Chapter 1 - “When the Sky Chose Me as Its Last King

The name of the village was Shalbon. It was a quiet and beautiful place surrounded by green rice fields. A narrow dirt road passed through the middle of the village. On both sides of the road stood tall shimul trees. In spring, their red flowers fell and covered the ground like a carpet.

The village was peaceful, but inside that peace there were many hidden stories.

In this village lived a boy named Rahat. He was sixteen years old. His father was a farmer and his mother was a housewife. Rahat was a quiet and thoughtful boy, but he had a strange habit—he loved to watch the sky at night.

He could sit for hours looking at the stars.

One night his mother asked him,

"Rahat, why do you stay awake so late looking at the sky?"

Rahat smiled gently.

"I don't know, mother. I feel like the sky holds many secrets."

While other boys in the village played football or swam in the river, Rahat loved reading books. His favorite subjects were science and space.

One day a new teacher came to their school. His name was Mr. Niloy. He was the science teacher.

On the first day in class, he asked the students,

"Who among you is interested in space?"

The classroom was silent.

Suddenly, one hand slowly went up.

It was Rahat.

The teacher smiled.

"You? What is your name?"

"Rahat," he replied.

From that day, the teacher began to notice Rahat more than the other students.

The Mysterious Night

One quiet night Rahat was sitting on the roof of his house, staring at the stars.

Suddenly he noticed a strange light in the sky.

At first he thought it was a star. But the light was moving.

Rahat stared at it carefully.

The light slowly grew bigger and brighter. Then suddenly it began to move downward toward the forest beside the village.

Rahat's heart started beating fast.

"Was that a meteor?" he wondered.

The next morning he told Mr. Niloy everything.

The teacher listened carefully.

"Are you sure it fell near the forest?" he asked.

"Yes, sir. I'm sure."

The teacher's eyes filled with curiosity.

"Then we should go there this afternoon."

Inside the Forest

That afternoon Rahat and Mr. Niloy walked toward the forest.

The forest beside Shalbon was thick and mysterious. Most villagers avoided going there.

Some people even said that ghosts lived in that forest.

But Mr. Niloy did not believe such stories.

As they walked deeper into the forest, the sound of birds echoed around them. Dry leaves crunched under their feet.

After walking for a while, Rahat suddenly stopped.

"Sir… look!"

There was a patch of land where the grass looked burned. The leaves of nearby trees were also damaged.

In the middle of the area lay a strange metal object.

It looked like a large metallic capsule.

Mr. Niloy slowly walked closer.

"This is not a meteor," he whispered.

Rahat asked nervously,

"Then what is it?"

The teacher looked carefully at the object.

"It looks like… some kind of machine."

The Strange Device

The object was shaped like a large drum.

Strange symbols were carved on its surface.

Rahat slowly reached out his hand to touch it.

Suddenly the object began to glow.

A bright blue light spread across the area.

Then a small part of the machine opened.

From inside, a small floating sphere came out.

It hovered in the air.

Rahat stepped back in fear.

"Sir… what is that?"

Suddenly a sound came from the sphere.

At first it sounded like strange noises.

But slowly the sounds changed into words.

"Do not be afraid."

Rahat and Mr. Niloy looked at each other in shock.

The sphere spoke again.

"I came from a distant planet."

A Message from Another World

Mr. Niloy gathered his courage and asked,

"Who… are you?"

The sphere replied,

"I am an exploration device. I was sent to observe your planet."

Rahat's eyes widened.

"So… you are an alien?"

The sphere paused.

"You may call it that. I am a technology created by another civilization."

The teacher asked,

"Where is your planet?"

"It is far beyond your solar system."

A Warning

Then the sphere spoke again.

"I have come with an important message."

Both Rahat and Mr. Niloy listened carefully.

"Your planet is in danger."

The teacher frowned.

"What kind of danger?"

"Danger created by humans themselves."

The sphere continued,

"Forests are being destroyed. The air is polluted. Rivers and oceans are filled with waste. If this continues, your planet will suffer greatly."

Rahat spoke softly,

"Can we do something to change it?"

The sphere replied,

"Yes. But time is limited."

The Beginning of Change

After that day, Rahat's life changed.

He began telling everyone in the village about protecting nature.

At first people laughed at him.

Some villagers said,

"This boy has gone crazy."

But Mr. Niloy supported him.

Together they started a group at school called "Green Earth Club."

Students began planting trees around the village.

They cleaned the river.

People slowly stopped throwing waste everywhere.

Little by little, the village began to change.

The Final Meeting

One night the strange blue light appeared again.

Rahat ran to the forest.

The sphere was waiting for him.

"You are doing good work," it said.

Rahat asked,

"Will you come back again?"

The sphere answered,

"Perhaps. But the future of Earth is in your hands."

Then the machine slowly rose into the sky.

The blue light faded into the stars.

Rahat stood there looking up at the sky.

He realized something important.

The universe was vast.

And humans had the power to protect their world—if they truly wanted to.

Epilogue

Many years later, Rahat became a scientist.

He studied space and the universe.

But his greatest mission was protecting Earth.

Because he never forgot the night when a mysterious light changed his life forever.
