SF Chapter 117: Superbad Premiere
Finally, the premiere of Superbad, the second movie written by Daniel, had arrived.
"Why can't I go?" Alex complained again, crossing her arms.
Claire, who was adjusting her earring in the mirror, said unfazed, "Because it is rated R, only for people 17 and older. It is non-negotiable."
"But that's not fair!" Alex continued arguing. "Haley is going, and she's 15. I'm way more mature than her!"
Haley, who was also ready, said, "I'm almost 16. And you can take care of Manny and Luke, since you're so mature," she mocked.
Then she remembered something. "Oh yeah, there's also your admirer, Jake."
"Haley," Claire warned, "stop provoking your sister before I decide to leave you here as well."

The blonde was sitting on the couch, looking a little worried. "I read the rating for Dani's movie. It's rated R."
She picked up a note and read, "Rated R for pervasive crude and sexual content, strong language, drinking, drug references, and some violence."
Claire took a deep breath.
"Then I asked Dad about the movie. He replied, 'Well, it's like he put into a movie the intrusive thoughts you normally don't say out loud. Let's just say he was pretty unrestrained with the jokes...'. 'But it is a funny movie,' he finished."

Daniel was already inside the theater for the premiere. He had come with the people who had been staying at his house, along with Charlie. Alan had first dropped Jake off at Claire's house.
Dani received a warm hug from someone.
"Hey, Penny, missed you," He smiled as he looked at his friend.
Penny replied with a smirk. "Me too!"
Right after that, Lexi showed up with Mischa, and the brunette gave her friend a hug as well.
"Wow, Lexi, what have you been eating?" Penny joked, since her friend seemed even more busty than before.
Lexi rolled her eyes, but chuckled. "You're one to talk..." she remarked.
Penny was in no way small, and she had no problem wearing a dress that made that even more noticeable.
Mischa pouted slightly, looking down at her own.
Then two more girls approached the group, Amanda Seyfried and Lindsay Lohan.
Penny immediately became a little more restrained when they joined the circle.
[Penny commentary]
"Dani and Lexi told me Mischa became good friends with them. She seems to be included in a lot of their outings," Penny commented, referring to some of the conversations she had.
She went on, "But they didn't tell me whether she had become the kind of 'friend' I used to be with them."
"Still... Dani and Lexi are my great friends. I wouldn't make things difficult."
"But I probably... wouldn't say no if they wanted a 'reminder' about our little arrangement in the past," Penny finished suggestively.

"Hello, Bro-manda," Dani said casually.
"Hi, Dani," Amanda replied with an amused expression, giving him a brief hug.
Lindsay Lohan blinked in confusion at his weird greeting. "Hello?"
"Lindsay, good to see you," he smiled, though it was very different from the ones he had given her the last few times.
Lohan raised an eyebrow, trying to figure out what was his play.
Seeing the confused look on her face, Dani explained, "Lindsay, I have some personal rules. Rule number four: I don't flirt with someone who is in a relationship."
"Like you," he pointed out, "or at least that's what I saw in the gossip magazines."
"And rule number seven: I don't flirt with someone who is filming one of my movies. Like Bro-manda. For professional reasons."
"Okay... pretty reasonable," the redhead agreed, now understanding the change in his attitude.
But she still asked, "But why do you call her 'Bro-manda'?"
"Well, you being in a relationship already makes me lose all interest," Dani remarked, glancing at her before pointing at Amanda.
"Her being in my movie doesn't have the same effect. So I treat her like a dude, and now like a bro."
"I don't flirt with my bros, or with a dude..." he finished explaining.
"Ha." Lohan nodded, then turned to her blonde friend. "Why do you want to be friends with this weirdo again?" she joked.
Amanda played along, giving a playful shrug. "He's still the writer of the movie I'm going to star in."
"And rich," she added, making a money gesture with her hand. "Pretty rich. I saw him getting out of some fancy car."
"Fancy car?" Dani made an outraged face. "Bro! As a bro, I need to teach you that we do not call a Lambo a fancy car!"
[Amanda commentary]
The young actress was sitting in a chair in front of the theater.
"Dani and I kept in touch after that lunch when he offered me the lead role in Easy A," Amanda revealed, showing her phone.
"In my very first message after that lunch, he was already treating me like a dude!" she chuckled in disbelief.
"But then he explained why... and I started to find it funny. We somehow became friends!"
Amanda pressed a few buttons on her phone and showed, "I started teasing him because of it: 'Hey, Dani-bro, It is so hot today that I spent the whole day without a shirt.'"
"'I just bought new underwear', 'I'm about to take a nice long soapy shower right now.'" She read her messages.
"And he never flirted back! He always replied normally, like I was a dude," she laughed, then she read his replies, "'Great, I sometimes do the same. We really are bros.', 'Good. Holey underwear is a no-go. But sometimes you can wear it inside out.', 'Don't forget to wash your balls.'"

Near where Dani and the girls were standing, there was a trio: Chandler, Rachel, and Monica, who had just come back from the bathroom.
"Well, I knew he was popular, but this is ridiculous," Chandler commented, as they watched the group of girls around Daniel keep getting bigger.
"Wow, they are all very beautiful," Monica said, equally impressed.
Rachel was trying to get a better look. "Two girls from his movie, Mean Girls. And those two are from that TV series, The O.C...."
"Wait, Monica, isn't that second blonde from that new TV show, One Tree Hill?" she asked, pointing at Penny.
Monica took a closer look. "Yes! That's her!"
But then she changed the subject. "Where is the rest of the group, anyway?" Monica questioned.
Chandler replied, "Ross is over there in the corner, calling Priya. Joey is either flirting with some woman or eating at the buffet by the entrance. Phoebe, I have no freaking idea."
