The campus was full of noise, laughter, and new beginnings.
Swati stood at the college gate, holding her bag tightly. Her eyes moved through the crowd again and again, as if searching for someone she had lost long ago.
"Will he come…?" she whispered softly.
Years ago, in kindergarten, she lost her best friend. There was no goodbye, no last meeting—just memories that stayed in her heart.

A small smile appeared on her face as she remembered—
A little boy sharing his lunch with her.
Holding her hand on the first day of school.
Saying, "I'll always be your best friend."
But life had separated them.
"Swati!"
A voice broke her thoughts.
She turned and saw Aditi and Priyanka running toward her.
"Finally, college life!" Aditi said excitedly.
Priyanka smiled, "New beginnings."
Swati smiled back, but somewhere deep inside, she still felt something missing.

A boy walked through the college gate.

"You came here for a reason… someone is waiting."
He frowned slightly and ignored the feeling, walking ahead without looking back.
