LAYER 19: NOTHINGNESS
Jamz, unable to bear the pain, gives up. Slowly, first his armor, then his body turns gray, his pupils disappear, his spine widens and he becomes hunched, his sword vanishes, his claws emerge, his face resembles that of a wolf, and his molars lengthen. "A magnificent transformation... As I suspected, you tried to collect your thoughts, but it didn't work... So you implemented the second plan. 'Destroy.' I admire that, indeed." Vahura comments, but his comment is interrupted by Jamz's senseless claw swings. Jamz screams with a terrifying voice. He begins to attack; like a mindless killing machine... Vahura begins to struggle and decides to use his Tes. "I'm not sure if you can hear me, but... I'll speak anyway." he says, closing himself in a square box. "I believe in perfection, Jamz. This square, for example. Perfect for hiding and protecting." he says, destroying the square and flying away, creating an oval beneath his feet. An oval. It's the perfect shape to balance on. He forms triangles and fires at Jamz like a bullet. A triangle. Perfect for bullets. Sharp and also a cool shape." Jamz easily dodges the triangles and lunges at Vahura, but hits a rectangle. A rectangle. "Can you seriously think of any other shape when you say wall? Perfect." says Vahura. Jamz falls down, and Vahura destroys the oval and lands beside Jamz. He forms two stars on his hands. The stars spin like a saw. "A star. One of my favorites. It's like five triangles joined together. A deadly weapon and perfect!" he says. At the same time, Jamz gets up, and the fight continues. Meanwhile, Uso and Luna emerge from the portal. Jamz appears unconscious and freed from the Tes of Nothingness in Uso's hands. He hands Jamz and the Tes of Nothingness to Luna and simply says, "Go." Luna tries to figure out what's going on for a while, but then shakes her head and leaves with both Jamz and Tes. Leaving the two agaijst each other. (...)
LAYER 20: SHAPE
Uso approaches Vahura. "Your time is up, Kort. You may want to give up. You can't beat me. I know you know that." he says. Vahura replies, "We've fought many times, Uso. I know what you've been doing over time. How you fight... I feel you still haven't reached your seal. That means victory is mine... My time is up, huh? I'll decide that." Vahura's hands align across his chest, trapping Uso inside the sphere. But Uso simply secures himself by reversing the sphere's time to a time before it even existed. Even though Uso is experienced and skilled at this, he doesn't have the willpower to do this forever. The same scenario repeats itself several times, and Uso lunges forward. Vahura forms an oval, creating a long distance between them, never allowing Uso to approach. "If I cross this line, he'll slow down time, stop it when he is close enough, and easily finish me off. I can't allow that," he thinks to himself. Triangles fly through the air, rectangles block Uso. Uso easily dodges every attack but can't get within an inch of Vahura. Vahura traps Uso in a square and devises a plan. "What a cheap trick..." he thinks, rewinding the square's time, but Vahura has vanished. Uso looks around, and at that very moment, Vahura is coming towards him at lightning speed, directly from above. He aligns two fingers to pierce Uso's eyes, but Uso manages to stop Vahura's time just millimeter away. "I won't lie, you scared me. You almost caught me. So when your shape games didn't work, you decided to put everything on the line, huh? But it was all in vain... You fought very well, Vahura. Goodbye..." he says, and reaches out to take his Tes. But Vahura's hand enters Uso's chest and takes the Tes of Time. "Everyone has a shape, Uso..." he says, pulling his hand back and kicking Uso away. "But how... You can't copy the Tes...! Uso exclaims in pain... Until he realizes the truth. (...)
LAYER 21: TIME
"I didn't copy it. I took it from myself and gave it to my clone... The power of Tes always leaves a little in the body... I told you, Uso. Victory is mine..." says Vahura. He takes Uso into the orb, "Any last words?" he asks. Uso simply replies, "I have no regrets." The orb shrinks and disappears. Uso is dead. Vahura walks and sits waiting at the castle gate. After a long wait, Jamz and Luna return healed. "Uso... Where is he?" says Jamz, shocked. Vahura throws the Time Tes at Jamz, saying, "I can't say I didn't sweat. But I was smarter." Luna, surprised, asks, "The most experienced member after Pusgurt and Kira... Did he just die like that?" Jamz laughs. He bursts into laughter. Vahura and Luna are also surprised. He takes the Tes of Time, "So you're challenging me?" He absorbs the Tes of Time, and a giant cyan light emanates from where he stands, rising to the sky. When the light disappears, Jamz is revealed. His armor, hair, eyes, and skin have turned cyan, and a white, cape-like scarf is around his neck. "I don't want you to cry when you lose, because you are the challenger here." he says, laughing. The Seal of Time: Tears of the Future. Jamz opens the Seal immediately. His eyes fill with tears, and stream down his cheeks, leaving trails. Vahura also forms a 4-dimensional octagon where his head should be, saying, "The Seal of Shape: The Shapeless Shape of Octagon. I wanted to be equal." The battle begins. Jamz attacks, dodges. Vahura attacks, dodges. Neither of them can even hit the other once. Vahura stops and says, "I want to know what your Seal did, Jamz. I'll tell you mine too." Jamz replies without hesitation, "I simply see the future." "I won't tell you how far ahead I can see, of course. That would be ridiculous, wouldn't it?" he says. Vahura laughs and says, "You're right, of course. My power is this: I can see the shape of your body and mind. If you want to kill me, your mind adapts accordingly. Or if you're going to pounce on me, your body adapts accordingly. Perfect, isn't it?" But he is shocked by Jamz's next words. (...)
