Chapter 93 - Chapter 93 : The Moonlight Truce

Haruto let out a heavy sigh, realizing that trying to logically argue with a drunk princess who also happened to be a Level 99 anomaly was completely useless. He stopped resisting and just looked up at her, his voice deadpan.

"Fine," Haruto said flatly. "What exactly do you want from me, Lilith?"

Lilith's playful smirk faded a little, replaced by a surprisingly serious, intense look in her glassy eyes. She leaned down a bit closer.

"I need to talk to you, Haruto. I have something incredibly important to tell you. Something real."

Haruto looked at her, then deliberately let his gaze drop for a fraction of a second to her revealing, slightly transparent nightclothes before looking right back into her eyes, his expression completely cold and unbothered.

"If you actually want to have a serious, important conversation with me," Haruto countered, his voice dripping with blunt, unfiltered honesty,

"Then get off me right now and go put on some proper, decent clothes first."

Lilith looked down at her outfit, rolling her eyes with a sleepy pout. "What are you talking about? There's absolutely nothing wrong with these clothes!"

"You know exactly what's wrong with them, Lilith," Haruto replied, his voice completely level and monotone.

Lilith's pout instantly turned into a mischievous, teasing grin. She leaned down even closer, her eyes glittering.

"Oh? What's the matter, Haruto? Is the great, untouchable hero finally losing his grip? Are you struggling to control yourself right now?"

"It has nothing to do with that," Haruto stated bluntly, his face remaining like a blank wall.

"There's zero fluctuation in my system."

Just as he said that, Lilith suddenly paused. She shifted her weight slightly on top of him, her brow furrowing in confusion. 3

"Wait... what is that? There's something hard pressing against me from underneath."

Haruto looked at her, entirely deadpan.

"That would be your own dagger, Lilith. It's still attached to your thigh strap under your nightwear, and you're currently crushing it against me."

Lilith's face instantly flushed a bright, embarrassed red. Shaken out of her playful mood, she immediately wound up her fist and delivered a sharp, heavy punch right into Haruto's stomach. WHACK!"Shut up!" she snapped, quickly scrambling off him and storming toward his attached washroom in a huff.

Haruto barely winced from the punch, though he sat up on the bed and called out after her,

"Hey, if you're planning to change, you might want to actually take some proper clothes inside with you. And stop hitting me, it's a waste of energy."

The washroom door slammed shut in response. Haruto ran a hand through his hair, staring at the closed door with a mixture of absolute exhaustion and sheer disbelief.

Good grief, what a complete disaster of a script, he thought to himself, completely drained by the chaotic interaction.

I just pray to whatever she is doing out there that when she finally opens that door and steps back out, she's actually wearing a full set of decent clothes.

After a few quiet minutes, the washroom door slowly clicked open. Lilith stepped out into the bedroom, and the moment Haruto looked up, his breath instantly caught in his throat.

She hadn't changed into another set of her own clothes. Instead, she had found one of Haruto's spare formal uniform shirts that had been left inside the washroom.

Because of the size difference, the crisp fabric draped loosely over her shoulders, oversized and hanging all the way down to her thighs like a makeshift dress.

To make matters worse, she had somehow found a pair of his spare reading glasses and put them on, framing her face perfectly.

Her face was still thoroughly flushed red from the alcohol, and as she stood by the window, the soft, silvery moonlight poured into the room, illuminating her messy, silver hair as it caught the gentle midnight breeze.

Right then, a sudden, violent glitch tore right through Haruto's emotional firewall.

Out of nowhere, an overwhelming, unprecedented wave of raw emotion flooded his entire system—pure, unadulterated shyness. His cheeks instantly flared up, turning a bright, burning red as his heart rate spiked completely off the charts.

What on earth is this?! his mind panicked, his internal logic screaming in total confusion. This isn't a calculation! This is a total system hijack! There is absolutely no doubt about it... she really is the Goddess of Beauty. Her passive charm is totally awesome! He sat frozen on the bed, his face burning as he stared at the breathtaking sight. But the chaotic feeling didn't last.

The very millisecond Lilith took a step forward, breaking the moonlight and walking closer to the bed, the intense spell suddenly snapped. The glitch cleared, and the overwhelming surge of shyness vanished just as quickly as it had arrived, plunging his interface right back into its usual cold, detached, and perfectly level state. His face cooled down, his heart rate stabilized, and he looked back up at her, ready to process whatever erratic dialogue the drunk princess was about to drop next.

