Chapter 434: The Matou Household? The Old Worm? The Young Purple-Haired Sakura?
....
"Bugs? I'm not scared of bugs!"
Nyaruko puffed out her chest and snorted, "I've visited Zerg territory out in space before; a few little insects aren't going to phase me!"
"Fair enough."
Seito sounded slightly surprised. He didn't expect this merged omniverse to host actual Zerg domains.
Without dwelling on it, Seito led Nyaruko straight toward the Matou residence.
That's right! His primary objective right now was to eradicate the Old Worm once and for all!
The Old Worm went by the name Zouken Matou—the head of the Matou family, who had survived for centuries through grotesque means. At this point in time, he had already implanted the infamous Crest Worms inside young Sakura!
The Crest Worms were a truly vile form of magecraft, effectively functioning like parasitic puppets. Zouken aimed to cover Sakura's body with these parasitic worms to prepare a fresh host vessel for his own soul's transfer.
Throughout the Fourth Holy Grail War, the most tragic victim was undeniably Sakura!
Sakura was originally born Sakura Tohsaka, the younger daughter of Tokiomi Tohsaka. Both of Tokiomi's daughters were gifted with exceptional magical talent, but Tokiomi could only realistically groom a single heir to inherit the Tohsaka crest and magecraft line.
Rin Tohsaka, who possessed superior compatibility with the family's element, naturally became the chosen successor.
As for Sakura? To avoid letting her incredible magical talent go to waste, Tokiomi gave her away to Zouken Matou for adoption. In his mind, he was ensuring his daughter wouldn't be sidelined without a legacy.
What Tokiomi failed to realize was that Zouken wasn't human in any moral sense.
The moment Sakura arrived at the Matou household, Zouken threw the innocent child straight into a pit of flesh-eating Crest Worms, subjecting her to unimaginable tortures throughout her childhood.
Worse still, even if the Old Worm perished, his grandson Shinji Matou was equally vile, inflicting endless abuse on Sakura as she grew up.
Seito's goal for tonight was simple: wipe out both Zouken Matou and Shinji Matou, then take Sakura away from this hellhole.
As for whether this would alter the Type-Moon timeline?
He couldn't care less! Even if Gaia and Alaya caught wind of his actions, Seito could easily use his Origin Treasure to slip away into deep space.
Half an hour later.
Seito and Nyaruko stopped right outside a dark, gloomy estate.
"Is this the place you were talking about?" Nyaruko frowned slightly.
It wasn't that she feared bugs, but the entire mansion radiated a dreary, corrupted aura that made her deeply uncomfortable.
"Yep!" Seito nodded, stepping past the gates with Nyaruko right behind him.
Creeeeak~~
Pushing open the heavy wooden doors, they walked straight into the main foyer.
"Who are you two?!"
A middle-aged man with short blue hair—resembling an older Shinji—stepped into the hallway, demanding answers with a tense expression.
This man was Byakuya Matou, the nominal head of the family, though true authority rested entirely with his father, Zouken! His younger brother was also participating in the current Holy Grail War—Kariya Matou, the Master of Berserker!
"You don't need to know," Seito chuckled softly, walking right past him.
Nyaruko didn't bother offering Byakuya a single glance either, casually following Seito's lead.
Their complete disregard left Byakuya stunned.
Hey! This is the Matou household, and I'm the master of this estate! Why are these two random intruders acting like they own the place?!
Coming to his senses, Byakuya snapped: "State your business in the Matou household at once!"
Rather than wasting time arguing, Seito vanished on the spot. Nyaruko followed suit, vanishing into thin air alongside him.
Seeing the two disappear right before his eyes, Byakuya gasped in shock.
Are they... magi?!
Inside a darkened room on the second floor of the mansion.
A wizened, decrepit figure slowly stood up from his chair.
"Two Gods...?"
Zouken Matou felt a sudden, icy jolt run through his core.
Why have two actual Gods entered my residence?!
Having lived for centuries, Zouken possessed vast knowledge of mystery and divinity. He recognized the intense, divine pressure radiating from Seito and Nyaruko the instant they breached the estate.
What unsettled him most was that these two deities had broken into his home without warning. A grim premonition washed over the old sorcerer!
Without a second thought, he hobbled toward the hallway.
The architecture of the Matou estate hid revolting secrets.
Down in the subterranean basement, thousands upon thousands of venomous Crest Worms squirmed across the floor in a grotesque, writhing pit!
At the very center of the pit lay a young, purple-haired girl. Her eyes were hollow, her expression completely numb as the insects crawled over her tiny frame.
Zip, zip~~!
Seito and Nyaruko materialized directly above the pit.
"This...!!!"
Seeing the horror below, Nyaruko's eyes flared with pure rage. This was the first time she had witnessed such a horrific sight! The young girl trapped in that pit looked like she wasn't even eight years old!
"Who did this?!"
BOOM!!
A terrifying wave of divine power began to burst from Nyaruko's frame. Seito quickly cast a barrier of space-time energy to conceal her aura—letting Nyaruko unleash her full Main God power here might accidentally draw the attention of Gaia and Alaya!
"An old bug named Zouken Matou," Seito answered calmly.
Though his voice sounded unbothered, anger burned beneath his calm exterior. It was his first time seeing such a sickening scene in person.
With a gentle wave of his right hand, Seito released an absolute force of cosmic authority.
In a fraction of a second, every single Crest Worm in the entire Matou estate disintegrated into fine gray ash! Sakura's tiny body tumbled safely onto the cleared stone floor.
Tap, tap, tap~~
Footsteps echoed from the staircase behind them. Seito and Nyaruko turned their heads to look.
A withered, hunched old man who looked like little more than skin and bones stepped onto the balcony overlooking the basement.
"Why have you slaughtered my insects?" Zouken demanded, his raspy voice ringing through the room.
Hearing his arrogant question, Seito almost laughed out loud.
Did this old bug truly think they were bound by the limitations of Age of Gods deities from Planet Type-Moon? He and Nyaruko were peak Main Gods who stood at the top of the entire omniverse!
A mere mortal parasite dared to address them with such defiance?
Ignoring the old man completely, Seito raised his hand.
Little Sakura floated up gently from the floor, settling securely into Seito's left arm. Looking down at the battered, traumatized child in his arms, Seito felt a wave of sympathy.
Placing his right hand over Sakura's forehead, Seito channeled his divine authority to purge every trace of dark magecraft from her body.
The most critical threat to her life was the main worm anchored directly to her heart—Zouken's ultimate fallback insurance for his own immortality!
