Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 – Calm in the Middle of the Storm

The waiting room remained quiet.

Soft light from the ceiling reflected on the polished floor, while several hidden cameras continued recording every movement.

A government officer finally entered the room.

All eleven people looked up briefly.

The officer spoke in a formal tone.

"The testing schedule has been changed."

"The new time is 2 PM."

He did not wait for a response.

After delivering the message, he turned and walked out.

The heavy door closed behind him.

For a moment, the room became completely silent.

Then the eleven of them slowly looked at each other.

Their expressions showed the same feeling.

Exhaustion.

Long Chenxi stretched his arms slightly and leaned back on the sofa.

"Can we sleep here?" he asked lazily.

Long Minghao looked at the clock on the wall.

"If we sleep now, they'll wake us up when the test starts, right?"

Long Yuze was already picking up a pillow from another sofa.

"Good," he said calmly.

"I'm going to sleep."

The waiting room had several large sofas placed around the space.

There were also soft pillows arranged neatly on them.

Within a few seconds, the ten young men casually took the pillows and stretched themselves across the sofas.

One after another, they closed their eyes.

Some rested their arms over their faces.

Some turned sideways against the cushions.

Within moments, the room became quiet again.

They had all fallen asleep.

Suriya watched them for a moment.

Then she quietly locked the design screen on her phone.

She placed the phone beside her on the sofa.

Instead of lying down, she sat cross-legged comfortably.

Her back straightened naturally.

Her hands rested gently on her knees.

Then she slowly closed her eyes.

She entered meditation.

Inside the government observation hall, the reaction was immediate.

No one spoke for several seconds.

Hundreds of officers stared at the screens.

Ten internationally famous actors had just casually gone to sleep during a government investigation.

And the central figure of the scandal was calmly meditating.

One young officer finally broke the silence.

"Sir…"

The superior turned toward him.

"What?"

The officer spoke carefully.

"Yesterday they had a late-night film shoot."

"They returned home around five in the morning."

The cyber team quickly checked their records.

One of them nodded.

"That's correct, sir."

The room slowly filled with quiet frustration.

The officers had expected nervous behavior.

Fear.

Whispers.

Attempts to contact powerful people.

But instead…

The eleven suspects had simply fallen asleep.

On the screen, the young men now looked completely relaxed.

Some were already breathing slowly in deep sleep.

Suriya remained perfectly still in meditation.

Several officers rubbed their temples in irritation.

The calm behavior of the eleven people was beginning to affect the mood of the entire investigation team.

Some officers quietly shook their heads.

Others stared at the screens in disbelief.

Meanwhile, the cyber team was still working.

But they had made no progress.

Far away inside the control room, Long Jinhai and Long Jinmei watched the same scene unfold.

Both twins were silent.

Their expressions were not calm anymore.

They were angry.

Baby's voice spoke softly through the room.

"Should I launch a counterattack against their cyber team?"

The AI's tone was calm, but the meaning was clear.

Jinhai immediately shook his head.

"No."

Jinmei spoke next.

"Let them try."

Her voice carried quiet confidence.

"Let them do their best."

The giant screens continued showing the government observation hall.

And the sleeping waiting room.

Back inside the observation hall, another young officer hesitantly raised her hand.

"Sir…"

The superior looked toward her impatiently.

"What?"

She spoke carefully.

"Suriya usually meditates when she has free time."

The superior's expression hardened slightly.

"How do you know that?"

"Fans reported it many times," she replied nervously.

"She has spoken about meditation before."

"Many of her fans even started practicing meditation because of her."

The superior turned his head toward her sharply.

His expression showed clear irritation.

The young officer quickly lowered her head.

"I'm sorry, sir."

The superior looked back at the screen again.

"So she meditates often?"

"Yes, sir."

"Nothing unusual about this?"

"No, sir."

The superior leaned back in his chair.

His voice carried clear frustration.

"Then why are these eleven behaving like this?"

The room stayed silent.

He continued speaking slowly.

"In my entire service…"

"I have investigated many scandals."

"Many criminal cases."

"Many political situations."

"But I have never seen a case this complicated."

He pointed toward the screens.

"We cannot access their past."

"We cannot hack their devices."

"We cannot enter their surveillance systems."

He paused.

"And we cannot even find the person who exposed the scandal."

He turned toward the cyber team.

"Did you find who reported the original leak?"

The cyber officer shook his head.

"No, sir."

"The source was completely wiped."

"No digital trace."

"No location data."

"No identity."

The superior's expression darkened.

"So we cannot find the person who exposed them."

"No, sir."

"And we cannot find any clues from these eleven either."

The superior slowly exhaled.

Then he turned toward another department officer.

"Send someone to check their physical condition."

"I want confirmation."

"Are they really sleeping?"

"Or pretending?"

"Yes, sir."

An officer quickly went to the waiting room.

A few minutes later he returned with the report.

"Sir…"

He looked at the monitoring tablet.

"We checked their body signals."

"Heart rate."

"Breathing."

"Muscle relaxation."

He raised his head again.

"They are truly asleep."

"And Suriya?"

"She is either in deep meditation…"

"…or sleeping while sitting."

The officer shook his head slightly.

"But none of them are acting."

The superior stared at the screen once more.

Ten young men sleeping peacefully.

One young woman sitting silently in meditation.

Then he asked the final question.

"So everything… is normal?"

The officer nodded.

"Yes, sir."

And strangely…

That normality was beginning to feel more unsettling than anything else.

The superior officer remained standing in the center of the observation hall.

His eyes moved slowly across the large screens.

On the main display, the waiting room looked peaceful.

Too peaceful.
