Chapter 9 - Transportation

Alioth glanced at Two looking annoyed.

"So? Why are you here?" Alioth said, preparing to go off into the wilderness.

With no response, Alioth headed north where the tundra-like area moved to. When he had reached the area, he looked around as if he felt something watching him.

But without seeing anything he quickly dismissed the thought.

As he entered the tundra, the air suddenly became much cooler as well as lighter.

Alioth was never a cold person, but he could manage the cold weather quite easily, but not for people, because Alioth had spent a lot of time working in a cold convenience store that it just grew natural to him.

Taking a look around, the floor, rather than soft, became frozen solid and slippery. There were large icicles growing around the sea-like place.

While looking around, he saw a human-like figure behind him, looking like they were spying on Alioth.

As well as the coldness of the air, the fact that a humanoid figure was following him was extremely unsettling. It felt that he would die if he stood still for just a second.

'I need to run.'

Quickly, Alioth fled into the cold tundra without a trace, he sighed at his misfortune, and wondered if the luck he had got even helped him.

He ran, even faster than he imagined, faster than he had run the first time he got here. The cold icicles blocked his view of anything in front. Some had scratches, just like the cave he was in a couple days ago.

It looked nothing like a scratch, this one was much bigger, much more, vicious. Rather than the scratches that looked like a human days tally mark, this one looked like it was pure hatred for something, or someone.

Soon, when he had looked at the scratch marks, he quickly turned his head behind him, because he knew that there was something still watching him.

Sure enough, he saw the figure again, however this time, he saw that it had clothes, like human clothes.

'Yeah, just another mimic spider, I can probably kill it for experience, MY ASS'

'I need to get out of here!'

Alioth bit his tongue and smiled a bit.

'But where do I go?'

Just as Alioth thought that, the ground below him shook tremendously. But it hadn't even become sunset yet.

'So, why is this happening?'

Simple answer.

Alioth looked below the dreamy pink ice below him, and saw an abominable creature that lurked the depths, ready to devour him at any moment.

Standing at around a mile long, with two fins on the sides and dark skin, that was all Alioth could see.

Sweat started coming off of Alioth's pale face, looking in horror. He closed his eyes and ran.

No fate was worse than getting eaten by a fish behemoth, he wanted anything but that at the moment.

Alioth ran towards the way he had come from, hoping to see the tree in sight, but nothing had come.

When he looked down again, it seemed the behemoth was getting closer, as if it had seen him and planned to eat him.

Sweating even more, Alioth's face started to become blue, it wasn't from the cold weather, it was from something he couldn't explain.

It was like the presence of the behemoth fish had just gotten stuck right in front of Alioth's eyes.

As the behemoth grew closer to the ice, the floor started sinking and ice started cracking. The water flooded the icy tundra and broke the large ice crystals.

Alioth was both amazed and utterly horrified by what monster could cause this. But the answer was simple. What was below.

Alioth quickly tried to run back toward the tree but couldn't as the water was too much and flooded the terrain.

This time around, there was nothing he could do. Nothing to save him from the hell of the sea. Nothing that could prevail from this challenge.

As the behemoth's shadow slowly moved towards Alioth's body, the presence of the behemoth became clearly known, with it getting more noticeable every second. Alioth wanted to throw up, his face blue and ears red.

Alioth couldn't swim.

Soon, the water flooded the terrain, breaking the remaining ice that was before frozen solid on the floor. The whole place became the ocean.

Soon, Alioth sank into the abyss, trying to prevent it, Alioth flailed his arms around, desperately trying to learn to swim, but to no avail.

Sadly, he sank even further in, drowning Alioth. He was fully submerged in the water, he closed his eyes, hoping the pink murky water wouldn't consume him.

He cursed inwardly, and opened his eyes, only to see a blurry dark sea creature right below his hand and body.

The teeth were bright white with a tint of blood on it, the creature and scythe-like arms and had about as many teeth as sharks did.

'I don't want to die'

Alioth began drowning, sinking and becoming even closer to the monster, the water was cold, cold enough to where Alioth couldn't even move anymore.

All Alioth could do was see, and the only thing he saw was his fate, dead, inside the creature's mouth with thousands of teeth ready to eat him.

Alioth was frightened, frightened to where he couldn't even think to himself, all he could do was repeat the same scenario, over and over again. Death by thousands of teeth.

Big pointy sharp teeth.

As Alioth drifted closer to the behemoth, he saw that it had so many eyes, that he couldn't even count them all in a five minute sitting. He would simply lose track.

Suddenly, the behemoth finally noticed Alioth, it swam up, faster than he could run, twenty times over.

And at the same time the behemoth started moving, Alioth passed out.

The behemoth reached Alioth's body and opened its large wide mouth.

KH (He eaten, the crunch sfx)

Along with Alioth, thousands of gallons of water were swallowed along with him.
