Chapter 2 - BAB 2 : unexpected news

*The next morning Umbrela, The Connection, Oswel came to surround the village*

The atmosphere of the morning that was supposed to be calm was broken by the deafening rumble of the machine. The normally peaceful mountain fog is now torn apart by dozens of combat helicopters with the Umbrella and The Connection logos that cover the sky until the sun is not visible.

On land, rows of armored vehicles surrounded every exit of the village. Mercenaries in black-and-red tactical uniforms descended with rapper ropes, besieging the village gate. In the front row, a luxury command vehicle stopped. The door opened, and an old man with a very cold dignity came out—that was Lord Oswell.

Beside him, Albert stood with a face that was still pale but looked full of vengeance.

"We have come to take what is ours!" Oswell's voice echoed through the loudspeakers, shaking throughout the valley. "Hand over the 'Alpha' and Lady Dimitrescu, or we'll turn this village to ashes in ten minutes!"

Panic and Preparedness in the Village

Inside the castle, the atmosphere turns into a battlefield.

Heisenberg was already on the balcony, his hands held high—hundreds of iron bars, saws, and metal scraps from his factory began to float in the air, forming electromagnetic barricades. "They really came to die, huh? Boss, give me an order, and I'll tear that helicopter apart like a can of sardines!"

Alcina is standing beside you, her nails extending up to 30 cm, her eyes shining red. "How dare they pollute our mornings with the smell of gunpowder..."

Miranda appeared from behind the shadows, her black wings wide open. "They carry the Megamycete nerve-cutting weapon. We have to be vigilant."

Besieged Situation

Oswell is no kidding. On top of the hill, they have installed orbital laser cannons and thermobaric missile launchers aimed right at the heart of the village.

-

Wait for Oswel, *I went out of the village and told them to negotiate*

You walk out through the village gates alone, with no weapons in hand, no armor protection. Behind you, Alcina and Heisenberg hold their breath, ready to explode if something happens to you. You're standing in the middle of a vast snowy field, right in front of the tanks and thousands of The Connection's gun muzzles.

Lord Oswell gave a hand gesture. The helicopters stop firing but keep circling above you like vultures. He got out of his command vehicle, accompanied by Albert who looked trembling at the sight of you.

"Negotiations?" Oswell laughed dryly, his voice hoarse but full of authority. "Young man, you just embarrassed my organization and stole 5 billion dollars from our coffers. In this world, there is no negotiation for such treachery. Unless..."

It stops exactly five meters in front of you. An army of elite soldiers with nerve-killing weapons (anti-mutants) locks the target towards your heart.

"Unless you voluntarily surrender yourself to be the subject of our main research," Oswell continued with greedy eyes. "Give me the secret of how you can control the fire and fly without a disgusting mutation like Alcina or Miranda. Do that, and I will let this village stand as a monument to your success."

Albert whispered something into Oswell's ear, presumably warning him of what he saw last night, but Oswell just snorted in disdain.

Tense Negotiation Situation

You stand between two big choices: save the village with diplomacy or use this moment to destroy them from within.

-

I'm just an ordinary human Oswel, how do you know if I have the power?

Oswell was silent for a moment, then he glanced at Albert, who immediately lowered his head in fear. Oswell then pulled out a transparent tablet that displayed thermal satellite footage of the night's events at the top of the mountain—an unbelievably large hot spot and the movement of objects hurtling through the clouds at an unbelievable speed.

"Don't underestimate our satellite technology," Oswell said in a cold tone. "Albert may seem like a hallucinatory coward, but the numbers never lie. The surge of energy you released overnight was bigger than a small-scale nuclear reactor explosion. No 'ordinary man' could emit such heat without burning into ashes."

Oswell took one step closer, his eyes narrowed probably.

"You're very good at acting. You hide behind the title of 'village leader' and pretend to be a protector for these monsters. But I do know the truth... you're not an ordinary human, you're the key we've been looking for to perfect Project W."

Behind you, you can hear Heisenberg's heartbeat starting to unsteady and Alcina's low growl ready to strike. Oswell's soldiers began to raise their weapons, their fingers already on the trigger.

"So, stop role-playing," Oswell continued with a sly smile. "Show me what kind of 'ordinary man' Albert can in his pants with just a smile. If you really don't have the power, then you wouldn't mind if I blew up the castle behind you right now, right?"

He raised his hand, ready to give the order to the helicopter pilot to fire a missile at Dimitrescu Castle as a bluff.

Boiling Point

Oswell is forcing you to show your true self in front of thousands of his troops. If you remain silent, the castle and your family are in danger. If you act, your secret is completely exposed.

-

*I tell the whole village not to go out of the village* Don't target Merka Oswel, my grandson

Oswell raised his hand, signaling the helicopter pilot to delay firing. The atmosphere became silent, only the roar of propellers splitting the morning air. He looks at you with a power-hungry gaze, as if he has just found the purest diamond in the middle of a pile of garbage.

"Wise decision," hissed Oswell, his curled lips forming a sickening smile of triumph. "The sacrifice of the leader for the sake of his people who... unique. Very heroic."

Behind the village gate, you can hear Alcina's restrained screams. "No! Don't let them take you!" Heisenberg also seemed to be gripping his large hammer so tightly that his iron creaked, but they all obeyed your orders to stay inside. They knew, if they went out, this village would be leveled with the ground.

Oswell gestured to two of his elite soldiers carrying special handcuffs made of carbon fiber and electronic nerve suppressors.

"If you're really 'just an ordinary man,' then you wouldn't mind wearing this," Oswell said, pointing to the handcuffs. "We'll take you to our central facility in London. If you are cooperative, this village will be safe. But if my satellite detects a single energy anomaly from your direction..." He glanced towards the castle, "... a total cleanup will begin."

Albert approaches hesitantly, holding a biometric scanner to make sure you're not disguising yourself or using illusions.

Crucial Moments in Front of Handcuffs

The soldier is now right in front of you, ready to handcuff you. Thousands of pairs of eyes and the muzzle of a weapon lock your body. Oswell believes he has won.
