Chapter 1 - Ch-17 Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai

Story Title: Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai – Chapter 17

Romance Story (Approx. 1000 words)

The soft evening breeze touched Meghla's face as she stood on the balcony, looking at the fading colors of the sunset. Life had changed so much in the last few months. Once there was distance, misunderstanding, and pain between her and Arnab. But slowly, fate had started bringing them closer again.

Arnab walked quietly into the room and saw Meghla standing alone. He paused for a moment, watching her. The same Meghla… the same gentle eyes… yet there was a new depth in them, a story of love and struggle.

"Meghla…" Arnab called softly.

She turned back slowly. For a moment their eyes met, and silence filled the room. Sometimes silence speaks louder than words.

"Tum thik acho?" Arnab asked gently.

Meghla smiled faintly. "Haan… ami thik achi. Kintu jano Arnab, kokhono kokhono mone hoy jibon amader ke onek ghurye abar ek jaygay ene dar karay."

Arnab nodded. "Maybe because some people are meant to return."

Meghla looked at him carefully. Arnab's voice carried a quiet honesty tonight.

Days ago, they had finally cleared many misunderstandings that had separated them for years. But even after forgiveness, rebuilding love takes time. Trust grows slowly, like a small plant.

That night they sat together after dinner. Rain started falling outside, tapping softly on the window.

"Meghla," Arnab said after a pause, "do you remember the first day we met?"

Meghla laughed softly. "Of course. You were so serious. I thought you were a very rude person."

Arnab smiled. "And I thought you talked too much."

Both of them laughed. It felt strange yet beautiful… laughing together again.

But suddenly Meghla became quiet.

"Arnab… ekta proshno jiggesh korbo?"

"Of course."

"Jodi amra shei shomoy alada na hotam… tahole ki amader jibon onno rokom hoto?"

Arnab thought for a long moment.

"Maybe," he said slowly. "But then we wouldn't understand the value of what we have today."

Meghla felt something warm in her heart hearing that.

Sometimes love does not disappear; it simply waits for the right time to return.

Later that night, Meghla went to the terrace alone. The rain had stopped and the sky was full of stars.

Arnab followed her quietly.

"You like stars, right?" he asked.

Meghla nodded. "They remind me that even in darkness, there is always light somewhere."

Arnab stood beside her. For the first time in years, he felt peaceful standing next to her.

"Meghla," he said softly, "I know I made mistakes in the past. I hurt you… and maybe I hurt myself too. But if life gives me another chance… I want to make things right."

Meghla looked at him. There was sincerity in his eyes.

"Arnab… life already gave us another chance," she replied.

The wind blew softly across the terrace.

For a moment neither of them spoke. But something had changed between them tonight. The wall that once stood between their hearts was slowly breaking.

Arnab gently held Meghla's hand.

She did not pull it away.

That simple moment felt more powerful than any promise.

Suddenly Meghla said with a teasing smile, "You know Arnab, you have changed a lot."

Arnab raised an eyebrow. "Really? How?"

"You talk more now."

Arnab laughed. "That's because earlier you never let me speak."

They both laughed again.

From downstairs, Meghla's mother called them for tea.

As they walked down the stairs together, Meghla realized something important.

Love is not always perfect. It faces storms, mistakes, and heartbreak. But if two hearts truly care for each other, they find a way back.

That night, Meghla wrote something in her diary.

"Sometimes people leave our lives. But if the love is real, life finds a way to bring them back."

Arnab was sitting in the living room when she came back.

"Ki likhchile?" he asked curiously.

Meghla smiled mysteriously. "Secret."

Arnab pretended to be upset. "Now I really want to know."

"Somoy hole jante parbe," she replied.

Arnab looked at her with a gentle smile.

For the first time in a long time, the future did not feel uncertain anymore.

It felt hopeful.

But somewhere deep inside, both of them knew that life still had many surprises waiting ahead.

Because every love story has moments of happiness… and moments that test the strength of the heart.

And their story was not finished yet.

Maybe the next chapter would bring new challenges.

Or maybe… a new beginning.

But tonight, one thing was certain.

They had found their way back to each other.

Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai… sometimes love truly knows the way home.
