Lynn pondered.
"How strong does it need to be?"
At this moment, Professor Fawkes hadn't finished Lynn's butterbeer when he waved for the waiter to bring two more glasses.
He placed the three butterbeers side by side.
"Your original intention was to have multiple wizards use spells simultaneously, with one main force guiding and coordinating them, ensuring the spell could be cast instantly while maximizing its effect.
Frankly, it's a brilliant idea, but while it's feasible, the conditions for achieving it are extremely demanding. For example, these three glasses are the three spellcasting entities you imagined in your letter, and the butterbeers inside are the released Soul-Sealing Spells.
If we choose one as the main force, we'll choose the middle one. The main force is crucial; the magic of the other two entities must be guided and coordinated by him.
This means that besides mastering his own magic, he also needs to be able to control the magic of the other two entities, like pouring these two butterbeers into this one glass at the same time."
Professor Fawkes demonstrated to Lynn.
"Look, because the main force's capacity is insufficient, the butterbeer overflows from the glass. If we consider the glass as a wizard, can you imagine that scene?"
Lynn frowned, staring at the overflowing butterbeer.
"The wizard will be burst by the excess power?"
Professor Fawkes waved his hand.
"It's not that exaggerated. A wizard's body isn't sealed.
The result is simply that the excess power dissipates. Ultimately, the spell's effect is only slightly stronger than the spell used by the main force itself. It doesn't produce the exponential amplification effect you imagined in your letter."
Lynn looked at the three glasses of butterbeer.
"Then what exactly are the requirements for the main force wizard? Is it magic power?"
Professor Fawkes shook his head.
"Not magic power, but the wizard's physical attributes."
"Professor, what did you say?"
Lynn was stunned. He even called Professor Fawkes by his original form of address.
Professor Fawkes was somewhat surprised by Lynn's overreaction.
"The capacity of the glass represents the wizard's physical attributes."
"But this… this isn't magic at all!"
Professor Fawkes looked at him blankly.
"How is this not magic? Didn't you notice? When you use magic frequently, your body feels weak, and you can only continue casting after resting. This is because your body can't take it and needs relief."
Lynn thought back for a moment, and it was indeed as Professor Fawkes said. He had no limit on the number of times he could use magic. Before his physique points increased, practicing magic too much would indeed be tiring, but after he became a troll in human skin, there was no limit to the number of times he could use magic. He was
like a tireless casting machine.
But, shouldn't the blue bar in a normal wizard's character design represent mental energy? How come it's become physical energy here?
You're a wizard, not a warrior!
Lynn was merely surprised, because physical attributes were not a problem for him at all.
"So, as long as the main character's physical attributes are sufficient, this modification of the Soul-Sealing Spell will succeed?" Lynn asked expectantly, hoping to hear a positive answer from Professor Fawkes.
Professor Fawkes pondered for a moment.
"The requirements are very high. For example, if three adult wizards were to use this modified version of the Soul-Sealing Spell, then the main character's physical attributes would need to be at least Hagrid's level, but Hagrid, due to his special characteristics, cannot be the main character."
"Why?"
Professor Fawkes didn't elaborate.
"That concerns someone else's privacy, so I can't tell you the specific reasons. The requirements for the main character are too demanding. Besides extremely high physical attributes, they also need a high amount of magical power. I've never seen a wizard who possesses both in all my years of life."
Lynn's eyes lit up, his lips curling into a smile; he was practically slamming his fist on the table, exclaiming, "How come I've never seen one? Aren't I one? "
"His physique is 6 points and his magic power is 9 points, both far exceeding those of a normal wizard. Isn't this kind of main force designed specifically for him?"
he said confidently.
"Any other requirements? Mr. Edward, please state them all at once."
Professor Fawkes was deep in thought and didn't pay much attention to Lynn's unusual behavior.
"Anything else? There's also the requirement that all wizards involved in improving the Soul Seal Charm must be proficient in the spell, and their movements must be synchronized and their coordination perfect, without any mistakes. Hmm, basically all the requirements are these,"
he said with a smile.
"Your idea for improving this spell is excellent, and it's applicable to other spells as well. However, achieving the theoretical maximum increase in strength is still too difficult. But even if your physical attributes and magical abilities aren't up to par, and you've wasted most of your power, the spell itself is still significantly enhanced. With your current level of magical ability, the Impaler's Spell used by the three junior wizards together should be enough to control Peeves."
Professor Fawkes had always thought Lynn's magical ability was still at the level of a first-year student, unable to even fully utilize the effect of Divine Strike. He never imagined that in just six months it would have tripled.
Now, he alone could use the Impaler's Spell to completely control Peeves.
Lynn and Professor Fawkes talked at the Hog's Head until nearly 11 pm, perfecting the Impaler's Spell during their conversation before ending their meeting.
Professor Fawkes was staying at the Hog's Head tonight, while Lynn had to rush back to the castle; he had classes tomorrow.
Lynn arrived at Honeydukes just before it closed, retrieved the candy he had deposited, and then returned to Hogwarts through the secret passage of the Shrieking Shack.
He was lucky today; Filch should already be asleep, and he easily made it back to his dormitory.
After washing up, Lynn lay in bed unable to sleep, his mind filled with his plan to improve the Imperius Curse.
He lay there blankly for half an hour, then got out of bed, took out the various candies he had bought that day, and began distributing them.
Hermione, Cedric, and Ian each received a portion.
