LAYER 0: STAGE

Year 898 (?). A mortal was born in a village in Hokkaido, Japan. He was mature for his age; intelligent, strong, willful, and resilient. His mother was a refugee who fled Sweden due to the war while his father was a Turkmen living in Japan. His father was earning their living by mining coal, and his mother took care of the housework. Years later, one day, while the mortal was walking around the city with his friend Yuuta, they wanted to buy a storybook they see in a secondhand bookstore. They bought it immediately and return to the village. But Yuuta mentioned that he had work to do and left. The mortal read this book every free time for years until he was 15 years old. Now 15, he was no longer interested in fairy tale books and became interested in ancient warriors more. He got a job with his father's blacksmith friend, quickly learned the job, and became familiar with it. At the same time, he was delivering the coal his father mined to the city center. One day, he took some coal to the city and returned home. On the way back, he took a wrong turn and got lost. This seemed strange to the mortal. "How could I have gotten lost in the place where I was born?" he wondered to himself. Shortly afterward, he found his way back home. At that exact time... His eyes rolled with horror. His home was in ruins, everyone was dead. A giant, purple demon was staring at the mortal from above the house. But at the same moment it took, it's smiling face suddenly filled with fear and immediately flew towards the cult figure, which the priests called the great tower, a five-layered structure, each with a different color. The mortal, furious, ignores his family and goes to the blacksmith, tells the events, equips the copper armor and cleaver he made, and sets off towards the tower. Yuuta greets him on the way but the mortal pays no attention to anyone. Yuuta, displeased by this behavior, asks what's going on. The mortal doesn't answer, only tells him to get out of his way and continues towards the tower. Yuuta, astonished, tries to stop him, but the enraged mortal pushes him away. When he reaches the tower, he doesn't back down, even though he realizes how huge the tower is. (...)
