Sairis's POV
"It was easier to simply walk away, Lore," Sairis muttered.
He looked at his hands in his lap. "How do I explain to my lady that I was carrying her future husband's child. How do I stand in front of a court and tell them that a male omega is carrying the child of their future king."
He shook his head. "There was no version of that conversation that ended well for anyone. For you." He muttered.
Loreen sighed. "I had already been handling things," he said. "And I would have loved it if you had trusted me enough to let me protect you too. That is all I am saying."
Sairis released a shaky breath.
Loreen sighed. "You did not have to carry this alone. You chose to and I need you to understand that it was a choice, not a necessity."