LAYER 22: FEAR
"I've figured that our powers cancel each other in a way. I think this is pointless, Vahura. Our seals overlap. What's the point of a match neither can win?" Jamz says. Vahura, surprised, replies, "I know you're right, Jamz. But we warriors can't stop. We have to fight constantly. That's our thing." "So be it," Jamz says, opening his hand. He holds the Tes of Shape. A hole has opened where Vahura's Tes was, and it's bleeding. His seal is erased, and he falls to his knees. "Impossible. Your mind didn't even form." he says, surprised but impressed. "Why do you keep explaining your own power, Vahura?" Jamz asks. "Could you have beaten me otherwise?" Vahura replies. Jamz acknowledges his words and continues talking, but Vahura says, "Then the rest is irrelevant..." His voice slowly lowers, his balance begins to waver. "It was an honor fighting you. I'm grateful, Jamz. No, no. My Lord... Thank you for bringing me back to life..." he says, collapsing to the ground, his Tes turning to dust. Jamz stands upright. "I am the one who is grateful. To have a rival like you... It is an honor. Farewell, Vahura." he says, and turns to Luna. "Let's go, Luna." Luna opens the portal, they enter, and the portal closes. Inside, it is only darkness. "I was expecting something more spectacular, to be honest," says Jamz. But Luna asks an indifferent question, "Hey Jamz. Did you feel any sorrow for your fallen comrades?" "I was shocked because I didn't expect it, but I can't say I felt sorrow. After all, I didn't even have the chance to properly get to know any of them" Jamz replies. "Would you be sad if I died...? I feel like you care about me..." Luna continues. Although Jamz senses the tremor in Luna's voice, he says, "That's a no. We're just on the same side. I don't know you as well as I know the others." He doesn't even tremble. Luna is silent for a while. For a long time. "I thought I could love you. It's not nice of you to break my heart..." she says, deciding to speak. Jamz's eyes widen. Not from embarrassment or surprise... but from pure fear... In his village, Jamz had heard such words from many girls, even received marriage offers from many. Each time, his cheeks had flushed, he had felt embarrassment, surprise, even joy, and he had either politely refused or acted humbly. That's exactly why there was fear in his eyes. None of those feelings remained... He was turning into the monster he hated so much... His eyes return to their former size, "Heart...?" he says, placing his index finger on Luna's chest. "Aren't you already dead?" he asks, looking into the depths of her soul... Jamz withdraws his hand, Luna turns away. The rest of the journey is silence. Until the journey ends. The yellow light of Sarlion shines on their faces. They emerge and come to Granq. "The Lord of Blood? Jamz, right?" "I'm Granq. The ruler of Sarlion," Granq says. He has a deep voice. Really deep. "Finally, we've met, Granq. You're exactly as I imagined. Yellow. Covered in armor… So, what are we doing here?" Jamz asks. "Luna's portals can't reach Jilid. I'll take you there." Granq replies. While Granq and Jamz are teleported to Jilid, Luna enters the portal and sets off for Werteron. On the way, she keeps thinking about the last, terrified look Jamz gave her. She enters Werteron and is met by Pusgurt, a tall, grey-bearded man in a green robe, his body barely visible except for his brownish skin. "Is Uso dead, Luna?" he asks in an old, deep voice. Luna doesn't speak, she just shakes her head. "We'll all die, Luna. This is our last battle anyway." Pusgurt says. At that moment, Stellan and Kira arrive. Kira says, "He was my best friend. We grew stronger together. But he's gone… You can't stop death." Stellan, being clueless about philosophical matters, simply nods in agreement. Pusgurt continues, "Go together when Jamz arrives. We'll arrive the moment your fight with Zars begins. But there's one more member; Vulkooddat, the owner of the Tes of Sensory. Divided into five Tes: Sight, Hearing, Smell, Touch, and Taste. Don't let him use his seal, or you'll lose. He becomes invulnerable. You can't defeat him in any way." (...)
