đ 12:20 AM â Apartment Hallway
Su Yan slowly walks down the hallway after Lei Jun closes the door.
She whispers weakly,
"Maybe⊠I should go to the hospitalâŠ"
Her vision becomes blurry.
She tries to hold the wall.
Suddenlyâ
THUD.
Su Yan collapses in the hallway.
đȘ Inside Lei Jun's apartment
Lei Jun is drinking water, trying to ignore what happened.
He mutters,
"I already told her to go to the hospitalâŠ"
But something feels wrong.
The hallway is too quiet.
He frowns.
"âŠDid she actually leave?"
He opens the door.
đš Shock moment
Su Yan is lying on the floor outside.
Lei Jun's eyes widen.
"Su Yan!"
He immediately runs to her and checks her pulse.
Her fever is very high.
He quickly picks her up.
"Idiot⊠why didn't you tell me it was this serious?"
đ Final scene (cliffhanger)
Lei Jun carries her to his car.
Rain starts falling.
He drives fast toward the hospital.
Inside the car he says quietly,
"Don't fall asleep, Su Yan."
Su Yan weakly whispers,
"âŠLei JunâŠ"
And then closes her eyes.
đ Morning â City Hospital
Su Yan slowly opens her eyes.
Everything around her is white.
"âŠHospital?"
She tries to sit up.
Just then the door opens.
Lei Jun walks in wearing his doctor coat.
Su Yan looks surprised.
"You⊠brought me here?"
Lei Jun replies calmly,
"You collapsed. Your fever was 40°C."
Su Yan feels embarrassed.
"Sorry for troubling youâŠ"
Before Lei Jun can answerâ
The door suddenly opens again.
A beautiful female doctor enters confidently.
She stops when she sees Su Yan in the bed.
Her eyes narrow slightly.
"Lei Jun⊠who is she?"
Lei Jun answers simply:
"My neighbor."
The woman crosses her arms.
"I've never seen you bring a patient here personally."
She looks at Su Yan with a small smile.
"I'm Dr. Lin Mei."
Then she looks back at Lei Jun.
"And I'm his colleague."
But her tone clearly says something else.
Su Yan suddenly feels awkward.
For some reasonâŠ
Dr. Lin Mei's gaze feels like a challenge.
Lei JunâŠ" she said with a soft smile.
"Who is she?"
"My neighbor," he replied without hesitation.
But Lin Mei's gaze lingered on Su Yan longer than necessary.
As if silently asking a question no one dared to say out loud.
