Veronica's POV
Apartment
It had been a week since Jonathan saved me and so far everything was normal back home.
I was basking in the sun chatting with Ann, when Jonathan came around.
My smile faded as today he didn't bring my favorite cupcakes.
"Your cupcakes will arrive at home," he said as I looked at him confused.
"Ann," he asked her.
"Are your things packed?"
"Yes, I packed both our bags without Veronica knowing."
"What's going on?"
"Time to go back home, of course." Jonathan said.
"But isn't she there?"
"Veronica, I only beared her because I was afraid she'd do something to you,"
"Now that you're with me, it's time she pays for her crimes."
The drive back home was an emotional roller coaster for me.
I hadn't seen the kids for over a week, so I was eager to meet them.
At the same time I was going to face Imelda, who now had my face.
As the car stopped, my heart was beating faster as I really didn't know what to expect.
