Thankfully, for all the weird shit Barry had seen throughout his years in S.T.A.R.S this disgusting looking thing didn't really faze him.
It was fast, but Barry saw its claws aiming for Tajima's head.
"Move!" Barry shouted as he tackled Tajima to the ground.
The Licker dove past them before quickly turning around and jumping on the two of them again. The Lickers claws slammed down on Barry's bulletproof vest continuously as shots were fired from the side.
Rika had unloaded her clip into the exposed brain of the clicker. 12 bullets were enough to make the clicker stagger backwards.
Tajima had used this time to yank up Barry to his feet while Rika reloaded her pistol. They all took aim and fired their weapons simultaneously at the licker's exposed brain.
Blood sprayed everywhere as the lickers exposed brain was torn through with bullets before dropping motionlessly to the floor. The bullets didn't end there as they shot out and dropped the remaining lab coated zombies.
Peace and quite was brought back to the room as they circled around the licker.
"What the hell was that thing?" Barry said.
Tajima stared at it before turning his gaze towards Barry. "Thanks for pushing me out of the way," Tajima said. "If not...I wouldn't be here right now."
Barry just gave Tajima a simple nod as Rika walked up to them.
"I found this note on a corpse inside one of the storage rooms," Rikka said as she handed the note to Barry.
Both Barry and Tajima took a second reading before Tajima realised he had no clue what the note said, as it was written in English. Thankfully for him, Rika was kind enough to translate.
"Licker? So that's what that thing was?" Tajima asked.
Barry studied the note for a moment longer. They're as blind as bats, but their hearing more than makes up for that. This sentence on the note caught his attention the most. It basically meant that if they encountered another one of these things, all they had to do was make sure that they were quiet.
Barry pointed this sentence out to both Rika and Tajima.
"If we're ever in any position where we are separated or for some reason you're alone and encounter one of these things. Make sure to be quiet and avoid making noise," Barry said to both of them.
They both nodded as Barry moved forward towards one of the doors.
"Let's keep going," Barry said as Rika and Tajima followed.
After stepping through the door, another long white hallway appeared. They walked down the hallway until they spotted another door with a large red A painted on the side.
They stood infront of the door before Barry spoke to them. "We clear out this room as quietly as possible. Only use your guns if absolutely necessary."
Barry didn't wait for their response as he opened and moved through the door. Rika and Tajima moved in after him.
They moved in as one and stood there ground. Watching for anything to try and jump at them. After nothing attacked them, they finally relaxed.
They still didn't let their guards down as they moved further into the room and cleared everything out.
There was no danger inside this room except for one zombie Tajima found facedown on the white floor. Tajima walked towards it before pulling out his combat knife and driving it through the corpse's head.
While Tajima was doing that, Rika's voice came from the side.
"Guys, I found something important."
Both Barry and Tajima rushed to her side. Rika was standing near a wall mounted consel, holding a folded paper in her hand.
Barry and Tajima watched as Rika unfolded the large paper.
Barry's eyes sharpened at what he saw. It was a full schematic layout of the facility. A map with multiple sections labeled in a different color.
White, Orange, and Red.
Those were the three colors used to label sections.
Barry took a closer look at the map before his finger pointed to a certain room. Entry Point Wing A.
"This has to be the room we're in now," he said. The big red colored A outside the door should be enough to figure that out."
Tajima took a deep breath before looking at the map again. "So this is just the front door?" Tajima said.
Barry's finger continued to move across the map, further down to the orange colored zone.
Rika looked to the side of the map that contained the information for each colored zone.
She leaned in closer before muttering "Research" to herself.
Barry nodded at her words.
"That must be where they thought of that 'Licker," Barry said. "That's definitely one of our goals. We have to reach that section and figure out what they've been researching."
Barry's finger went even further down towards the Red colored zone called Containment Wing.
They didn't need an explanation, they all automatically knew whatever was down there was dangerous. If they were encountering things like Lickers here, then what kinda other things were deeper down in the facility?
Rika looked up at them.
"So Orange first, then Red?" she asked.
"Red? Why the hell should we go down there?" Tajima responded.
"Of course, we're going to Red," Barry spoke. "Well...That's if were alive long enough to make it down there."
"Alright then, let's go!" Barry said enthusiastically as he walked forward.
Tajima's head hung low at Barry's words before a hand touched his shoulder.
Looking up, he saw Rika's beautiful face.
She nodded at him before she followed Barry.
Tajima let out a breath before straightening his posture and following behind Rika further into the facility.

Rikas Home
Noise echoed throughout the crowded streets.
Multiple heads turned at the noise of a motorcycle driving through the crowded street.
A loud *bang was heard as Kohta shot a bullet, and a nearby zombie dropped mid-lunge, collapsing just short of a small girl trapped behind a yard fence.
Beside him, Ryuji stood with a rifle in his hands. "You still haven't taught me anything," Ryuji said to Kohta.
"There's no time for that," Kohta said. "Just aim down the sight and make sure the little girl doesn't get killed."
Outside in the streets, Ren and Takashi rode on the back of a motorcycle that they found when they first arrived at the house.
The motorcycle cut through the chaos at full speed, weaving between abandoned cars and the dead.
A gap opened in the crowd ahead, just wide enough for them to slide through.
Two zombies stepped into the path at the last second. Ren didn't hesitate as he ran them over.
They slid into the yard entrance while bones cracked and bodys folded under the impact of the bike.
Hopping off the bike, Ren stepped towards the little girl hiding in the corner. He stopped a few feet away from the girl as he looked down. A small white puppy was barking at him, daring him not to approach the little girl.
Ren glanced behind his shoulder as Takashi was holding off the zombies who were getting through the entrance. While at the same time, shots were being fired from the balcony where Kohta and Ryuji were.
He had no time to mess around. Ren stepped forward, picked up the little girl, and hung her over his shoulder. He grabbed the small dog in his right hand before it bit him.
Ren didn't feel anything from the small bite before tossing the little dog to Takashi.
"Seriously?" Takashi shouted.
Before Ren could respond, an inhuman shriek echoed through the street.
"I think that's our cue to get out of here," Ren said.
Takashi nodded at him before his expression turned sour.
"Look out!" Takashi roared out.
Ren ducked with the little girl on his shoulder as she let out a small scream. A runner covered in multiple parts of its body lunged at him.
Ren quickly stood and raised his Desert Eagle to the back of the runners head.
A loud sound echoed through the chaotic street as the bullet tore through the skull of the runner.
Its body dropped forward mid motion and hit the ground hard, twitching once before going still at Rens feet.
The little girl on his shoulders covered her ears from the loud noise the gun produced.
Ren lowered her into his left arm and held her in that position before he sat down on the motorcycle.
"Hey, what's your name?" Ren asked.
Ren could barely hear her quiet voice throughout all the noise.
"A-Alice," she muttered.
"Nice to meet you, Alice. My name's Ren."
Takashi sat behind Ren and held on to his shoulders with the pup in his hand as Ren popped an unnecessary wheelie before riding through the entrance, back out into the street.
"You're safe now, Alice," Rens voice cut through the swarm of zombies.
"You'll be my little version of Sherry."

End of Chapter 16
Here's a chapter that I wrote while I had the time.
My bad if the chapter seems a bit lackluster.
I'm still planning to continue the story. Chapters will not be continuous, but I'll write chapters when I have the time and upload them when I'm done.
Let me know in the comments what other type of zombies you'd like to see in the story. Tell me the game or movie/show.
-Bye