Lilith didn't say a word. She walked straight to the edge of the bed and, before Haruto could even blink, she grabbed his arms and pushed him flat back onto the mattress. In one swift, fluid motion, she crawled right on top of him, straddling his waist.

Leaning down, she let her silver hair fall around his face like a curtain. She tilted her head, her eyes sparkling behind his reading glasses. "So... how do I look?" she whispered, a soft, teasing smile on her lips.

Haruto stared up at her, keeping his voice as steady as possible despite the racing feeling in his chest.

"I told you to change into clothes."

"I did change," Lilith said, gesturing down at herself with a playful pout.

"I told you to wear decent clothes," Haruto corrected, his gaze locking onto the oversized collar of his own shirt framing her collarbones. "And more importantly, those are my clothes."

Lilith let out a soft, amused chuckle. "Aww, are you complaining?"

"Why do you keep pinning me down like this anyway?" he asked, his hands resting flat against the mattress.

"Because," Lilith murmured, leaning in so close he could feel the warmth of her breath against his cheek, "you look much better underneath me like this." She paused, her eyes growing a bit hazy as she sighed. "Ugh, but it's so warm in here... why is it so hot?"

Complaining about the heat, she reached up with her slender fingers and slowly undone the top two buttons of the shirt.

As the fabric parted in the dim moonlight, Haruto's eyes widened slightly. He realized right then that she hadn't put anything else underneath his shirt. The soft glow of the moon caught the pale, smooth skin of her shoulders and collarbones, making the view incredibly mesmerizing.

Looking up at her flushed, beautiful face and her messy silver hair, a sudden wave of heat rushed through Haruto's own body. He realized he was in a very dangerous position. Lilith was completely drunk, unpredictable, and sitting right on top of him in his own bed. One wrong move, and things could spin entirely out of control tonight.

Lilith leaned down a little lower, her eyes locked onto his. "Alright," she whispered with a sleepy smile. "Now we can finally talk."

Haruto didn't move, but the warmth of her body sitting directly over him was starting to make his chest feel tight. "First, get off me so we can actually sit down and talk like normal people."

Before he could finish, Lilith gently placed her soft, slender index finger right against his lips, silencing him. "Shhhhhh," she murmured, her voice dropping into a teasing, sultry tone. "Listen to me, Haruto. In almost every species in nature, the female is always far more powerful than the male. So right now, you have no choice but to listen to what I have to say. Just look at this as a little practice for after we get married."

The touch of her finger made a sudden jolt of warmth rush straight down Haruto's spine. Steeling his nerves, he reached up, gently caught her wrist, and pulled her hand away from his face.

"Listen to me, Lilith. It's exactly because of these kinds of unpredictable stunts that Ivory gets so incredibly furious with you."

"Oh, forget about her for a second," Lilith cut him off, completely brushing his words aside. She shifted her weight, leaning her hands flat against his chest as she looked down at him with a sudden look of serious, playful authority.

"Let's set some ground rules tonight, rules that both of us absolutely have to follow from now on."

She raised one finger right in front of his face.

"Rule number one: You can never, ever force me to do anything I don't want to do."

She raised a second finger, her gaze narrowing slightly as she pinned him with her eyes.

"Rule number two: When it is just the two of us spending alone time together, you are completely forbidden from mentioning any other girl's name. I don't care if it's Ivory, or even if she's technically your wife—when you're with me, your focus is entirely on me."

Finally, she brought up a third finger, a confident smirk playing on her lips.

"And rule number three: You have to work exactly the way I want you to in our alone time."

As she laid out her demands, the silver moonlight caught the soft contours of her face, highlighting her flushed cheeks and her mesmerizing violet eyes behind the oversized glasses. In that exact moment, her beauty transcended everything else—she looked breathtakingly gorgeous, a literal goddess commanding his absolute attention.

Haruto stared up at her, the sheer gravity of her presence pressing down on him. For a brief second, his mind went completely blank, captured by how stunning she looked right above him.

He took a slow, deep breath to steady his racing thoughts, and then he slowly nodded his head.

"Fine," Haruto said softly, his voice carrying a rare touch of warmth as he looked back into her eyes.

