The dark dungeon of the Junagarh palace had turned into a battlefield. The prison walls trembled at the sound of the hideous, grotesque forms of Sushila and Shilajit engaging in a mutual brawl. As Sushila broke Shilajit's teeth and kicked him in the back, and Shilajit, cowering in pain, bashed Sushila's head against the wall, the Maharaja, Aditya, and a group of guards rushed to the prison gate hearing those diabolical screams.
The Maharaja peered through the bars and turned his face away in loathing. Sushila was still out of her mind, shaking Shilajit by the collar. Aditya roared, "Stop it! Are you humans or beasts? Have you no shame even with these demonic forms? You are tearing each other apart even inside a cell!"
The Maharaja ordered the guards to separate them. He said in a grave voice, "I will not deliver their final judgment just yet. Seeing the extreme state of their mutual hatred and brawling, they will destroy themselves in their own biting. There is no release for them now; let them rot in this hell." Even as the guards tried to separate them, Sushila continued to aim kicks at Shilajit and hurled foul abuses from her mouth.
At that moment, a tragic incident occurred. The little princess Prabhasha, who had been playing on the palace balcony until then, followed her grandfather and father into the prison corridor unnoticed by everyone. She didn't realize what terrifying scene lay hidden behind this darkness. As Prabhasha gripped the prison bars and looked inside, Sushila spotted her. With her hideous appearance, Sushila lunged toward the bars. She screamed like a lunatic, "Prabhasha! Oh, my child! Have you come? Look, child, I am your mother! Don't be afraid of this ugly form, this is your real mother!"
Hearing a woman with such hideous bronzed skin, sunken eyes, and rotting flesh call her 'mother', Prabhasha froze in terror. She knew her mother to be the most beautiful princess in the world, Subarnalata. She could not accept this horror as her mother in any way. Stepping back two paces, Prabhasha burst into a loud wail. She began to scream, "No! You are not my mother! You are a demoness! Father... Father, look, this demoness is calling me 'child'!"
Sushila then began banging her head against the bars, saying, "No, child, I am your mother! I have become like this because that witch's potion ran out! Come, child, touch me just once!" But Prabhasha, covering her ears in fear, ran away from there. Seeing her daughter's extreme hatred and fear, the fury within Sushila increased a thousandfold. She began scratching the prison walls and screaming, "This is all the plot of that Snigdha and Arohi! My own daughter hates me! I won't spare anyone!"
Picking Prabhasha up in his arms and showing not a shred of mercy toward Sushila, Aditya said, "You saw the fruit of your sins today through your daughter's eyes, Sushila. A mother who destroys another's household for her own greed deserves only the hatred of her own child."
The Maharaja then gave strict orders, "Confine these two in separate dark cells. Let them never see each other's faces again. Let them burn and die in the fire of their own sins in solitary rooms." The guards carried Sushila and Shilajit away to separate cells. Sushila was still wailing, and Shilajit, wiping blood from his toothless mouth, was hurling curses at his own daughter. In that dark pit of the Junagarh palace, only the wail of darkness and the poisonous vapor of betrayal began to accumulate.
