Zigzagoon, a Pokémon Ash had caught in the Hoenn region. If you asked what was special about him... maybe it was that he was a bit silly? Due to some unknown reason, Ash's Zigzagoon seemed to have suffered a head injury, leaving him with the intelligence of a child. Also because of this injury, Zigzagoon couldn't learn any other attack moves. He only knew one move: Tackle.
However, even a Pokémon that seemed as weak as could be had its own shining point. And that was his Tackle.
For Zigzagoon, since he only had one attack move, he practiced that single move relentlessly. He practiced it constantly, continuously, until it became instinct, until it reached the absolute pinnacle.
"Zigzagoon: Tackle."
With Ash's soft command, Zigzagoon, who had long been raring to go, hopped to the ground and shot forward. Although he couldn't learn other attack moves, he could learn Deep Breathing. He fused everything he had learned, concentrating all his power into a single point, condensing everything into this one Tackle.
As Zigzagoon rapidly charged forward, Pryce looked at Ash's Zigzagoon and felt an unprecedented sense of crisis. It was a feeling he hadn't experienced in a very long time.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
With Zigzagoon's straight-line charge, every single ice golem that stood in his way was completely shattered by his body, yet Zigzagoon himself remained completely unharmed. After all, even if Zigzagoon only knew one attack move—Tackle—that didn't mean he didn't know support moves. To ensure this silly child's safety, Ash had specifically made sure Zigzagoon mastered Protect, allowing him to continuously advance while shielded by its outer shell.
As Zigzagoon drew closer and closer, Pryce also felt that unprecedented crisis. Thus, he ordered Swinub, "Swinub, Blizzard."
"Swin!"
Hearing Pryce's command, Swinub unleashed a terrifying Blizzard directly at Zigzagoon. The intensity of this Blizzard was enough to make even Lance's scalp tingle; after all, as a Dragon-type master, his biggest fear was Ice-types.
However, this move that even Lance feared was completely unable to stop Zigzagoon. Zigzagoon, shielded by a green protective membrane, charged straight at Swinub.
"Protect?! And running with Protect active?!"
Pryce was also shocked by Zigzagoon's bizarre maneuver. But before Pryce could react, Zigzagoon had already reached Swinub and... Tackled.
That was a Tackle that had condensed countless years of Zigzagoon's effort. It was the ultimate attack move honed through countless training sessions, and the only attack move he knew.
BOOM!
With a massive explosion, the thin ice protection in front of Swinub shattered. And Zigzagoon, without losing any momentum, slammed right into Swinub.
In that instant, the thin ice protection around the Masked Man and the ice golems all shattered as Swinub was sent flying. Simultaneously, Ash said to Sabrina, "Now! Go, wifey!"
"Become a doll."
As Sabrina's psychic power activated, a powerful force surged toward the Masked Man. Seeing this psychic power, Pryce knew what he had to do.
"Gastly, go!"
With Gastly's appearance, Sabrina's psychic attack was blocked. At the same time, Pryce's Swinub got back up, though its expression was one of intense pain.
Just as Swinub was about to retaliate against Zigzagoon, it found that Zigzagoon had already sprinted back to Ash's side. Meanwhile, all of Ash's Pokémon had tightly surrounded Ash, Sabrina, and Green, forming an impenetrable wall.
"Hah! That Masked Man really is trying to pull a fast one! Everyone, protect the Boss, meow!"
With Meowth's shout, Ash's Pokémon huddled even tighter around them. Ash used this opportunity to discreetly drop a Heavy Ball onto the ground.
Pryce looked at Ash's group, who were basically being guarded face-to-face by a bunch of Dark-type Pokémon, and his eye twitched beneath his mask.
"I know you love your Trainer, but isn't this going a bit too far?!"
You couldn't blame Pryce for complaining. Ash's Pokémon were so incredibly worried about his safety that they were practically glued to him. Under these circumstances, how was Gastly supposed to get close enough to control Ash?
Hearing Pryce's complaint, Ash couldn't help but smile and say, "Jealous, huh? Well, being jealous won't help you! We're retreating!"
As soon as Ash said this, a ripple began to form in the air—the portal that would take Ash and his team back to their world.
Seeing that Ash was actually about to run, Pryce hurriedly ordered Swinub, "Full power Blizzard! Stop them!"
"Dragonite! Get the Marsh Badge back!"
To Pryce's surprise, Lance also moved to stop Ash. What he didn't know was that Lance also had his own plans, and they required the Marsh Badge.
Ash looked at the two men charging at him and snapped his fingers.
"Showtime!"
"TENTACRUEL!!!"
As the Heavy Ball opened, a colossal Tentacruel suddenly appeared before everyone. That immense body exuded an overwhelming sense of oppression.
And this was exactly why Ash had blown up the floor earlier and moved Sabrina and Green to an open area. Tentacruel's massive size could only be fully utilized in an open space!
The moment the Tentacruel appeared, it whipped its massive tentacles, striking both the Masked Man and Lance. At the same time, two Kabutops that had been hiding in the shadows launched themselves like predators, using Aqua Jet.
Pryce was fine; Swinub managed to protect him. But Lance's Dragonite had already been heavily poisoned by Ash's Beedrill earlier, so it took the full brunt of the tentacle strike and the Aqua Jets. Under the dual attacks, Dragonite and Lance were sent flying backward.
"Happy!"
Although the Tentacruel's tentacles blocked Swinub, the Blizzard still surged toward Ash's group. However, the fully prepared Blissey finally showed her true might. As the Pokémon with the strongest defensive skills in Ash's team, Blissey unleashed her ultimate defense.
AT Field!
As the diamond-shaped shield continuously withstood the impact of the Blizzard, the giant Tentacruel's multiple tentacles lashed out at Pryce again.
Simultaneously, one tentacle stealthily reached out into the distance.
"Pikachu! Electro Ball! We're out of here!"
"Pika!" (Got it!)
Pikachu, who had long been gathering power, hurled the Electro Ball from his tail. Blissey simultaneously unleashed her own exclusive ultimate move: Nuke Egg!
BOOM!
With two massive explosions, Pryce and Lance were forced to completely evade. The terrifying power of Pikachu and Blissey's dual ultimate attacks was enough to instill fear. Ash and his team used this opportunity to step into the ripple.
"I had a lot of fun today. I'll be taking the Marsh Badge, so goodbye everyone! Wives, let's go home!"
"Idiot! Don't say such embarrassing things!"
"Next time, I'm definitely turning that guy into a doll."
As Ash and his group entered the ripple, the Tentacruel and the two Kabutops slowly withdrew as well. But right before leaving, one of the Tentacruel's tentacles lifted Ho-Oh and gave it a little shake. The gesture seemed to say:
"I'll just be taking this souvenir."
It was only after Ash and his team had completely vanished that Lance and the others snapped out of their daze.
"They took Ho-Oh with them?!"
