Chapter 19: Trial of Power
Silence still lingered in the room.
After Obito's final words, the atmosphere had become even heavier.
The King took a deep breath and spoke in a serious tone,
"Your uncle is coming… speak with him first, because he is the leader of this operation."
Obito was about to say something when suddenly—
BANG!
The doors of the chamber burst open.
The soldiers standing outside were lying unconscious on the ground.
And in the middle of the doorway stood a tall, powerful man, walking in with a carefree laugh.
A relaxed smile rested on his face, yet his mere presence filled the entire room with overwhelming pressure.
Laughing, he said,
"Sorry about that… these soldiers wouldn't let me enter, so I had to knock them out."
Surprise flashed across Obito's eyes.
"Uncle… you?"
The man burst into laughter.
This was Obito's uncle—
Gara.
Gara stepped forward and placed a hand on Obito's shoulder.
"I came here to meet my sister's son."
The Queen smiled faintly, but the King remained serious.
Looking at Gara, the King said,
"Gara… convince him that he cannot join this operation."
For a few moments, Gara silently stared at Obito.
Then a dangerous smile appeared on his face.
"Alright…"
He slowly walked closer to Obito.
"If you can defeat me in a duel… and keep your powers from going out of control during the fight…"
A sharp glint appeared in his eyes.
"Then I will personally take you with me on this operation."
Silence filled the room.
Gara lifted his gaze toward the King.
The King thought for a few moments before speaking.
"Fine."
"No!"
The Queen immediately shouted.
Worry was clear in her voice.
"I will not allow this!"
Gara quickly turned toward his sister and said jokingly,
"Come on, sister… I'll only beat your son a little. Don't worry so much."
"Gara!"
The Queen glared at him angrily.
"That's not the issue!"
But before she could continue, Obito stepped forward.
"Mother… don't worry."
His voice was calm yet confident.
"I won't let my powers go out of control."
The Queen fell silent, though fear was still visible in her eyes.
At last, the King gave permission for the duel.
The moment he did—
The entire palace began to shake.
GRRRRRRR…!
More gigantic pillars began appearing from the sky.
They tore through the clouds with thunderous force before stopping high above the palace.
GRRRRRRR…!
The entire sky trembled violently.
Within moments, the massive pillars connected together, forming an enormous battlefield in the middle of the sky.
This was no ordinary arena—
It was the Royal Sky Battle Arena.
A mysterious place where only members of the royal family and the greatest warriors fought their battles.
Blue energy barriers rotated around the arena, while storm clouds swirled beneath it.
It felt as though the heavens themselves were preparing to witness this battle.
Rin stared at the sky in shock.
Even Obito's eyes showed a hint of amazement.
Gara laughed.
"Finally… after many years, this arena will be used once again."
The King looked toward the massive battlefield with serious eyes.
"Now, even if Obito's powers go out of control…"
His voice echoed through the air.
"No one will be harmed this time."
Then his tone grew even colder.
"Because this time… the entire world will remain safe."