"Let's talk then. But if we're setting rules, I have a few things of my own that I want to change too."

Lilith tilted her head, her lips curving into a soft smile as she adjusted his reading glasses on her nose. "

Go on then, I'm listening. What do you want to change?"

Haruto looked directly into her eyes, the proximity making his heart beat with a steady, quiet intensity.

"Well nothing, but First, I need you to explain something to me. You said you died in that ancient war three hundred years ago before being brought back. If you get killed and reset for a second life, how is it that you still possess your full Level 99 stats right now?"

Lilith giggled softly, the sound light and airy in the quiet room. But a second later, her amusement vanished, replaced by a sharp, incredibly serious gaze that showed the brilliant mind behind her playful mask.

"Oh, so your sharp mind caught onto that data glitch, huh?" Lilith whispered, leaning down so her face was just inches from his.

"Fine, but before I answer that, you need to hear my side of the equation. Ivory, Bellona, and Lustra... those three are not real Aventadors. You know it, and I know it too."

She ran a finger gently down the collar of his shirt, her voice dropping to a knowing murmur.

"They managed to fool the rest of the house, but they couldn't fool me. A true Aventador chooses to suppress their own power and become human out of pure admiration for mortal life. But those three? They didn't choose this. They are pure, high-tier Gods who were forcibly sealed into human bodies. But because they serve the God of Creation—the same one who saved my life—I decided to let it slide and stop fighting them."

She booped his nose playfully, a soft smirk returning to her lips.

"And you, Haruto... you are incredibly clever. You set up this entire meeting claiming we were going to uncover everyone's secrets, yet you completely covered for Toya, Asobi, and Rutherford. You didn't let a single one of their secrets leak tonight. Honestly, it's a good thing you didn't, because if you had pushed any further, I probably would have turned the entire house against me in my anger."

Haruto stared up at her, a genuine wave of surprise washing over him. He hadn't expected her to calculate the situation so perfectly while being completely drunk.

"You're much sharper than you let on," he murmured softly, before his gaze hardened just a bit.

"But since we are trading data, listen to this. You told everyone downstairs that you love me because I am the reincarnation of the God of Creation who saved you. But you conveniently left out a massive detail. When we first met, you didn't have a single hint or clue about my past identity. I only revealed that connection to you two days ago."

Lilith blinked, caught completely off guard, and then burst into a beautiful, breathless laugh. Her cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red as she looked down at him.

"Oh, I see! So we both have some hidden questions that are locked away in our minds, huh?"

She leaned her forehead gently against his chest, her hair spilling over his shoulders as she sighed happily.

"How about we just call it a truce tonight? You don't press me for my answers, and I won't force you to reveal yours. We can just let those questions dissolve for now."

Haruto felt the warmth of her body pressing against him, the gentle rise and fall of her chest making a soft feeling of comfort wrap around him. He wrapped his arms lightly around her waist to keep her steady.

"If that's how you want to play it, fine. But answer me honestly... is there anything major you are hiding right now that could endanger us?"

Lilith lifted her head, looking at him through the moonlight with absolute clarity and warmth, all the teasing completely gone from her eyes.

"No, Haruto," she whispered softly, her voice filled with a deep, unbreakable sincerity.

"Don't worry about a single thing. No matter what secrets I'm holding back, I will never, ever betray you. Never."

Haruto shifted slightly beneath her, his voice remaining as steady as ever.

"Alright, if that's settled, then let's just go to sleep now."

Lilith let out a dramatic gasp, throwing her hands up in utter disbelief.

"Oh my god, Haruto, you are such a massive blockhead! A literal goddess is sitting right on top of you, practically throwing herself at you, and you're just lying there like a total stone statue wanting to sleep?!"

"We aren't married yet," Haruto replied logically, his expression completely blank.

"It's a matter of boundaries."

The moment the word 'married' came out of his mouth, Lilith's entire face flushed a bright, burning red. She suddenly got all flustered, her teasing confidence melting away.

"W-What?! Who even said anything about that?! Oh my god, what kind of dirty things are you even imagining right now, you creep?!"

"I was actually talking about a kiss," Haruto noted flatly.

"Hmph! Well, don't worry about it!" Lilith huffed, turning her blushing face away in a cute pout.

