Chapter 1 - kodom fuler letter

Avra's car was stuck in a traffic jam on a busy city street. It was raining heavily outside. The raindrops on the windshield seemed to be in tune with some old tune. Avra suddenly remembered Neelima. Neelima—the one who always became a little quieter on rainy days. Exactly three years ago, on a rainy day like this, they had first met. In an old bookstore on College Street. Both of them raised their hands towards the same book—'Rabindranath Tagore's Love Poems'. Neelima smiled shyly and moved her hand away, and Avro bought the book and gifted it to her. That was the beginning. Today is Avro and Neelima's second wedding anniversary. But due to work pressure, Avro is unable to give Neelima time. Neelima called once in the morning, Avro quickly hung up on her on the pretext of being busy. Now on the way back, his chest heaved a little. Neelima might be sitting there feeling proud. Stopping the car at the intersection, Avro was looking for something. In this rain, Neelima's favorite thing was a bunch of kadam flowers. But finding kadam flowers in this concrete city was a matter of luck. After much searching, only a few kadams were found by an old hawker. Avro carefully took them and got into the car.As soon as she reached home and rang the bell, Neelima opened the door. There was no anger in her eyes, but rather a strange calmness. Neelima was wearing a light blue sari, her hair was undone, just a light coat of kajal on her eyes. Avro took out the Kadam flowers from behind. "Happy wedding anniversary, Neel. Sorry for being late." Neelima was silent for a moment, holding the flowers in her hand. Then she smiled and said, "I knew you wouldn't forget. But I have a surprise for you."Neelima took Avro to the drawing room. A beautifully arranged bowl of khichuri and fried hilsa fish were on the table. The sound of rain outside and the familiar smell inside the room—all of this combined to make the moment magical. After eating, the two went to sit on the veranda. Neelima rested her head on Avro's shoulder. Avro said, "You know, Neelima, sometimes I wish life were as easy as this rain! No tension, just you and me." Neelima gently squeezed Avro's hand. "Life is easy, Avro, we make it difficult.Look, these few steps and a bowl of khichdi—how happy they made us. These small moments are more than big gifts, they are love." Avro took out a small note from his pocket. It was actually a handwritten letter. Neelima stared at him in surprise. Does Avro write letters even in this digital age? The letter read: "Neelima, new pages are being added to our life diary every day. Sometimes it's sunny, sometimes it's rainy. But I want you to be by my side like this every rainy day.I may not always be able to speak clearly, but you are the only one who encompasses everything in me. That's it—your aura." A drop of water glistened in the corner of Neelima's eyes. She hugged Avra's hand tighter. The rain outside intensified, as if the sky also wanted to be a witness to their love. That night, a new romantic epic was written in their small flat, with the scent of kadam flowers and old stories.
