When Yuan You spotted the Frosty Water Crab approaching, he instantly leaped into the air.
Sheng Jiu: ?
At this moment, she had no time to care about the Frosty Water Crab.
She needed to see why aliens could fly.
Upon closer inspection, it became clear that he had transformed the mechanical arm into an extremely thin elevator, and then, using his exceptional jumping ability, he had sprung up directly.
Sheng Jiu: ...!
Wow!
Awesome!
Sheng Jiu silently gave a thumbs up, then pulled back slightly.
The bait had been retrieved and was now at Sheng Jiu's feet.
Paul couldn't speak, only able to stare at Sheng Jiu with his bright green eyes.
He wanted to say: Little Boss, what are we having for dinner tonight?
He had credit points, and he could fight to his heart's content, so, let him try something good, okay?
Why kill the Frosty Water Crab?
Is it because it's delicious?
Where did all those octopus tentacles they cut down last night go?
…
Paul had too many questions, but unfortunately, Sheng Jiu ignored him, her eyes glued to Ares and the others.
Their fight was so exhilarating to watch!
So exhilarating that Sheng Jiu felt she could do it too!
Okay, may be she was out of her mind, she really couldn't do it.
She'd just watch.
Yuan You is the kind of person who is ruthless and doesn't talk much. He rejects all fancy moves and almost all of his fighting actions are effective attacks.
Shang Ying is the calmest, occasionally displaying a few fancy moves in combat.
However, once the situation becomes critical, the other party will immediately turn cold and decisive, showing no mercy whatsoever, coupled with a fierce look, giving people a chilling feeling of: "I'm sending you on your way."
Song Ziqi is similar to Sheng Jiu, mostly observing from the sidelines.
However, unlike Sheng Jiu, who was weak in combat and just watched the show the whole time, he was not.
He uses AI to analyze data and report various points, providing his teammates with more efficient and rational combat coordination.
Sheng Jiu guessed that this person might be a reserve talent for the commander?
Compared to the others, who were either calm, efficient, or technically skilled, Xie Yi's combat prowess, while impressive, but...
She felt it was a bit too flashy.
Perhaps it was because he was young and preferred those showy moves.
However, when chopping the legs of the Frosty Water Crab, his movements were swift and decisive. With a single cut, the crab leg loosened, and after Yuan You finished it off with a follow up cut, a crab leg was successfully severed!
The meat of the Frosty Water Crab, when raw, is translucent white and tender, with a slightly watery appearance.
After steaming, it becomes even whiter and firmer.
Sheng Jiu stared at the glistening, soft flesh at the cut, and couldn't help but swallow hard.
Paul: ?
Little Boss, what are you drooling over?
What's there to drool over in this scene?
Paul was bewildered, he had been lying flat just moments before.
Now, out of curiosity, he struggled to turn his head to look.
Then a small crab leg flew over.
The small crab leg was also quite long, but it didn't have much meat, compared to the crab claw, it had a delicate beauty.
However, if they pried it open, he felt they could probably get a few jin of meat out.
Sheng Jiu cautiously stepped forward, examined the crab leg, and then signaled the system to collect it.
The crab leg vanished on the spot, leaving only a patch of pale blue blood.
At first, Paul, watching this, thought Sheng Jiu had used a spatial button.
Although they weren't in the same interplanet, but no one claimed that interstellar technology was the most advanced.
There might be other higher dimensions in the universe.
Paul wasn't that arrogant.
However, he quickly realized something was wrong.
Because the large crab claw, extremely far away from them, had also vanished on the spot.
It really did disappear in a "whoosh."
Before disappearing, Paul heard Sheng Jiu mutter softly, "The meat is really good!"
Then the crab claw was gone.
Paul: ?
This scene repeated itself several times afterward.
One by one, the crab legs vanished on the spot.
After the Frosty Water Crab's legs were chopped off and it was attacked repeatedly until it finally collapsed, its massive body also disappeared!!!
Paul: ?!!!
The Imperial military's spatial button has advanced to this level?
Direct remote summoning, without even needing to make contact?
Paul's green eyes widened to their maximum.
Unfortunately, no one paid him any attention.
Not only did they ignore him, but they also used mechanical rods to prop him up again.
Although the Frosty Water Crab is not easy to kill, but it was missing a leg before, which significantly reduced its overall combat power.
Furthermore, Ares and his team cooperated well, and the allure of delicious food further motivated them.
So, an hour later, the battle ended.
However, the end of the battle with the Frosty Water Crab didn't mean the afternoon's adventure was over.
Ares quickly lifted Paul up and nodded to Sheng Jiu: "Little Boss, let's go, let's go collect Interstellar Dates!"
They had discovered a new patch of Mutated Interstellar Dates last night.
However, they were too busy killing Exploding Lotus Seeds and Mutant Octopuses yesterday to pay attention to them.
Now that they had some free time, they had to replenish her stock.
Although Sheng Jiu still has a considerable amount of Interstellar Dates in stock.
But who would complain about having too much stock?
Besides, Ares was worried that Sheng Jiu wouldn't be able to restock after he left.
At least she could sell some Interstellar Dates Tea, so she wouldn't lose too much money.
Upon hearing about Interstellar Dates, Sheng Jiu instantly perked up.
Other things could be lacking.
She could try to find good ingredients at the market or supermarket.
But Interstellar Dates were different!
Her current insomnia was entirely saved by Interstellar Dates!
Therefore, she was going to stock up!
Sheng Jiu quickly followed Ares's footsteps.
The newly discovered Mutated Interstellar Dates group is currently in a static mutation state.
In simple terms, static mutations mean they're still in their growth stage, not very aggressive, and won't be causing trouble for the time being.
The previous batch had already passed maturity and were in a period where they were bored and just wanted to fight everyday.
Upon hearing that they were still in their growth stage, Sheng Jiu couldn't help but worry: "Won't the efficacy be affected?"
Ares shook his head: "Don't worry, it won't."
Hearing that the efficacy wouldn't be affected, Sheng Jiu was relieved.
The group moved quickly, if it weren't for considering Sheng Jiu's speed, Ares and the others could have gone even faster.
Paul was quickly used as bait again.
The familiar mechanical rods, the familiar Paul bait.
Paul was now lying very flat, his mind was still racing…
Why were the Little Boss and the others catching Frosty Water Crabs?
He already knew they'd caught and eaten mutated octopuses!
Don't ask him how he knew!
It was only at this moment that Paul remembered that last night, when they were fishing for octopuses, Xie Yi had muttered to himself: "This thing looks fierce and is hard to catch, but it smells really good."
At the time, Paul was annoyed at being used as bait and hadn't thought much of it.
Now, thinking about it, they said it smelled so good!
What did it smell so good about?
After tasting the delicious food Sheng Jiu provided, Paul thought: Food just smells so good!
So, if mutated octopuses are edible, then Frosty Water Crabs might be edible too.
But what would they taste like?
