. My memory is amazing. You know how spider powers work."
Peter smiled slightly and tapped his head.
"Then... goodbye."
Peni let go and allowed herself to fall straight down into the Multiverse Tunnel.
Based on the atoms in her body, the Multiverse Tunnel would automatically send her back to the universe she belonged to.
"Hmm... Miles, what can I say? I think very highly of you. You've got a lot of potential. If I had a kid as impressive as you someday, that would be pretty great."
"Maybe when I get back, I'll think about having a kid with Mary Jane."
The older Spider-Man said with a smile.
"Then congratulations in advance. I'm sure you'll win her back."
Miles replied with a grin.
As the older Spider-Man also entered the Multiverse Tunnel, only three Spider-People and the Ultimate Green Goblin remained at the scene.
The atmosphere became awkward for a moment.
At least, Miles thought so.
"Miles, you're a qualified Spider-Man now. But you're still not there yet. And even though I still have my issues with you, I do sincerely hope you'll find the right person someday. Though maybe that's a bit early for you. You're only sixteen."
"Hey, you're not that much older than me, okay?"
Seeing Peter bring up age again, Miles jokingly shot back.
"Eleven months."
"By the way, Norman, help me look after Gwen in this world afterward."
"Okay."
The Ultimate Green Goblin nodded.
"Goodbye."
Gwen kept it brief. Then she took Peter's hand, and the two of them jumped down together.
Once everyone had returned to their own worlds, Kingpin somehow appeared within the range of the quantum collapse. Fortunately, there were still two people left on site. Norman could continue operating the Quantum Collider, while Miles pulled off his mask and stepped forward to fight Kingpin himself.
Then, with a deafening blast, the Quantum Collider was completely destroyed, and the city seemed to return to peace.
The destruction crisis facing Earth-1610 had been resolved.
But the appearance of the Ultimate Spider-Devourer meant this world was bound to gain a new villain.
Even if that new villain had once been Spider-Man.
Even if he might not have truly evil intentions.
His actions had undeniably brought danger to this universe.
Miles knew that the real battle in this world might only be beginning.
Elsewhere, in Ultimate Gwen's apartment, Gwen, whose body had now fully mutated, stepped out after a shower and looked at the shrinking Quantum Black Hole with mixed emotions.
Then she glanced around at all the Spider-Man merchandise in her apartment and murmured to herself,
"Maybe I should make a suit for myself too..."
