After calming Rebecca down, Cedric realized several hours had already passed. Using his spatial magic, he arrived at the church in Hage Village.
"Marco, it's been so long. Is your brother-in-law ever coming to pick you up?" Marie Adlai asked while playing with clay.
"I don't know, but being with Marie every day makes me really happy."
Marco thought to himself that life here was perfect and hoped Cedric would never come.
"Marco, let's go. It's time to go home."
Marco's face instantly darkened.
"Bro... Brother-in-law."
Cedric patted his head.
"Your sister misses you. Come back with me."
"No, Brother-in-law. I want to stay here. I want to protect Marie."
Cedric immediately saw through him and leaned in, whispering coldly.
"Not listening, huh? If I go back and have your sister lock you up, you'll never see Marie again."
Marco froze in fear and grabbed Cedric's leg.
"No, Brother-in-law!"
"Stop crying. What kind of boy acts like that? Behave, and I'll send you back again. Next time, I won't come looking for you."
"Really, Brother-in-law?"
Marco wiped his tears and jumped up excitedly.
Cedric then looked at Marie and handed her a bracelet.
"You're Marie, right? This is a communication magic tool. If you miss him, you can contact him with it."
Marie took it carefully and held it tightly.
"Marie, I'm leaving now. I'll contact you tonight."
"Goodbye, Marco."
After returning Marco to the base, Cedric called Vangeance and Kahono aside.
"Kahono, how is your progress with the Shadow Clone technique I taught you?"
"I've learned it."
"Good. Captain Vangeance, take her clones and visit the villages supporting us. Also, leave a few White Zetsu in each village to ensure their safety. Things are about to get chaotic."
William Vangeance nodded and left with the clones.
Cedric then turned to Kahono.
"Do you want to go back to the Underwater Temple?"
Kahono suddenly burst into tears.
"Cedric, don't send me away. I haven't become the kingdom's top idol yet."
Over the past six months, even though she had been spreading Cedric's influence, she had grown to enjoy it. Singing across villages and being called the Peace Angel made her genuinely happy.
"I'm not kicking you out. You've been gone for over half a year. Your family must be worried."
Kahono tilted her head, staring at him.

Seeing her blank expression, Cedric grabbed her and used spatial magic.
They arrived at the seaside near Raquey.
"Alright, call someone. I didn't leave a mark down there."
"Can't you use that Wood Dragon thing? Just have it take us down."
Kahono looked smug.
"I'm definitely smarter than him."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course."
Cedric summoned the Wood Dragon, and the two rode it into the sea.
As they descended deeper, Cedric remained fine due to his physique, but Kahono quickly began swallowing water.
Her body started floating awkwardly behind him.
"Seriously?"
Cedric infused mana into the Wood Dragon, forming a protective barrier and pushing the water out to create breathable space.
"That's what you get for acting smart, you silly girl."
They soon arrived at the Underwater Temple.
"CPR goes like this, right?"
Cedric placed his hands on Kahono's chest and began compressions. With each press, water came out of her mouth.
After a while, Kahono slowly opened her eyes.
"My mouth feels weird... why is it swollen?"
"A crab pinched you. Let's go see the High Priest."
"Oh, I thought something bit me. Let's go. I hope Grandpa hasn't been crying this whole time."
Kahono's return caused a huge stir.
Wasn't she taken by the Sea God to be a concubine? Why was she back?
When the High Priest saw her, he immediately rushed forward and hugged her tightly, crying loudly.
"My dear granddaughter, where have you been?"
"Wasn't I taken by the Sea God to be his concubine?"
"That was just an excuse. You disappeared suddenly, so I had to say something," the High Priest admitted awkwardly.
He then glared at Cedric.
"You're from the Magic Knights. Did you take my granddaughter?"
"No, I'm not the Sea God. I'm the Sea King."

The High Priest's expression darkened.
This brat is mocking me.
He immediately activated magic.
"Magic Game: Great Transformation of the Underwater Temple."
A group of fish-masked warriors appeared.
"High Priest, why did you call us? I was in the middle of kneeling on a washboard."
"Same here. My wife just discovered something called a durian. That thing is torture."
"Silence. Look who's back."
"Gahono!"
"Sister, you're back. Did the Sea God treat you badly?" Kiato asked as he removed his mask.
Gio covered his face in embarrassment.
The others all looked at Kiato.
Everyone knew that story was a drunken lie.
"Brother, it wasn't the Sea God. It was the Sea King. He even made me an idol."
"Really? I want to go too. Tell him I'm a great dancer."
Kahono laughed as she teased him, while the High Priest's beard trembled in anger.
"Enough. Your sister just came back. Let her rest."
"Yes, Father."
Then one of the fish-masked men pointed at Cedric.
"Why is there an outsider here?"
"If we defeat him, will the High Priest grant our wishes? Hey kid, let's fight."
"Cedric, don't mind him. He's new," Gio quickly said, restraining the man.
This newcomer had no idea how terrifying Cedric's mana was.
"High Priest, did you gather everyone to fight me?"
Cold sweat formed on the High Priest's forehead.
This kid has gotten stronger again.
"I just wanted everyone to see Kahono return."
"Grandfather, you're so kind."
Kahono smiled happily, completely convinced.
Cedric stepped forward calmly.
"Long time no see. I'm the Sea King, and I'm the one who took Kahono. If anyone has a problem with that, come forward and try to hit me."
The High Priest's face twitched.
This brat has no respect for elders.
"Everyone, attack him. Take him down!"
