The voice was unfamiliar at best, but it still sent shivers down her spine.
Eve watched him quietly, waiting for him to reveal his identity or take off his mask.
How did he even know that it was her behind the mask?
She clenched her fists into the folds of her dress when he just continued to stare at her. She could hardly see his eyes, but it was bright enough to catch the smirk on his face.
Her own mask suddenly felt useless.
"Who, may I ask, are you?"
He chuckled, leaning over as he did so.
Then he reached behind his head and untied his mask, shaking out his curly hair.
Eve just stared, just as lost as she had been when he was masked.
He had a pointy noise, small mouth and round eyes… with very curly hair. He was good-looking, but after spending hours studying Theodore's perfect face, she felt he was quite lacking.
His smirk vanished as she just continued to stare.
"You really do not know who I am?"
She shook her head. "Have we met before?"
