Chapter 119: Yukino Yukinoshita: Why is There Noise Coming from Sister's Room?

...

Some time later.

Yukino Yukinoshita returned home from school. As she entered the living room, she immediately heard strange noises drifting from Haruno's bedroom. She listened closely for a moment...

"This..."

Yukino's face instantly flushed a deep crimson. Why did it sound like someone was playing a very intense game of "cards" in her sister's room? What on earth was going on? She scrambled back to her own room as fast as her legs could carry her.

Two hours later...

Standing at the door to Haruno's room, Seito looked back at the exhausted Haruno lying on the bed. "Remember to log into the game in a bit," he said.

Haruno gave a tired "OK" sign with her hand. Seito turned to leave, but as he reached the front door, he sensed a gaze. He glanced toward Yukino's room and saw her peeking through a crack in the door, watching him with an incredibly resentful and smoldering look.

Seito was momentarily baffled. Then, a thought struck him, and his lips curled into a smirk. He opened the front door and returned to his own home.

At Home.

By now, Kanade Tachibana and Amou Kirukiru had already woken up. Seito headed to the kitchen to reheat some food—specifically, the chicken soup from that afternoon.

"What's the plan for today?" Kirukiru asked.

"We're going to seize several territories in the Far North," Seito replied. Floor 30 had plenty of small empires and fiefdoms. His strategy was simple: secure the surrounding areas first, build up resources, and then declare himself King. At that point, "My fate shall be determined by me, not by Heaven!" He intended to build a massive empire. Kirukiru nodded in agreement.

Kanade turned to Seito. "Seito-kun, thank you for taking care of me today~"

"No need for thanks." Seito patted her head. Since she was one of "his" people, there was no need for such formalities. He felt Kanade was being a bit too polite.

Five minutes later, after finishing their meal, the three of them returned to their rooms and logged into the game.

God's Domain, Floor 30.

Snezhnaya Territory.

Seito entered the game and teleported to his newly acquired territory. Upon arrival, he checked the panel. The atmosphere in the fiefdom was remarkably vibrant. The commoners were no longer listless; they clearly had something to believe in now. This newfound faith made their will to survive even stronger.

Furthermore, Seito checked the current troop count. Over 50,000! This recruitment drive had brought in nearly 50,000 new recruits!

Extremely satisfied with the current state of affairs, Seito left the Lord's Mansion and headed to the training grounds. He watched the bustling activity for a moment before walking forward.

"Leader!"

Captain Green spotted Seito, his eyes lighting up as he rushed over.

"Hello, Comrade Green," Seito nodded.

"How are the recruits looking?"

Green thought for a moment. "Leader, their physical condition is quite good. I plan to drill them on military discipline for a week, then take them out to hunt some monsters to build their courage. I believe it won't be long before they're ready for war!"

Seito was very pleased. These were the foundations of his future empire. By the Mandate of Heaven, may he have longevity and eternal prosperity. As a Dragon Country native, he simply couldn't resist the allure of those words.

"Work hard. We'll be heading out to battle soon."

"Yes, sir!"

After the briefing, Seito wandered through the territory. Many guild players had gathered, discussing whether Seito was about to launch an attack on neighboring lands. In the crowd, he spotted Haruno Yukinoshita walking toward him.

"SunnyCat, do you want me to find an Executive skilled in management to help lighten your load?"

Haruno was currently managing the guild, the finances, and now the territory. It certainly wasn't an easy job.

"Really? That would be wonderful," Haruno smiled. she wasn't about to turn down the help, especially since it showed Seito cared about her well-being.

Seito pondered for a moment. Who would be suitable? He thought of characters like Kaguya Shinomiya or Shizuka Hiratsuka, but he realized there was someone even more perfect already in the guild: Minami Kotori's mother (Mrs. Minami)!

He opened a private chat with her.

[Sei: Chairwoman, I'm going to appoint you as an Executive. You'll be in charge of personnel management from now on, so Haruno can focus on logistics and finances.]

[Chairwoman: Eh? Is that appropriate?]

[Sei: Of course. I'll set your permissions now. I'm uploading an Executive Coat for you—remember to claim it.]

[Chairwoman: I understand.]

Seito promoted her to the high-level ranks and uploaded the coat. Five seconds later...

Whoosh—!

A pillar of light erupted, drawing the attention of all nearby members. Mrs. Minami appeared, draped in the iconic Executive Coat. The players were stirred—another Executive had been appointed!

"From now on, you are the Ninth Seat, in charge of Guild Personnel. SunnyCat, you handle the finances."

This clear division of labor satisfied both women. Next, Seito pulled out a set of Mage armor. "Chairwoman, this set is yours."

Chairwoman Minami looked at the stats.

"Eh?! This is too precious!" Even as a school chairwoman, she couldn't hide her shock. This was a unique Mage set! Players would kill for this.

"Take it," Seito insisted. "This is standard equipment for our Executives."

Seeing the scale of The Fatui's operations, she didn't refuse and equipped the gear immediately. Once she was ready, Seito opened the guild channel.

[Sei: @All Members. Assemble!]

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—!

Following his message, streaks of light began descending one after another as the guild gathered for war.

[T/N: Good night, everyone! My phone is absolutely cooked, it's been "pregnant" for months now, and if I don't fix it soon, it might just explode on me (༼;´༎ຶ _ ༎ຶ༽ )

But hey, it still works somehow… so I guess we ball]