"I'm definitely not going to kiss you before we're officially married anyway. By the way... have you ever actually kissed anyone before?"

"No," Haruto answered directly.

Lilith leaned down a bit closer, her curiosity piqued.

"Well... have you ever at least wanted to kiss someone?"

"No."

Lilith blinked, completely astonished.

"Are you serious? Haruto, you literally live with Ivory, Bellona, and Lustra. Okay, maybe they aren't quite on my level of absolute perfection, but they are still incredibly beautiful girls! You're telling me you've never felt anything?"

Haruto looked up at her, the soft moonlight reflecting in his calm eyes.

"I don't look at girls that way. Not unless they explicitly confess their feelings to me, or until I actually fall in love with them myself. Until then, there's no reason to think like that."

"Then how on earth do you even view them?" Lilith asked, genuinely baffled.

"They're like family to me. Like sisters," Haruto explained simply.

"They look out for me, and they take good care of this household."

Hearing him call three high-and-mighty, incredibly powerful deities 'sisters' was too much for Lilith. She clamped a hand over her mouth, her shoulders shaking violently as she desperately tried to smother a massive burst of laughter.

Haruto raised an eyebrow. "What's so funny?"

"Oh, nothing, nothing at all!" Lilith giggled, finally letting out a breathless laugh as she looked down at his oblivious face.

"Do you honestly have absolutely no idea how those three actually look at you?"

"No," Haruto said, completely serious.

Lilith shook her head, a soft, affectionate smile warming her eyes as she gently patted his cheek.

"Wow... I swear, sometimes I feel a massive wave of pity for you, Haruto. You are completely hopeless. But don't worry," she whispered, leaning down to rest her head against his shoulder, her voice filled with a playful promise.

"I'm right here with you now. Bit by bit, I'm going to fix that dense brain of yours and teach you how to see the world properly."

Haruto looked at her for a moment, his voice softening just a fraction.

"Thank you. Now, seriously, let's go to sleep."

Lilith burst into a soft, breathless laugh, shaking her head as she finally rolled off him and settled onto the space beside him on the mattress.

"Haha, fine, let's sleep! Honestly, what else should I have even expected from a stone statue like you?"

Haruto sat up slightly, glancing at her. "At least change back into your own clothes first."

Lilith adjusted his reading glasses, glancing down at the oversized fabric.

"Aren't you feeling suffocated in this heat? Because I am."

"No, I'm completely fine," Haruto replied flatly.

"Well, this shirt of yours smells like pure sweat anyway," Lilith muttered with a playful pout, tugging at the collar.

Without thinking, Haruto responded entirely logically.

"If it's bothering you that much, then you should just take it off."

Lilith froze for a fraction of a second, her violet eyes widening behind the glasses. A sudden, mischievous smirk crept onto her face as she leaned closer to him.

"Oh? Are you serious, Haruto? Should I really take it off right now?"

Realizing the massive trap he had just walked into, Haruto's composure cracked for a split second. "Sorry. Keep it on. Do not take it off."

Lilith laughed out loud at his instant panic, rolling over onto her side.

"Why are you getting so terrified? Aren't you supposed to be the master of this house, the absolute owner of everything here?"

Haruto caught his breath, stepping right back into his authoritative persona.

"If I am the owner, then as your leader, I am ordering you to go put on some proper clothes."

"Goodnight, Haruto," Lilith whispered, completely cutting him off with a smug smile. She closed her eyes, pulled the blanket up to her chin, and deliberately ignored his command.

Haruto watched her for a few seconds. Seeing that the alcohol had finally won and she had completely calmed down into a peaceful sleep, he let out a long, quiet sigh. He turned off the small bedside lamp, settled into his side of the bed, and finally closed his eyes, letting his exhaustion take over.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Exactly one hour later, a sharp, sudden knocking sound at the bedroom door cut through the silence of the night.

Haruto snapped his eyes open, his single crimson eye instantly locking onto the door in the darkness. He sat up slowly, making sure not to wake the sleeping princess beside him, his mind immediately filling with absolute dread.

Who on earth could it be at this hour? Haruto thought, rubbing his temples as a wave of pure irritation washed over him. Please don't tell me it's Ivory. If she finds Lilith sleeping in my bed like this, another massive, household-destroying drama is going to start all over again.
