Most of Mei's followers are both women and men. Mostly women. Why? Because Mei was a "hot." Even women who were straight couldn't help but experience a bit of a sexuality crisis because of her.
The reason? Her figure. Everything about her. She was cool, confident, and really pretty. It made some women see her as a hottie—and she already was.
Not in the same way as someone like Bella Hadid, but more like a woman who also has a masculine edge to her.
Because of that, Mei has numerous fan accounts—and even fan websites.
Jenna is one of the moderators of a very popular Instagram page dedicated to Mei. And a few days ago, she was already panicking.
"Why?"
Mei—the woman with over 5.2 million followers who rose to fame just a year ago—had followed someone on Instagram. Not only that, but across all her social media accounts, she followed the same person.
And that person was the only one she followed!
Of course, her fans started panicking.
Even though it wasn't obvious at first, word spreads quickly online. Some fans already began speculating that Mei might be swinging the other way.
But Jenna knew better.
She had a few friends who were models, and from what she heard—Mei actually preferred women. Not men. So this wasn't just some random follow.
They could be dating.
And many fans started speculating the same thing.

Everyone was at their wits' end. They needed to find out if Mei was dating this woman.
Meanwhile, while some fans were busy speculating, other music enthusiasts, and male fans of Mei—checked out the song itself.

- Wow… this is actually good.
@ronald replied to @baster1982
- I agree. I like the music.
Sheryl started gaining fans here and there.
...
I was preparing for filming. We were about to shoot the music video, and I was dressed in something… sexy—but it suited me well.
I had been checking the comments, and they were mostly positive. Most of the male fans left compliments. Of course, there were also some nasty comments, but I didn't pay them much attention.
After makeup, I began filming.
We were following a similar concept to "God Is a Woman" by Ariana Grande. A bold, symbolic style.
Filming didn't take too long. After about 10 hours, we were done. All that was left was editing and adding post-production effects.
For a short MV, the process was relatively quick.
It's been two days since the song was released, and the reaction has been really good.

The music was doing well—and I was proud of that.
However… I have received a lot of casting calls recently.
That said, I had been neglecting Mei a bit. I knew I needed to take a break, but I received an offer from a Paris fashion show—and it was too good to turn down.
Also, aside from filming, I've still been working on music as Sheryl.
So I decided to take some time off.
I had already given Samuel a song I'd been working on. We exchanged contacts, and he was already working on the next one—something that had been greenlit by Pepper and Reynaldo.
I got ready at my apartment and switched into Mei. I called Pepper.
"You're going to accept the fashion show? That's amazing… but if you need to rest, you can. I don't want to pressure you or anything."
"I'm fine, Pep. Accept the deal, I'll manage." I smiled while making dinner.
Afterward, I switched back into Philip and began eating quietly.
Enrollment starts from July to mid-August, so I still had time.
While eating, I checked Mei's Instagram.
Over 99 unread messages.
I opened them.
Some were from models I had hooked up with. Why were they suddenly so invested in my life?
Then I checked fan pages.
"What the hell?"
Posts were spreading rumors that Mei and Sheryl were dating.
How did this even start?
I sighed. My fans must be going crazy.
To calm things down, I followed Pepper and Reynaldo on Instagram. Come on, people. Why are they making up that I have a girlfriend?
I hoped the rumors would die down.
But they didn't.
The next day, another fan page posted something else.
At that point, I knew I had to do something.
I was currently getting my makeup done. I had a shoot to attend.
I took a picture of myself and posted it.
Then I checked the reactions.
I even added a caption, that literally say I'm not dating anyone. I put down my phone.
"Why is everyone saying I'm dating someone?"
"Oh?" The makeup artist, Laura, smiled. "You aren't?"
"Nope. That's why I'm surprised people are saying I'm dating Sheryl."
The woman's eyelids flickered slightly as she processed that.
"Well, if I ever did date someone," I continued, "I'd probably flood my feed with pictures of us."
Laura chuckled. "So you're secretly a lover girl, huh?"
"Wanna find out?"
Her cheeks flushed. She placed her hands lightly on my shoulders, her tone turning playful. "I think I do."
