Chapter 442: Seito: "You Can Just Treat Her and Me as Creator Gods."
....
Seito: "???"
Red-sama?!
His expression turned slightly weird as he couldn't help but steal another glance at the boy.
So the kid was named Red—no doubt he was the very legendary figure Seito knew from his past life. What a coincidence!
"Understood," Red nodded, turning on his heel and heading out.
Seito's group followed Professor Oak into the research complex.
The moment they stepped inside, they spotted numerous Pokémon rarely seen in the wild, including several exceptionally rare species. The sight kept Seito and the others thoroughly intrigued.
Passing through the courtyard, the group entered the main residence.
"Please, make yourselves comfortable, everyone," Professor Oak said, stepping over to pour some fresh tea.
"Thank you, Professor," Seito replied as the group settled onto the couches.
Setting down the warm tea, Professor Oak sat down across from Seito and asked straightforwardly: "So, what brings you all to my laboratory?"
Although Professor Oak was easygoing and approachable, he was by no means naive or foolishly naive. A naive person could never become a world-renowned Pokémon Professor, after all.
"Professor, we actually hail from beyond this universe," Seito revealed, making his identity clear right from the start.
There was zero need to hide anything at this point. Disclosing the truth directly to Professor Oak was the cleanest route; with the Professor's intellect, Seito trusted he wouldn't go around recklessly broadcasting their identities to the world—provided, of course, they didn't commit anything heinous.
"From beyond the universe?!" Professor Oak gasped, taken aback.
That answer was completely beyond his expectations! He never imagined Seito's group didn't even belong to this world.
"That's right," Seito nodded, casting a gentle glance at young Sakura resting in his arms.
"We come from a supernatural planet. This lady, the white-haired girl, and the child in my arms all possess supernatural powers similar to those found in Pokémon."
"Powers like ESP?" Professor Oak instantly caught Seito's drift.
A supernatural world, yet entirely distinct from Planet Pokémon. On Planet Pokémon, only an exceedingly small fraction of humans innately possessed special traits—such as Psychic powers, the Viridian Force, the Dragon Force, or Aura.
Hearing Seito describe their world as a supernatural planet meant that extraordinary abilities were universal among its population.
"What about you and this young lady?" Professor Oak asked, gesturing toward Nyaruko.
He found it peculiar that Seito had deliberately excluded himself and Nyaruko when describing the others.
"Are you familiar with the Creator God of Planet Pokémon?" Seito countered with a subtle smile rather than answering directly.
"Of course—Arceus," Professor Oak nodded. He had researched clues regarding Arceus before and knew of its status as the Creator God, though the legendary entity remained so shrouded in mystery that he only knew its name. Still, he understood that a Creator God wielded authority far beyond what any ordinary Pokémon could ever dream of.
"You can just treat her and me as Creator Gods," Seito offered a light chuckle.
"That's right!" Nyaruko puffed out her chest, her hair-spike twitching proudly.
Professor Oak: "..."
Treat them as Creator Gods?!
Don't tell me...?!!
As the realization hit him, Professor Oak almost jumped out of his seat. Good grief—the two individuals standing right in front of him were literal deities?!!
It wasn't just Professor Oak who was thoroughly shaken; even Irisviel felt a surge of shock. She knew Seito and Nyaruko were divine beings, but the fact that they stood on equal footing with a cosmic Creator God was something she never could have anticipated!
Once the initial shock wore off, Professor Oak fell into deep thought.
After a long pause, he looked up at Seito: "What do you plan to do here on Planet Pokémon?"
"Just a casual vacation," Seito answered easily. "Catching a few Pokémon along the way and trying out the life of a Pokémon Trainer."
"I see," Professor Oak let out a long sigh of relief.
As long as Seito's group harbored no ill intent, everything was fine.
As for whether he should report this to the Pokémon League? Professor Oak wouldn't dream of it!
The reason was simple: Seito's group possessed a truly unique existence—beings commanding cosmic divine power! If he submitted this information to the League, what if high-ranking officials tried to play fire?
Behind the League's glamorous facade lurked plenty of political corruption. If dark organizations like Team Rocket conducted unethical Pokémon research, did the League truly keep its hands clean?
Hardly! Take a single fact: most Pokémon naturally outlived human beings. Facing the temptation of supernatural authority and extended lifespan, human greed was nearly impossible to suppress!
If Seito's true nature were exposed, it would trigger a massive political storm across Planet Pokémon. Thus, keeping it strictly between them was the only sane choice.
"Would you like to stay here at my laboratory for the time being?" Professor Oak offered after a moment's consideration.
"We'd be delighted," Seito smiled warmly.
And just like that, an agreement was struck.
Handing young Sakura over to Irisviel, Seito turned to the group: "Why don't you ladies take Illya out for a walk first?"
"Awesome~!"
"Yay~!"
Nyaruko and Illya cheered in unison, darting out the door immediately and leaving everyone behind chuckling helplessly.
"I'll head outside as well," Irisviel stood up while holding Sakura. Currently, she wasn't just Illya's mother, but effectively acting as a chaperone for Nyaruko as well.
"Thanks for the hard work," Seito nodded gently.
"It's no trouble at all," Irisviel waved her hand with a gentle smile, carrying Sakura as she turned to leave.
Inside the quiet laboratory, only Professor Oak and Seito remained.
"Would you like me to sponsor a starter Pokémon for you?" Professor Oak offered.
"No need for that," Seito shook his head lightly. "Just a single Ultra Ball will do."
"Fair enough."
Professor Oak reached into his drawer, pulled out a sleek Ultra Ball, and handed it over. Since Seito only requested a single Ultra Ball, he clearly intended to wild-catch his initial partner himself—though the Professor couldn't help but wonder what kind of Pokémon a literal deity would choose as a starter.
"Thanks," Seito accepted the Pokéball, pressing the center button twice to test its expansion and shrinkage until it shrunk down into a compact pendant.
Looking up at Professor Oak, Seito offered a light smile: "I'll head out to catch my starter now."
"Good luck!"
Zip~!
Right before Professor Oak's eyes, Seito vanished into thin air in the span of a single blink.
"This young friend is truly remarkable..."
Professor Oak murmured in awe.
Just that casual display of instant spatial movement alone demonstrated a level of authority far beyond mortal comprehension.
