Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 – The Missing Past

Inside the government observation hall, the atmosphere slowly began to change.

The earlier curiosity in the room was now turning into something deeper.

Concern.

Several senior officers who had been quietly watching the investigation finally leaned toward the superior officer.

One of the high-ranking officials spoke first.

"Sir… may I suggest something?"

The superior turned his attention toward him.

"Go ahead."

The officer glanced briefly at the large screen showing the waiting room.

The eleven young people were still sitting exactly as before.

Calm.

Relaxed.

Working quietly on their phones and tablets as if nothing unusual was happening.

The officer continued carefully.

"Sir… their behavior is unusual."

Another officer nodded in agreement.

"We brought them here for questioning and testing."

"Yet none of them appear nervous."

"None of them are trying to contact anyone."

"They are simply working."

A third officer added another concern.

"And we still cannot access their devices."

The superior remained silent, listening.

The first officer continued his suggestion.

"Sir… I believe we may be dealing with something larger than we expected."

He paused before saying the next part.

"Perhaps there are bigger secrets behind this group."

Several officers in the room exchanged thoughtful looks.

Another senior officer stepped forward.

"Sir, may I add something?"

"Speak."

"It is also strange that the company owners and the twin CEOs have not contacted any government authority yet."

That statement immediately drew attention.

Because normally, in cases involving famous celebrities, powerful people contacted officials very quickly.

But until now…

Nothing.

No calls.

No pressure.

No requests.

The officer continued.

"In even smaller cases, powerful people usually try to intervene."

"But this situation has become global news."

"Yet no one has contacted us to protect these eleven people."

He looked again at the screen.

"And the eleven themselves… are behaving as if none of this matters."

The superior slowly leaned back in his chair.

He remained quiet for several seconds.

The room waited.

Finally he asked,

"How much more time would you need?"

Another officer answered quickly.

"Sir… if possible, we could extend the observation period."

"We may discover more clues."

The superior looked again at the screen.

Inside the waiting room, one of the young men laughed quietly at something on his phone.

Another leaned toward Suriya and commented on one of her designs.

None of them looked worried.

None of them looked impatient.

They simply continued working.

The superior tapped his fingers lightly on the desk.

Then he made a decision.

"Change the test time."

The room went silent.

"Move the schedule to 2 PM."

Several officers immediately began sending messages to the media coordination team.

Within minutes, news channels began broadcasting the update.

"The government testing session for the eleven celebrities has been rescheduled."

"New test time: 2 PM."

Inside the villa control room, Baby's calm voice spoke softly.

"However long they extend the time…"

"…they will not find anything."

Long Jinhai and Long Jinmei were no longer smiling.

Both of them were now watching the screens with colder expressions.

The delay had irritated them.

Jinhai spoke quietly.

"They're becoming curious."

Jinmei crossed her arms.

"They're wasting time."

Meanwhile, inside the government observation hall, the discussion continued.

One officer raised another suggestion.

"Sir… should we invite additional cyber specialists?"

"More advanced hacking teams."

The superior looked toward the cyber division.

"What do you think?"

The lead cyber officer nodded.

"We can bring in external experts."

"Some of the best private hackers."

"They might discover something."

The superior gave a short reply.

"Do it."

"Use every method available."

Another officer then spoke again.

"Sir… there is still something strange."

The superior looked at him.

"What is it?"

"Until now… no powerful person has contacted the government in favor of these eleven."

The officer shook his head slowly.

"That is extremely unusual."

"In small cases, politicians or businessmen often try to interfere."

"But here…"

He looked again at the screen showing the calm group inside the waiting room.

"…nothing."

The superior's eyes narrowed slightly.

He finally spoke in a quiet voice.

"That may mean one of two things."

The entire room waited for his conclusion.

"Either…"

"…no one powerful is protecting them."

He paused.

"Or…"

"…the people protecting them are powerful enough that they do not need to call anyone."

The room fell silent.

Because that second possibility…

Was far more unsettling.

Inside the government observation hall, the tension in the room slowly thickened.

The superior officer remained seated, his sharp eyes fixed on the large screens for a moment longer. Then he finally turned away from the monitors and looked toward the investigation team.

"Find their past."

His voice was calm, but the order was clear.

"I want everything."

"Where they came from."

"What they were doing before they became famous."

"Who their families are."

"Every record."

Several officers immediately began checking their files.

Before anyone could move further, one officer who had been standing near the back of the room stepped forward quickly.

"Sir… we already collected that data."

The superior looked at him.

"But?"

The officer hesitated slightly.

"There are… problems."

The superior's eyes narrowed.

"What problems?"

The officer opened a digital report on the large screen.

The first file appeared.

"Suriya."

He began explaining carefully.

"She came from India."

Several officers in the room nodded. That much was already known.

But the officer continued.

"Eighteen months ago, she received a residence identification issued directly by our government."

The superior leaned forward slightly.

"Directly?"

"Yes, sir."

"Approved by high-level authorities."

Another murmur spread across the room.

The officer continued speaking.

"She is now officially registered as a legal resident of our country."

The superior's voice became sharper.

"And before that?"

The officer slowly shook his head.

"We cannot find anything."

The room fell silent.

"No school records."

"No employment records."

"No travel history."

"No digital footprint."

He looked slightly uncomfortable saying the next part.

"It is as if her existence began… eighteen months ago."

The superior's expression hardened.

"And the ten actors?"

The officer switched to another file.

"That situation is even stranger."

The screen showed the profiles of the ten famous actors.

"They debuted together."

"They joined the same company."

"They work together constantly."

"But before their debut…"

He paused.

"We cannot find any reliable records."

Another officer interrupted.

"No families?"

The first officer shook his head again.

"No confirmed family members."

"No childhood friends."

"No classmates."

"No personal background information."

"They appear in the records only from the moment they debuted as actors."

The superior slowly stood up from his chair.

The entire hall grew quiet.

"Are you telling me…"

"…that eleven internationally famous individuals suddenly appeared in our records only eighteen months ago?"

The officer lowered his head slightly.

"Yes, sir."

The superior's patience was clearly running thin.

Then the officer added one more report.

"Sir… there is another problem."

The superior turned sharply toward him.

"What now?"

The officer swallowed before answering.

"We attempted to access the surveillance systems around their villa."

"External street cameras."

"Nearby traffic monitoring systems."

"Private security cameras."

He looked down at the tablet in his hand.

"We failed."

The superior's voice rose slightly.

"Failed again?"

"Yes, sir."

"Not only that…"

He took a breath.

"We also attempted to access the surveillance cameras inside the villa."

"And the surrounding security network."

The room remained completely silent as he delivered the final report.

"We cannot hack those systems either."

Several cyber officers looked deeply disturbed.

Because government cyber units rarely encountered systems they could not access.

But now…

Phones.

Security cameras.

Surveillance networks.

Everything connected to these eleven people was completely sealed.

The superior slowly clenched his jaw.

Inside the waiting room on the large screen,

the eleven young people still looked completely relaxed.

One of them casually stretched his arms.

Another continued reviewing a script on his phone.

Suriya calmly adjusted another accessory design.

They looked like ordinary young people waiting for a meeting.

But the data reports told a completely different story.

The superior stared at the screen for several seconds.

Then he spoke quietly.

"Continue the investigation."

"Dig deeper."

"Someone erased their past."

He paused.

"And I want to know who."
