Ariel's smirk grew just a little. "I am cooking with you."
Edmund stared at her like he had heard wrong.
Of all things… that?
She would be standing close. Moving around him.
Wearing that.
His jaw tightened slightly.
He could already picture it too clearly, her beside him, reaching, shifting, that loose shirt brushing against her thighs every time she moved. And the fact that she was not wearing anything underneath did not help.
He felt like he was going to go crazy before the end of the cooking.
His thoughts slipped for a brief second, and he had to pull them back quickly before they went any further.
This was exactly what he had been trying to avoid. And now she was asking to stand beside him through all of it.
He exhaled quietly.
He could have seen this coming and avoid it from the very moment the thoughts cross her mind… but he did not want to invade her thoughts.
