His hand stretched out, and he placed it on her waist, pulling her back gently to face him. But she simply moved with the pull, turning slightly under his hands, but his hold was stronger, keeping her in place.
Azai could not quite place his hand on what was wrong.
Could it be sleepwalking? No… this did not feel like sleep walking. It felt as though she knew exactly where she was heading.
He placed both his hands on her shoulders, shaking her slightly. "Adeline… are you there?"
Then her lips trembled as a tear slipped from her eyes.
"Mother… fa—ther… do not leave without me…" she whispered.
Her tears mixed with the rain as Azai stared at her..He looked away for a brief second, something tightened slightly at his chest, before he looked back at her again.
