"The royal physician can speak to its effectiveness himself," Greta continued, glancing briefly at Ardent. "He also imports from the same source. It is quite the reliable supplier."
Ardent nodded. "The teas from that region are some of the finest I have come across," he said pleasantly.
"Good for the nerves, good for sleep, good for the stomach. I have recommended them to several people in this palace over the years. The quality has never disappointed."
Sairis looked at Ardent. Then he looked at Greta. Then he looked at the space between them while the rest of the conversation in the room became something distant and low, like sound heard through a thick wall.
He had been looking for whoever had placed the order for Moonveil Root in the palace around the time of the late queen's death.
