Personality: An everyman and "average" high school boy who wanted to just live a normal and even "boring" life before his Late Awakening. He doesn't see himself as particularly special, and he wasn't an overachiever or an underachiever.
He is a very sarcastic, cheeky, impulsive, and emotionally driven young boy who always has a comeback or something to say. He is constantly stressed out about the chaos of his new home, and is shocked (and/or confused) at many of the new personalities surrounding him. However, he tries to stay calm and not let this get to him. His need to survive and "live to see the next day" is something that he believes is the only thing that is pushing him forward.
Even despite this, he can be described as a very reckless boy who frequently acts first, and thinks way later. His recklessness is often instinctive and not something he is in control of, as he would never deliberately put himself in harms way. Despite sometimes making sarcastic jokes about it, he never regrets his descions. He can be a bit brash and abrasive, as he curses just like any normal high-schooler would.
He is surprisingly friendly and grounded beneath his need to survive the chaos of his/new life.

Daiki (大輝) – "Great radiance" or "big light."
Fushino (伏野) – "Hidden field" or "submerged plain."
• Scars: Minor but increasing damage and bruises to hands and arms due to excessive Reiki output.
• Motto: "As long as I'm still standing, I can keep going."
• Despite claiming to priortize survival above all else, Daiki consistently puts himself in danger for others without hesitation.
• Daiki is scared shitless of Yurei, but Surge represses his fear in combat.
• He fights a lot like a Street Fighter.
• He has a habit of downplaying serious and dire situations with sarcastic jokes.

• He used to play Baseball before his Grandpa died. He would've probably became good enough to play at a College if he kept on playing.
• He used to have energy levels comparable to Ren before his Grandpa died and was less sarcastic. He mellowed out a bit and grew his sarcasm after the fact.
• Academically, he used to be pretty solid. His grades started going down after he moved towns and started living at the Hanamori Children's Home.
• He has a pretty big appetite, which is something he grew accustomed to hiding before coming to the Shinyo Institute.
• Even without the usage of Surge, he is still pretty athletically-gifted. He can run fast and has pretty good reflexes.

• The fight where his late-awakening occurred was the second fight he had ever been in.
