"So… my job is to supervise the curse users on the second underground level?"
At the entrance of the first level of the vault, Naobito spoke up.
Mirai replied calmly, "Just in case."
"Once I'm done here, I'll return to Jujutsu High. If something happens on this side, Zen'in Ju alone might not be able to keep things under control."
Hearing this, Naobito frowned and asked, "Then if they cause trouble, how should it be handled?"
Judging by the attitudes of those two curse users, they had clearly already been dealt with by Mirai.
But they weren't dead, and their bodies still seemed mostly intact.
Naobito couldn't quite grasp how Mirai handled matters afterward.
"If it's just minor tantrums, beat them up—that's enough."
"But if they show any intention of escaping…"
A faint killing intent flashed in Mirai's eyes. "Aside from the sorcerer in the room opposite Juzo, kill the rest."
White Zetsu added with a grin, "Old man, don't smash up that blond kid's corpse."
Naobito nodded, his curiosity piqued toward the sorcerer in the room opposite the cursed tool user.
"What about me?" White Zetsu pointed at himself with a grin. "Can I go back to Jujutsu High now?"
On the way up, Mirai had already explained everything that happened while White Zetsu was unconscious.
"Just attend school as usual. Once Juzo finishes the cursed tools, I'll have someone deliver them."
Mirai spoke indifferently.
A hint of surprise flashed across White Zetsu's face. "Didn't you say Shoko and the others already noticed the issue with the corpse?"
"If I just walk back in perfectly fine, won't that woman drag me back to the infirmary and dissect me again?"
Mirai remained expressionless. "A certain level of monitoring is unavoidable, but they won't act directly."
"At least until they have evidence that you've harmed humans, you don't need to worry about your safety at Jujutsu High."
White Zetsu looked skeptical. "Is that so?"
"I feel like Jujutsu High's attitude toward cursed spirits… isn't as friendly as you make it sound."
Mirai glanced at him coldly. "Ants are still ants."
"Even ants that can talk will at most pique their interest—not their fear."
"As long as you maintain your harmless, chuuni persona, you—a mere Grade Four cursed spirit…"
"With only that level of strength, the higher-ups won't rashly turn hostile."
Naobito nodded in agreement. "Mirai is right."
"Given the current situation, even Panda—created by Yaga and capable of independently generating cursed energy—is more interesting than you."
"Over the years, Gojo Satoru has used his overwhelming strength to protect quite a few sorcerers from the higher-ups."
"And right now, standing behind you… is one of the Three Great Families—the Zen'in clan."
White Zetsu nodded thoughtfully. "Then what about the corpse? If they ask, what should I say?"
"Just say it's the body of a Zen'in sorcerer who died from excessive training."
Mirai replied coldly, "As for 'legitimate' reasons for corpses—there are as many as you want."
"In the end, whether it's Jujutsu High or the world itself…"
"These so-called laws and rules only ever bind the weak."
"Alright then. I'll head back to Jujutsu High with you tomorrow."
White Zetsu grinned.
Mirai shook his head. "Tomorrow, go with Zen'in Ju. I'll stay here for now."
White Zetsu froze, about to ask something—
But when he met Mirai's ever-open crimson eyes, he suddenly seemed to recall something. He grinned, the cuts at the corners of his mouth splitting further, traces of blood seeping out.
Early the next morning, Zen'in Ju set out for Jujutsu High with White Zetsu.
After all, a Grade Four cursed spirit wandering alone might end up dead in some corner at any moment.
Naobito packed his belongings and a large amount of food, moving into the second underground level of the vault.
On that same day, Mirai dispatched nearly all Zen'in clan sorcerers to different regions to carry out missions capturing cursed spirits.
At the entrance of the first underground level, a pavilion constructed overnight by the Zen'in clan stood.
On the stone table were two cups of hot tea and piles of intelligence documents.
At Mirai's suggestion, the stone stools had been replaced with soft, comfortable sofas.
More jarring still…
Was the coffin standing upright behind him.
A coffin containing a corpse.
Mirai took a sip of tea and murmured to himself, "I agreed to your request…"
"I assume you won't mind me using your body as bait."
Inside the coffin—Geto Suguru: "..."
Mirai's target had always been Geto—but only his corpse.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have deliberately waited for Inumaki and Maki to appear before acting that day, nor would he have left behind obvious traces of cursed energy.
The news that he personally killed Geto had already spread through Jujutsu High.
Surely… that person had received the information by now.
Jujutsu High – School Gate
Maki, Inumaki, Yuta, and Panda walked side by side, unusually quiet.
The events of the previous day lingered in their minds, each holding their own thoughts.
The stench in the infirmary…
The body that resembled dismembered remains…
Shoko hadn't said anything—but no one was blind.
And Panda had received a special order from his father, Yaga, the night before.
"Minna~"
"Konnichiwa~"
A familiar voice came from behind them.
They turned—
And there was White Zetsu, wearing that same infuriating grin as always.
Maki was the first to snap out of it. Ignoring the one-armed sorcerer beside him, she stepped forward and drove a punch straight into White Zetsu's chest.
White Zetsu staggered, about to curse—
But then he heard the slight concern in Maki's voice.
"You idiot… you okay?"
White Zetsu broke into a clown-like grin, pulling aside his black robe to show his pale muscles.
"Uncle's doing just fine. Don't worry."
Hearing this, Yuta and the others—who had been about to step forward—stopped in unison.
Sure enough—
With an angry shout, White Zetsu was suddenly kicked several meters into the air.
Third Floor, Teaching Building
Gojo Satoru, Yaga, Shoko, and Mei Mei stood in the corridor, watching the students below.
Each had their own thoughts.
Gojo lifted a corner of his blindfold, his azure eyes observing more carefully than before.
"Now this is interesting."
He curled his lips into a smile. "Without the Six Eyes, it'd be hard to tell the difference."
"The cursed energy is completely identical. The body is nearly the same."
"Height decreased by 0.7 centimeters compared to yesterday. Left shoulder lowered by 0.3."
"The bones in the thighs and calves are also slightly more pronounced."
"Without special methods, most sorcerers wouldn't notice such subtle differences."
Shoko kept her hands in her coat pockets, her expression cold as she looked down at White Zetsu.
"So… this is another new corpse, isn't it…"
Mei Mei paid no attention to their conversation.
Her gaze remained fixed on the box carried by the one-armed sorcerer, her eyes filled with anticipation.
Aside from the mission reward…
Would there be an additional bonus?
That was the only thing she cared about.
