Chapter 123: Meeting Yuki Snow Again, Heading to the 51st Floor!
...
"I... I..."
Old Twenty-Eight was so moved he was speechless. Is this... true trust? Ahh~~ the feeling of being trusted by the Great God Sei is simply divine! Old Twenty-Eight lost himself in a deep state of intoxication.
Watching him, Seito's eyelid twitched. He felt a wave of secondhand embarrassment wash over him. Setting everything else aside, that IGN "Old Twenty-Eight" alone sounded like someone who wasn't exactly... "wholesome." But, the man's efficiency was undeniable.
"Guild Leader! I guarantee the mission will be completed!" Old Twenty-Eight shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Good," Seito nodded. He then scanned the rest of the guild members. "Comrades! Your next task is a heavy one. I want you to plunge the entire 30th floor into chaos! The messier, the better. Whether it's civilian lords or the common folk, make them all realize the poison that is the nobility."
As he finished speaking, Seito posted a message to the World Chat:
[Sei: Drive up the prices of all commodities on the 30th floor! Hike them as high as they can go!]
Seeing the message, the guild members understood his intent instantly.
"Don't worry, Boss! Mission accepted!"
"Exactly! These nobles have been sucking the people's blood for long enough! It's time for an uprising!"
"Davai, Tovarishch! Let's fight together!"
Seito nodded in satisfaction. This is it. With guild members who caught his drift this quickly, why would he ever worry about his grand ambitions failing? He looked up at the digital sky.
The group moved into action immediately. Seito and the other Executives teleported back to the Snezhnaya Territory. The remaining players watched the Fatui depart and looked at one another.
"What do we do now?" one player asked, confused.
"Isn't it obvious?! We follow Great leader Sei's lead! Throw the 30th floor into chaos! Don't you guys want to level up?" another shouted.
The players froze. That... actually makes a lot of sense! If a massive war broke out on the 30th floor and they followed Seito, they could level up at lightning speed. And once the players from other countries arrived... Hehehe. Imagining the chaos, several people burst into mischievous laughter.
Nearby, the members of the Round Moon Guild turned to Kaguya Shinomiya.
"Kaguya-chan, are we going too?" Asuna couldn't help but ask.
"Of course!" Kaguya replied seriously. "We have no reason to pass up such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!"
Who would want to stay behind when there was fast leveling to be had? Moreover, if the empire Seito was building grew strong, they would finally have a true player-run main city! Helping him was a necessity.
"Notify our guild members. Have them head to the other empires on the 30th floor and turn this place upside down!" As soon as she spoke, her officers began sending out mass messages.
Snezhnaya Territory, Lord's Mansion.
Seito sat in the main hall. Aside from Haruno and Mrs. Minami, all the other Executives had gathered.
"I'll outline the plan for tonight. First, I'm going to see the Queen of the Snow Maidens. I want their tribe to move here to bolster our combat strength. After that, all of you are coming with me to the 51st floor!"
The mention of the 51st floor made everyone pause. The Sora-Shiro siblings were the first to react. "You're planning to power-level there?" Sora asked.
"No," Seito shook his head. "Leveling is secondary. There's still much about the 51st floor that we don't know, so I plan to scout the situation."
Cang Feiyun's mission involved ancient ruins. He couldn't let the pursuit of levels distract him from the core of the quest. On that floor, anything related to the power of the Gods was what Seito truly wanted to explore. The others remained silent; they didn't disagree. After all, the sheer power of the Gods was already perfectly demonstrated by Seito himself.
"Alright, wait here. I'm going to find the Snow Queen." With that, Seito teleported away.
God's Domain, 17th Floor.
Seito reappeared in what was also known as the "Far North" of the 17th floor. It was a strange coincidence that the 17th and 30th floors shared the name, leading Seito into a brief moment of speculation before he headed toward Mia Snow's residence. Along the way, he passed many Level 20-ish players—newcomers who had missed the first two big events.
He reached the entrance of Mia snow's home and stopped.
"Elder!" The Snow Maiden guards bowed respectfully. This was the benefit of his status.
"No need for formalities. I'm here to see the Queen." The guards stepped aside, and Seito knocked on the door.
Bang, bang, bang—
"Come in!"
To Seito's surprise, the voice from inside wasn't Mia Snow now's mature tone, but a soft, wobbly loli voice. Puzzled, he opened the door and walked in.
He was met with the sight of a tiny loli staring at him timidly. Her large eyes were filled with a touch of innocence. This was the Princess of the Snow Maiden tribe—Yuki snow!
"Bi... Big Brother..." she called out shyly.
"Oh, it's Princess Yuki." Seito walked toward her. "Where is your mother?"
Seeing him approach, Yuki flinched and looked utterly pitiful, clearly very shy around strangers.
"This..." Seito scratched his head awkwardly.
"Guest Elder, Yuki is a bit shy now. She wasn't like this before." Mia Snow's voice drifted over. Seito turned to see her emerging from a side room, moving with effortless grace. She stopped before the little princess. "Yuki, this is the Big Brother who saved you."
"Big Brother??" At those words, Yuki's eyes lit up. This was her hero? Whoa! He's so handsome! The shy little loli instantly transformed into a tiny fangirl.
