Chapter 2 - Part–1: The Girl I Didn't Know

In the busy city of Dhaka, there was an old college called Nilmoni College.

The college was not very big, but it had its own quiet beauty.

A large Krishnachura tree stood at the front of the campus, beside it a small garden, and the main building was made of old red bricks.

This was where Sadia Rahman studied.

Sadia was a very simple girl.

She didn't talk much and didn't like mixing with too many people.

She had only a few friends. After classes, most of the time she would sit quietly in the college library, reading books.

Books were her favorite thing in the world.

Sometimes she would think to herself,

"One day I will become something great."

Her dream was to become a doctor.

The reason behind this dream was something from her childhood.

When she was younger, her father once became very sick. During that time, her family had to struggle a lot in hospitals. Seeing all that pain, a dream slowly grew inside her heart.

"When I grow up, I want to help people."

That day was a soft autumn afternoon.

The sky had thin clouds, and the air carried a calm, peaceful feeling. College had just ended for the day.

Sadia was walking out of the library with several books in her arms.

While walking, she suddenly bumped into someone.

All the books fell to the ground.

Sadia got a little nervous.

Immediately, the boy bent down and quickly started picking up the books.

His voice was calm.

"Sorry… it happened because of me."

Sadia lowered her head and softly said,

"It's okay… no problem."

The boy handed the books back to her and smiled.

His smile was strangely warm.

He said,

"So many books! Are you going to read all of them?"

Sadia felt a little shy.

"Yes… I like reading."

The boy looked impressed.

"That's great. Nowadays most people don't even want to read books."

Sadia didn't say anything more.

She simply nodded and started walking away.

From behind, the boy called out,

"Hey… can I know your name?"

Sadia stopped for a moment.

Then quietly said,

"Sadia."

The boy smiled.

"I'm Arian."

Sadia didn't say anything else and walked away.

But something strange happened.

After going home that evening, she kept remembering that boy's smile again and again.

Meanwhile, Arian was still standing near the college gate.

His friend Rafi came and asked,

"Why are you standing here?"

Arian smiled a little.

"I met a girl today."

Rafi joked,

"Oh! Love at first sight?"

Arian shook his head.

"No… but she's different."

"Different how?"

Arian stayed silent for a moment.

Then he said quietly,

"There's a dream in her eyes."

After that day, both of them returned to their normal lives.

But neither of them knew—

That small moment of meeting would one day become the biggest story of their lives.

And that story would have—

Love, misunderstandings, distance, sacrifice…

And one question:

Will they be able to stay together till the end?

(To be continued…)
