Loreen's POV
Sairis let out another breath, his shoulders dropping as he looked away, anywhere but at Loreen.
Loreen watched them both, his brow arching slightly. There was something here. Something shared. Something he was not being told.
But this was not the time. Not with everything else going on. He would ask later.
Edgar dragged a hand through his hair, his tone losing its teasing edge. "I do hope you know what you are doing." He muttered.
Sairis shook his head. "It is not what you think," he said. "It is more than that."
Edgar let out a short laugh. "Wow, Sairis. It must be very complicated if you still cannot see it."
"There is nothing to see," Sairis murmured, his voice low but firm.
Edgar shook his head slightly. "That is exactly what I mean," he said. "You are standing in the middle of it and still pretending it is not there."
Sairis frowned. "I am not pretending. There is nothing happening." He said.
