Chapter 35 - 35: The Shattered Sky and the Void’s Awakening

The sky didn't just break; it screamed.

When Arthur's blade collided with the 'All-Seeing Eye' of the Divine Sentinel, the sound was like a billion mirrors shattering at once. The golden light that had once symbolized the 'Great Twelve' was now being sucked into a vacuum—a violet, swirling abyss that replaced the clouds.

Arthur stood in the center of this chaos, floating high above the Himalayan peaks. His lungs burned, not from the lack of oxygen, but from the raw mana he was pulling in. Every breath felt like swallowing liquid lightning.

[Ding!]

[System Notice: Level 1000 Reached!]

[Class Awakening: Monarch of the Void!]

The notification didn't sound like a robotic voice anymore. It sounded like a choir of ancient shadows whispering directly into his marrow.

Arthur looked at his hands. His dark gold armor was being overtaken by a shifting, translucent purple energy. He wasn't just wearing armor anymore; he was wearing the Void itself. He felt a strange sensation—for the first time in his life, he didn't feel 'heavy.' The weight of the gear he used to carry as a porter, the weight of the insults he suffered, the weight of his mother's medical bills... it was all gone.

"Is this what it feels like?" Arthur whispered, his voice vibrating with the power to level cities. "To be the one who looks down, instead of the one who is stepped on?"

The World Trembles

Below him, the world was in a state of absolute terror.

In New York, London, and Tokyo, people stood in the streets, looking up at the bruised purple sky. The 'Golden Rift' that had been a gateway for the gods was now a jagged wound in reality.

In the secret underground bunker in Switzerland, the world leaders were frantic. General Sterling, who had survived Arthur's earlier wrath, watched the satellite feed with trembling hands.

"He... he didn't just stop the attack," Sterling muttered, his face pale as a ghost. "He's eating the energy of the heavens. He's not a hunter anymore. He's a god-eater."

The leaders looked at each other. They had spent years relying on the gods' dungeon systems, profiting from the mana crystals while the common people died as 'porters.' Now, the source of their wealth was being systematically destroyed by a man they used to ignore.

"We have to contact the Higher Heavens," one president shouted. "If Arthur wins, we lose everything! Our status, our power, our systems!"

But their screens suddenly turned to static. A single violet eye appeared on every monitor in the world.

"Your systems are dead," Arthur's voice echoed through every electronic device on Earth. "The 'Great Twelve' aren't coming to save you. They are coming to hide from me."

The Memories of a Porter

Arthur felt a surge of adrenaline. His 100x Multiplier was now reacting to his heartbeat.

[Ding!]

[100x Multiplier Activated!]

[Sense Perception multiplied x100!]

He could hear everything. He heard a child crying in a slum in India. He heard a greedy hunter laughing over a pile of loot in Africa. He heard the heartbeat of the gods themselves, hiding behind the next layer of reality.

Memories flooded back. He remembered the smell of the damp basement he lived in for three years. He remembered the feeling of his stomach cramping from hunger while he carried a rich hunter's 50kg backpack through a freezing dungeon.

"You guys really thought you could keep this game going forever," Arthur growled.

He gripped the hilt of the Concept Blade. The 'Divine Shards' he had taken from Themis began to spin around the blade, merging into the metal. The sword evolved, growing longer and turning a deep, abyssal black.

[Ding!]

[Weapon Evolved: 'Void-Render, The God-Slayer'!]

"Arthur! Stop!"

A voice called out from below. It was a group of hunters who had once been his friends—or at least, the people he thought were friends. They were flying up on mana-powered jets.

"If you destroy the Rift, the mana flow will stop! The world's economy will collapse!" one of them yelled.

Arthur looked at them. They were still worried about the 'economy' while the gods were preparing to 'harvest' their souls.

"The economy of a farm only benefits the farmer," Arthur said. "I'm not destroying the world. I'm just ending the harvest."

With a casual flick of his wrist, he sent a wave of 'Void Pressure' toward them. It wasn't meant to kill, just to show them the gap. The mana-jets stalled instantly, and the hunters were forced back to the ground by a weight they couldn't comprehend.

Stepping into the Abyss

Arthur turned back to the Rift. The 'All-Seeing Eye' was gone, replaced by a gateway that looked like a temple made of stars.

[Warning!]

[Host is about to enter 'The Higher Heavens' (Divine Domain).]

[Gravity: x500!]

[Divine Suppression: Active!]

Arthur smiled. The 500x gravity felt like a light breeze to him now. He had spent his entire life carrying more than he should have. This was nothing.

[100x Multiplier Activated!]

[Divine Resistance multiplied x100!]

"Monarch's Decree," Arthur commanded.

The violet energy around him expanded, forcing the Rift to stay open. He stepped through the portal.

On the other side, there was no sky. There was only an endless white marble floor that stretched for light-years. In the distance, twelve massive thrones sat in a circle, each one as large as a mountain.

But nine of them were empty.

Only three gods remained to meet him.

The first was Hades, the God of the Underworld, his armor made of screaming souls.

The second was Athena, her eyes sharp with a million strategies.

And in the center sat Zeus, his hand holding a lightning bolt that hummed with the power of a thousand suns.

"So," Zeus spoke, his voice cracking like thunder. "The porter has finally arrived at the palace door. Do you expect a tip, human?"

Arthur walked forward, his footsteps echoing through the divine hall. With every step, his Level increased. level 1001... 1005... 1010...

"No tip," Arthur said, raising his black blade. "I'm just here to collect the debt you owe humanity. And I've brought interest."

[100x Multiplier Activated!]

[Battle Mode: ON!]
