Chapter 81 - A grim reality and the power of the infinity stone's

Guarding a blue gate was a tall man with black wings' long, wavy black hair, wearing mastercrafted armour. The man looked up to see a man with white wings and long white hair descending.

"Oh well, if it isn't Erskine, what bring's you're majesty to this damned world?"said Eldrin with a barely contained smirk.

Erskine shook his head at the bullshit.

"You are not planning to single-handedly protect the portal.. right?"

Eldrin smiled.

"That is exactly what I'm planning."

Erskine looked at Eldrin like he was insane, though he expected that answer to be honest.

Eldrin looked back at the portal he was guarding and said in amusement.

"The people of that world have awakened a resolve made of steel; they have been given technology, they have been given purpose, now they have been given a reason to fight,a reason to resist and defy their grim fate."

Eldrin's tone turned serious as he looked up at the distant stars.

"I'm afraid the time has come, old friend, you must depart from here at once."

Erskine turned toward's the direction that Eldrin was looking, but his eyes widened at the impossible sight; it was a dark purple portal big enough to swallow the sun,but Eldrin's expression turned calm.

"The portal is lightyears away, it's gonna take them quite a bit to arrive here."

Eldrin's eyes twitched.

"Your intelligence has ruined the dramatic atmosphere that I tried so hard to create."

Erskine couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"What a drama queen,so what is the big plan?"

Eldrin looked at the giant purple portal light-years away.

"Well, the plan is not to die."

Tch!

"No shit sherlock! Stop messing around!"

Eldrin waved his hand.

"Fine fine fine, your goal should be to expand the human empire to other solar systems, colonise multiple planets for resources and to expand the human population. Mold the people's mindsets to adapt to war and death, and most importantly, you need to advance and create new, powerful weapons."

Erskine nodded in understatement,a pretty simple yet effective plan.

"I will act as a guardian of that portal until the human empire has sufficient strength to defend it. After all, it can act as a gateway for the human empire in case this whole universe is doomed."

Erskine, however, looked at Eldrin with a very serious expression.

"You know that it may take decades or even centuries for us to reach the necessary strength. Can you fight for that long against an endless army?"

Eldrin smirked and answered with absolute certainty.

"At most I can hold them back for 3 years, more than that and they will overwhelm me,But no worries,by that time the people of that world would have obtained enough strength to help me hold them back for a bit more."

But Eldrin's expression turned sour.

"That will require many sacrifices,i fear."

Erskine sighed. The blood that will be spilled from this war will be enough to create an ocean.

Erskine sat beside Eldrin in solemn silence and after a couple of hours, he left, heading back to the human empire. They need their emperor after all.

Weeks passed just like that, the army of Dormammu was silently and rapidly approaching from light-years away, they tore apart every planet they came across, whether it had life in it,or not, it didn't matter,i would be torn apart nonetheless.

Progress from the humans of the invisible world was rapid, too rapid,in a few mere weeks, they had already started building their empire with surprising efficiency, the number of Astartes and supersoldiers had grown dramatically, almost all the more than one billion humans were enhanced, the trouble makers were being rapidly eliminated by the Astartes who held the order of the new empire.

As for the humans of the Marvel world who now inhabited the super-earth also known as LHS 1140 b had already built their first megacity, bigger than that 2 USA combined,it could hold up to 3 billion people; however, that wasn't enough, the population of the human empire has grown exponentially over the years, now surpassing 14 billion.

There was however, a solution, something that Erskine did not dare to try before, but now he had to,even with their technology, it would take at least a year to build enough megacities to host the entire human race,But what if they used the infinity stones to build enough cities in an instant?

In the sky, two figures floated in the air: the ancient one and Erskine. The ancient one handed the time stone to Erskine, who proceeded to put it into his gauntlet, where the power stone, reality stone and spacestone were.

Erksine looked at the empty flat landscape that spanned thousands of kilometers and closed his eyes. After a few seconds, he snapped his fingers and opened them to see a giant futuristic city made of metal that spanned thousands of kilometers. There was no dramatic effect; the city was simply there as if it always was.

"Well, that's...efficient"said the ancient one impressed.

"Maybe too efficient"answered Erskine as he looked at the gigantic city before him.

They then proceeded to make other megacities around the giant planet,eco-friendly of course. Erskine and the ancient one then went toward's the deep ocean that was full of leviathan level creature's and went deeper until they saw countless construction machines that were building an underwater city.

Suddenly, a figure swam toward them at supersonic speeds. It was Nomar.

"Greeting Mr.Erskine, to what do I owe the pleasure?"spoke Namor with respect.

'Today is free megacities day, I'm here to deliver you your free megacity."answered Erskine while smirking.

Namor's expression was filled with confusion, just as he was about to ask what that meant. Erskine snapped his fingers and an impossible sight unfolded before Namor's eyes.

A giant futuristic underwater city, which looked like a futuristic version of Atlantis that spanned thousands of kilometers, manifested at the bottom of the ocean, naturaly this wasn't the deepest part of the ocean on this planet, but it was still as deep as the Mariana Trench.

Namor looked at the magnificent city before him and though he was dreaming, this city could house billions of Talokanil! and the architecture was amazing. Namor was about to thank Erskine, but he looked behind to see that he was gone.
