The next morning we were woken up by the soft sound of more music.
It seemed that if there were people in the village, so too would there be music.
Jane was still soundly asleep on my chest, and now in the daylight I could see her again in all her beauty.
I wanted to stay like this forever, only thinking about her and us, but sadly that wasent the world we lived in.
Just opening up global chat soured my mood.
Although most of the people I met were kind and good, that was because thoughts were the people I surrounded myself with.
In reality, global chat was already a mess of hate.
Quotes from every great conqueror were being thrown around like candy, the only reprieve was one name in it all.

[Guildmaster Lance, of New World] "Humanity is meant to be one will everyone. Untied we stand, divided we fall. If anyone acts against a foreign race we will treat them as the people they are, MURDERERS."

Even though we had our differences, the New World guild was ultimately founded on the principle of making the world a better place for everyone.
With everything going on I still hadn't made an official statement about it, but a quick look at the guild chat showed no one was interested in a genocide.
[Whisper to Jake] "I'm sure most of the paladin and priest orders aren't too happy, what are your thoughts on trying to get a united front going?"
[Whisper from Jake] "Talk to Lance, he's already been talking to a lot of the smaller guilds about it."
It was annoying he beat me to it, but in truth its to be expected.
The New World guild was massive, and Lance was a full time guildmaster.
[Whisper to Lance] "Is The High Order invited into this coalition?"
[Whisper from Lance] "All are welcome as long as they join under the New Worlds rules."
So he didn't say anything to me knowing I wouldn't decide to go under him.
I mean, I named my guild The High Order so it was a pretty solid guess on his part.
[Whisper to Lance] "I hope we remain allies throughout this, no matter how the world devolves we should remain a shining pillar of what's right"
After sending the message I start to pet Janes hair a little, accidentally waking her up in the process.
"Good morning" I say, kissing the top of her head.
"Mhmmm" She groans, slowly rolling onto her back beside me.
"Did you sleep well?"
"Mhmm yah" She looks over to me, kissing my cheek before committing to standing up "Global chat is a mess"
"Yah, im going to stay here a while longer to learn the language…Do you, want to stay with me?"
She starts to stretch, bending in ways that quite frankly look painful.
"Yah, of course Tero"
I can't help but smile, beyond any expectation things seemed to be working out.
Taking the time I layed back into the grass, closing my eyes and expanding my mana out to feel out the village again.
"Im going to learn how to play their drums, join me when you get up!" Jane says, already running over to the nearest circle of people.
I spent a long while observing this time around, exploring their music and powers where I could.
Even simple drum beats affected mana in the area, riling it up and moving it.
It was evident that nearly every beastman had access to some sort of bard like magic, which implied that humans might have a collective magic as well.
It was something I would have to investigate another day, but my first guess was that our ability to 'see' if a creature had a soul through their eyes was a part of it.
With that being said, I was having a good time just enjoying people watching.
I was in a whole new culture, a whole new way of life, and quite frankly I was enjoying it.
It took a while to get the languide down to a rudimentary level, and my next step would be to practice talking with someone.
The closest person near me was a deer girl.
Like most of the people living here she had a design painted across her fur, similar to tribal tattoos on earth.
"Um, Talk me" I say, thinking a moment before adding "Please"
She gave me an understandably odd look with a hint of a smile before responding.
"Eyroua oyjinneg the llaigve?" She says slowly for me.
I was able to get the jist of what she was saying, something like "are you enjoying the village"
"Yes! Very..Uhh. Pretty!" I respond, using a battery of hand gestures alongside every word.
She smiles a bit, pointing to herself "Pretty you asy?"
I couldent quite make out the last word, but it was clear I had made a mistake.
Probably there were multiple forms of the word pretty, and I used one a bullman said to a woman.
"No no no!" I try to clarify.
"No!?" She says, faking outrage while her smile widens.
"Aggg" I can't hold back the embarrassment at this point as my cheeks flush "Sorry"
"Tis kaoy" She says, assuring me its okay as I try to curb my embarrassment a bit more "Rae you with her?" she says next, pointing to Jane who is now happily playing the drums.
"Ohh um. Uh. I think?" I say, trying to do my best to come up with the word for think as I point to my head.
Thankfully she nods, telling me I got it right.
"I rmemebre benig human. I thnik I like this more" She says, my ability to understand her getting better even now as I hadn't stopped observing the area.
"Well. I like it, still." I say, pausing a bit in between phrases. "Uh, what. You do. Fun?"
"Insg and dance" She responds.
The second word was dance, so I assumed the first was probably sing based on what ive seen.
"Mhm. Whats…Uhh. Level like?" I try to say, it was about time i get some insight as to if there progression is similar to ours.
"We go out and hunt massive beasts, rolwd ssoebs" The last two words I could only guess one was boss.
"Ahh. Do you have a…Uhh. Very dangerous area?" I say, trying to feel out the word dungeon.
"Ahh, level ##?" I didn't really have their numeric system down yet, but still I knew she was talking about a higher level zone.
"Um, no no no. Concentrated?"
She looks at me for a second before shaking her head.
"No? I dont think" She says, scootching a little closer to me.
It felt a little awkward at the distance we were at, but the last thing I wanted to do was offend her…
And maybe she was cute and I liked being near her, I wasn't doing anything anyways.
Even telling myself that, I still made sure Jane was preoccupied with what she was doing.
"Friend? So I can help you learn…" She says, I could tell her breathing got a little heavier when she said it, like she was nervous.
"Oh…Ya" I say, nervousness creeping into me as well.
I spent most of the day with her after, just talking and chatting.
Jane wandered off after a bit and ended up in a circle of people all playing music and singing together.
By the end of the day though things got awkward as a few people from New World showed up, but nothing came of it.
They spoke the the elder, then briefly they spoke to me.
By night all but one went home, and I had agreed to teleport the last one, someone with the scholar class, home for a small fee of two gold.
Now I found myself laying a little outside the village with this deergirl, Mei.
It took all day, but I found out she was part of a class line called spirit shaman.
Basically she could call the spirits of ancient animals to aid her.
"The weren't easy to come by on earth" She says after a while of silence.
"Why is that?"
"Oh, I'm from Hong Kong. Just light pollution killed any chance of seeing them this well."
"That sucks, so I guess you like it here?"
She thinks for a moment before responding.
"I like it sometimes, but, its still a messed up deathgame."
"Yah, but so was earth. At least this time we have a chance."
We had a lot of talks about the world, mostly from my inquiry.
For beastmen they got a lot of natural stat points, four extra per level in and physical stat.
It meant that on average they were massively strong, or quick, but from what I could tell there were downsides.
One was that they didn't have the mage class at all, nor priest.
Another thing I could tell was that just like me she was pretty shy, and it was quite endearing.
It was weird, now I was feeling what Jane must have felt towards me…
I was curious where Jane ended up, figuring we hadn't talked for hours, but honestly I dident care?
She was more or less just the first woman I talked to when I came to this world so…
That's the excuse I tell myself as I inch slightly closer to Mei.
I could tell it made her heart pound a little, and I have to say it was a little enjoyable.
"I um, never really got used to all the men being like, animals. You know?"
"...Yah." I quickly glance to my side, only to spot her staring at me, causing her to quickly look away.
What was going on?
